I am currently waiting to receive her ashes in about a week, for anyone else who is in this position, I really hope you are okay. This is so informative. I just received my Diamond the doxies ashes back today. I'm so heartbroken. However, I am glad she is home again. So sorry for your loss. Arnold was so handsome ❤
I had to have my handsome papillon Dudley put down on 11-1-2023 and I got his ashes back yesterday on 11-7-2023. I’m glad I found this video because I was expecting his urn to be bigger. He weighed 10lbs also and his urn is almost the same size. His is wooden so it’s a tad bigger. I was thinking at first that maybe I didn’t get all his ashes but seeing this video eased my mind. My boy was 15 1/2 years old and I got him at 8 weeks old. Our time together was incredible and I’m so devastated about losing him. It’s been a week and it’s not getting any easier. I’m going to keep him with me forever as I’ve given instructions to place him with me when I pass. I’ll forever love that little dude. Miss you Dudley ❤️
We just put my dog, also named Arnold, to sleep yesterday. You can tell you were very attached to your kitty. I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for posting this informative video, as I was wondering how they tell which animal is who’s at a crematorium. We are thinking of getting our Arnold cremated and this gave me piece of mind.
We lost our cat Jericho suddenly just over a week ago, and we are so devastated. He was only 3 years old and we are so lost as to why he died. We took him to be cremated and just got him back today. I was asking this very question today of how do I know for sure it is him. We put a lot of trust. Thank you for this video explaining the process.
So nice, thank you. I just had my cat cremated. The crematory gentleman said tags are used when they cremated multiple animals at once. Arrghh...I hope I really got my cat back. Sorry for your loss.
My baby girl went to sleep 9/16/2023. I will never forget that day. I just got her ashes back today and I almost opened the urn to make sure she was in there. I got sick to my stomach when I unscrewed the bottom of the urn so I stopped. May I will be able to see my baby in that state another day but right now I just miss her so much
I lost my cat Fair Lady to a stroke yesterday, and even though I didn't ask for the ashes, I still wanted to see what the process looks like. Thank you for posting this.
I put my little buddy bear down on 2/10/23, and this is my first time going through this. My wife and daughter want to get some jewelry made out of some of the remains. And I have to say you are brave. I told my daughter if she can open the bag and take them out, I'll pay. I can't see myself opening the urn. You guys do necessary work. And I appreciate it. 🙏
I put my dobie down on Sunday. It was the hardest thing I’ve every had to do. I can’t eat and barely drink. I haven’t been back to work. It’s really a gut wrenching feeling
@YTaaron its gonna be a while bro. There's a women that's an emergency vet and she did a tedtalk. Look it up. I cried through it but it makes sense at the end. I cried today.4 days and 2 weeks later. If you loved that dog half the amount that dog loved you. It's gonna hurt. My heart is broken. I talk with my bear. And he visits me. I smell him. His bad breath. His shampoo i used on him. His farts.😁. Its real. So dont be afraid to talk to him and ask for a sign from your dog. It can come in a whine whimper bark. Smells. But they will let you know there better. Best of luck to you
I am sorry for your loss, my little Kiki was a miniature poodle and cross the rainbow bridge 7 moths ago, i was devastated and i'm still are, i buried her at my sister backyard and now i'm facing the fact that i might have to exhume her body ,because she is selling the house :( i don't know what to do, do you have any advise please
I live in the UK so I’m sure it all works slightly differently here but I still found your video informative. We had to get my cat & gorgeous sidekick Oscar put to sleep on the 20th July. He was 15 years old - he would have been 16 on the 1st September. His loss hit me hard. I’ve had a chronic pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome since 2017 & Oscar did everything with me & when I say everything I mean everything! Toilet & everything. I held him in my arms when he was put to sleep because his favourite place to be was with me. I felt him take his last breath & part of me regrets holding him but I made a promise to him that if he was brave I’d be brave too so I did it for him. I didn’t want to put him down once he had passed. I have some of his hair & the vet kindly said she would do some paw prints for us & we decided to have him cremated so I could have some jewellery made with his ashes so I could carry him with me. We haven’t picked his ashes up yet & I’m terrified. I suddenly came to the realisation that my gorgeous boy is just a bag of dust. I’ve been struggling so much since he died & I’m desperate for the day when it doesn’t physically hurt to think about him. Your video has helped prepare me for what is to come. Thank you, I’m sorry about your loss of Arnold. Our boys are playing over the rainbow bridge 💔
I'm sorry for both of your losses. I lost my 17 y/o baby boy yesterday and I'm unable to function. He wasn't put to sleep but he took his last breath in my arms too. He struggled so much, I'm haunted by the memory of it and the feeling of being a failure, unable to provide some relief or help him. It started on friday evening and he was gone by 7 am on saturday. He finally reached for me with his paw and extended his neck to put his head on my lap (I was sitting on the floor of the terrace by his side then suddenly understanding it was happening "now") before meowing desperately one last time, so I took him against my chest and he buried his head into my inner elbow and a few breaths later he gained his wings. I stayed there without moving or even daring to look at him for a moment. I touched his ribcage to confirm what just happened. I got up, carried him inside and with his little limp body still in my arms proceeded to call my mom to tell her he had just left us. She couldn't come until today, luckily my brother came soon and assisted me with everything. I'm a full grown 41 y/o woman and I feel like a literal child. I have been sobbing uncontrollably on and off like a total wreck for the past 36 hours, today on my mom's lap like a baby. I really need to get a grip, geez, my boy would hate seeing me like this. I've lost pets before and I loved them dearly but him, he was my son, my soulmate. His name was Spike. He had complications of cardiac issues despite proper food (renal issues for years so I was careful with that), previous treatment and new ongoing medication since our visit to the vet 10 days ago after a serious episode announcing what was to come. I just never thought it would turn out like this and so quickly, he was doing much better and back to his usual self... It wasn't enough to make him stay with me 💔 Since there is no pet crematorium on my island, the town vet clinic where I left his body told me he had to be sent to mainland. I have no idea when he's scheduled to be taken care of, let alone when his ashes are gonna come back home and I didn't know what to expect on the actual, practical side of things. I wasn't looking for this video (I was searching for types of urns, actually) but it has been informative - always buried previous pets or never knew what happened to them so cremation is new to me - and I'm grateful both of you shared your own stories 🙏❤️ Thank you. I hope Oscar, Arnold and Spike are at peace on the other side and waiting patiently until we all finally meet again.
Thanks for the video. I just put my Maltipoo down June 1st. She was only 11 and would have been 12 in December. She had a lot of health problems from diabetes to new onset heart failure and recently cataracts both eyes. My heart broke. I’m still crying. Having a hard time dealing with her death.

Today marks 4 weeks that I lost my 2 year old pug. She had massive seizures back to back. She was getting really tired so we had her put to sleep. We are Concerned for our 15 year old cat he yawolls out loudly .. going around the house then he sleeps in my pugs crate every day an my other 6 year old pug sleeps alot is this all normally for our other pets to for there grieving still for our other lost dog.
I didn't know so many other people felt the same way I do.. I just lost my bestfriend on the 15th and I'm wondering if it is him or not. They have sticker barcodes all over everything we got , but I have not seen the tag part yet in his ashes and I have yet to open the bag of his ashes. I do have his paw print in a casing and his urn is beautiful (beautiful wooden stained urn with a place to put his picture). It cost 180 for everything and it well worth the month they put into it ( everything was so beautiful and so thoughtful).
Thank you for this video. I’ve recently put my pug down and was wondering how or if I’d know for sure. I’ll hopefully get his ashes back in a day or two and I’ll be checking the numbers and such
Is this a standard practice/law required in with all vets in USA independent cremation? Should I check these things you specified when I get my dog's cremation back?
Vet took my cats life jan 28th 2024. I was wondering if i got all my babies ashes back. I didnt open the box. It screws at the bottom. I will when i get my ash necklace in the mail in a week
Thank you for your very informative video. My dog recently died and my vet told me her ashes will come in about 4 months. Does it normally take that long? Is that worrisome?
2:47 ouch that lowkey hurted dusting the ashes off of her hands like that lol. I havent even thought of touching my dogs ashes like that and its been 2 years now.
just lost my dog volcan , he was a pitbull but a small pitbull 47 pounds he would play and eat and sleep with her sister freya everyday another pitbull but she eas 3 pounds heavier, , i loved him more then money i would give my money to have him back , what makes it worse is the heartless person who hit him and drove off
It's surprising how similar the process is to human cremation and that it's done just as sensitively and professionally. If you ever have the opportunity, could you visit your cremation company and interview someone there and have them walk through the process they would do? I think it would be beneficial to people to see how respectful they are in handling the cremation and what's involved (without actually outright seeing a Cremation).

I am so sorry for your loss. I had to put down my dog I had for 10 years this afternoon. I hope we will find peace knowing that our loved ones are in doggie heaven now.
@Victoria Grygorovska keep your eye out for signs. I may sound like a lunatic saying this, but since his passing, I've smelt his breath once and him a few times. What I do smell way more is dog poop. Fresh dog poop. To the point where I get out of bed to look. It sounds crazy but on everything I love in this world, I'm not making this up. Just keep your eyes open, and they will give you signs there doing okay. Whether you like the sign or not, its them. Lol.
@Victoria Grygorovska isn't that incredible. My wife has said she's heard him whining and barking in the backyard. I did come home late one night, like a day after he passed, and heard barking. I chalked it up to a neighbor's dog. I'm always trying to be the rational; there has got to be an explanation for this type of guy. Lol. But there's none.
I just had two of my cats put down. One was about 8 lbs. the other about 12 lbs. They were private cremations. The ashes came in a very small plastic bag. The amount of ashes are significantly smaller compared to your bag in the video. I would say 1/3 that size. Why so little ash?
I’m so sorry for your loss. I arrived here accidentally looking for information on human cremation. How does this really prove it’s your loved one? There’s nothing preventing them from filling a bag with random ashes and throwing the tag in there. Seeing human crematories stack bodies 15 high and give random ashes to customers, selling body parts, I have a hard time trusting anymore and I do want to trust.
I had my dog named Iroh not too long ago and he vomited blood after many cluster seizures. He then was in pain and couldn't move properly so he had to be put down. Yes, I also have this profile picture because it looks just like my dog Iroh. Rest In Peace Iroh, you will be missed.
I lost my 1st daughter and friend cat yankee yesterday 5/17/23 her name was yankee because when she was born the yankees won their 27 world series in 2009. But she she lost her battle with breast cancer 🎀 and didn't make it she was dear to me and my family most to my sister who battle with anxiety my yankee always slept with her and kiss her just to calm her down. But she rest now its her turn to feel free from pain she going through I love you gorda so much ill see you in the next life
I’m so curious as to how vets transfer the bodies of pets to the crematory. My cat died during covid where everything was often closed so they had to keep her at the vet for a while and then transferred her. Was she kept in a freezer, and once they transfer them are they just in open air and decomposing or ? Cause i’ve always been so worried that she was just abandoned to decompose before even getting to the point of cremation
You would have to ask your vet specifically. Our hospital (and all that I have ever been to) does utilize a freezer for storage to prevent decomposition. They are frozen and transported to the crematory so there is not decomposition prior to cremation. I’m sorry for your loss.
Put my 12 yr old husky to sleep on Thursday i sure hope we are definitely getting his ashes back and no other dogs and your cat was beautiful sorry for your loss too
My pet passed last Saturday. Cremated on following Tuesday. I was told it took over 2 hrs for my 85 lb dog. When I received to urn there was no numbering on her remains bag or the container. I’ve no idea if this is really my pet 😔
I had same feeling. I felt no connection to the ashes. But those ashes are only the remains of body my pet soul was in while on earth. His cute face that made me smile, his antics that made me laugh, his wagging tail are gone. So is the pain that body caused him is gone. As I look back, I am glad I have photos and a few videos. His fur is everywhere! If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten a kit to make a paw print in clay. I would have made a nose print and four paw prints. I have his collar with tags. And I have his toys. If it isn't your pet's ashes, it is someone else's pet so treat it like you want your pet treated. Hope you come to terms with your pain. ❤
We cremated our 18-year-old cat Missy in January 2002. We chose instead to take home the body of our 20-year-old cat Happy on 2004 March 13 to be buried in garden next to our house.
my cat just pass away a week ago amd i am worried they won’t give me his ashes amd make me wonder wt if they put random cat ashes there amd maybe is not even urs i pay 155 for a cat that weighs umder 10 pounds
I’m sorry for your loss. Every veterinary office I’ve ever worked with/for take great care to make sure that your pet’s remains are properly cared for and identified after they pass. We all do this job because we love animals, and we all have our own pets as well. $155 is a very appropriate price for all the work that goes into a cremation.
This might be a silly question but... how do I get the courage to actually put some of my dogs ashes ⚱️ into a charm necklace? I'm going to find it so hard to do, but I want to do it, I've already ordered a pendant.
I just did it today with my dog’s ashes, what I would suggest is that you wear gloves and use mini siphon thingy to get some of the ashes. Ik it’s difficult but once you get through it you’ll thank yourself for being courageous.
My girl went to humane society for individual cremation, her bag had no tag and her ashes had little bits of bone fragments and it was beige in color.. How do I know if I got my dog and not just sand or some other dog?
I just received my dog Maxx ashes today and I cried oh did I cry. He died 05/14/2024 and I am so heartbroken 💔💔💔 he was 15yrs old and he choked on a bone. I miss him so much I have another dog Maddie she is 4 great company but I feel she depressed too. I was concerned about Maxx ashes which is how I found it video thanks for explaining. Sending your family many prayers
choosing a private cremation is important too because if not your pet might go in with other pets and you may not be getting your entire pet back. At least that's how I understand it.
I am a cremation technician and just have to say you have to find someone trustworthy because I can put numbers and tags on a bag of dirt and say it’s your pet. Means nothing. Common sense folks. Hopefully you get someone with a conscious and will do what’s right such as myself. Leave you with something to ponder. It takes roughly 3-4 hours to cremate at 1700 degrees. Look at price of natural gas and cost of cremation. They do multiple animals at once in different sections of incinerator and keep separate thru process. Otherwise single cremation would cost way more just for cost of gas. Think about it. Hope this opens some brains.

@@pkopoutj3 i know it will. I had vet come to the house to euthanize my beloved Belle in November. Very hard thing to go through. Am sorry for your situation. I did receive ashes back after a couple weeks. Just have to trust it is actually hers.
My cats ashes came with a certification saying that he was cremated in his own chamber vs a communal one. I know there’s not way to 100% confirm since I didn’t witness it but it gives me a little more peace of mind.
I just had my 17 years old Doghter Jada cremated after her natural passing but I wasn't there. I paid for a private cremation and received a certificate upon retrieving her remains. I pray they did right by my baby as I'm a 25 years Air Force Veteran and she was there for me 17 of those years as my service and support baby. I miss her so much. 😢
I had my 100lb Aussiedoodle put to sleep 2 days ago, and there was no chain of custody, no tag or anything. Just a name on the plastic bag. I had a 50lb dog cremated and it’s almost the same amount of ashes as my big boy. What do you think?😢
What's to say they didn't cremate your pet in a mass cremation with other pets? Even though you specifically said that you wanted an individual cremation done on your pet, they could be scamming you and doing multiple pets at once and just divvy and out the ashes into different bags and putting an ID tag on it. That's my fear. How would you be able to know that's actually your pet and those remains aren't mixed with other animals?
I just put my Isabelle to sleep at 10:30 am today😢she’s been such a blessing to me and I’m devastated beyond belief that I had to put her down 16 years old she comforted me with my grief when lost all my grandparents

My mother's dog, Sugar died in her sleep yesterday. We plan to spread her ashes on my Grandmother's grave since she was very fond of Sugar.
My baby girl went to sleep 9/16/2023. I will never forget that day. I just got her ashes back today and I almost opened the urn to make sure she was in there. I got sick to my stomach when I unscrewed the bottom of the urn so I stopped. May I will be able to see my baby in that state another day but right now I just miss her so much
A lot of love to Arnold and your family thanks for sharing ❤❤
I lost my cat Fair Lady to a stroke yesterday, and even though I didn't ask for the ashes, I still wanted to see what the process looks like. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you so much. Questions I've had and never had answered. I'm sorry for your Arnold's passing. Be well.

I am sorry for your loss, my little Kiki was a miniature poodle and cross the rainbow bridge 7 moths ago, i was devastated and i'm still are, i buried her at my sister backyard and now i'm facing the fact that i might have to exhume her body ,because she is selling the house :(
i don't know what to do, do you have any advise please
I'm in the same situation. What did you do?
This is very comforting. I have a lot of anxiety about getting my girl back.
Thank you, we have had most of our pets cremated didn’t know the process thank you sorry for your loss.
Thank you for the video. I had to put our 18 year old kitty to sleep today, and this was really helpful.
Sorry for your loss
I’m sorry for your loss. 💕
It wasn't enough to make him stay with me 💔
Since there is no pet crematorium on my island, the town vet clinic where I left his body told me he had to be sent to mainland.
Thank you.
Awe. He was beautiful 🥹
My snoopy passed 2 days ago, and I can’t wait to get her ashes because it feels like I will always have piece of her with me
Thank you for this! Had to let go of my baby yesterday and this helped me a lot!
Thank you for this, was very informative.

Today marks 4 weeks that I lost my 2 year old pug. She had massive seizures back to back. She was getting really tired so we had her put to sleep. We are
Concerned for our 15 year old cat he yawolls out loudly .. going around the house then he sleeps in my pugs crate every day an my other 6 year old pug sleeps alot is this all normally for our other pets to for there grieving still for our other lost dog.
Your Arnold was beautiful. I wish I could show you my kitty who passed in 2021.
I don’t think I’ll be able to look at my cats ashes 😢I have to put her to sleep tomorrow.
My dog passed away at 2pm yesterday. After 8 yrs of love, she left me. I'm devastated
Thank you for the video.
I got my dogs cremated at a proper place who do individual cremations and make sure you get your pet.
Vet took my cats life jan 28th 2024. I was wondering if i got all my babies ashes back. I didnt open the box. It screws at the bottom. I will when i get my ash necklace in the mail in a week
My condolences
Today makes one week since I put my mini schnauzer to sleep. I got her ashes today 😢
I thought I was the only one that felt that way😭 if I was dusting off my hands I would’ve done far more carefully cus that’s still my baby
just lost my dog volcan , he was a pitbull but a small pitbull 47 pounds he would play and eat and sleep with her sister freya everyday another pitbull but she eas 3 pounds heavier, , i loved him more then money i would give my money to have him back , what makes it worse is the heartless person who hit him and drove off
He was a beautiful cat!
Thank you!
That’s a great idea.
We had a private cremation for our 10.5 year old beloved Bella boo ❤ 1/9/23 🥀 1/16/23⚱️
Lost my Bella only a day ago on 4/6/23 have had her since 2015. It hurts to lose an angel, not sure when but we will recover her ashes soon.
I just lost my toy Yorkie..Her name was sparkle.. she was 13 yrs old. She died in my arms after her bath 7/13/23 @ 10 pm..we had her cremated 7/14/23. there were no numbers on my bag and when I reached out to the crematorium they don't respond have u heard of Abbey Glen a member of the Regency Family
I woke up this morning to my 5 year old dog deceased. He’s currently at the vet awaiting transport to the crematory
Lol.
@@victoriagrygorovska5930 I mean my dog i smell. Sorry, I didnt mention that.
@@bangbang9ergang524 bro, not even joking, it’s been 3 months since my Basya passed. I still hear her breathing, or her nail sounds on the floor.
My Alfie 🐈 💙💙 Passed today after euthanasia to end suffering… we get him back in a week. miss him so much….
wow thank you so much for this i learned a lot and i always wondered if they gave me my cat or just a random ashes lol

But she rest now its her turn to feel free from pain she going through I love you gorda so much ill see you in the next life
Or how can I go about getting the id number you mentioned in the video?
Arnold had a full fun happy life
.I just wanted to know how the box urns work ..
Put my 12 yr old husky to sleep on Thursday i sure hope we are definitely getting his ashes back and no other dogs and your cat was beautiful sorry for your loss too
Great video!
Thank you
I had a dog Mafalda And I Have his ashes Also I’m very sorry for your loss my cat baby died too so I’m all alone now :(
My pet passed last Saturday.
Thank you just had to take my baby and you answered my question
We cremated our 18-year-old cat Missy in January 2002. We chose instead to take home the body of our 20-year-old cat Happy on 2004 March 13 to be buried in garden next to our house.
I just lost my moomoo and hes being cremated soon. I feel more at ease with this video and seeing how moomoo may come back to me

my cat just pass away a week ago amd i am worried they won’t give me his ashes amd make me wonder wt if they put random cat ashes there amd maybe is not even urs i pay 155 for a cat that weighs umder 10 pounds

Holy cow my dog died 1 day before but 5/14/24 is when I got him creamated
My dog was chipped, how can I identify him by his chip number?
The microchip won’t survive the cremation process.
I had my dog and her puppy down that way.
I always thought they mass cremated a bunch of pets together. And then they’d give us back a portion of the ashes based on the pets original weight
What about microchips?
My cat was cremated 3day ago and got them back today how long does it. really take the ashes to come back
choosing a private cremation is important too because if not your pet might go in with other pets and you may not be getting your entire pet back. At least that's how I understand it.
Unless I see my dog getting actually cremated I am skeptical it would be my dog.
Lot of scams these days
I lost my dog Desil today 😭😭
We just put our dog to sleep today around 10:40 am
Does this make you feel better when people are looking for a shed of comfort?
@@Crm678 I’m just explaining the process and what to expect. What are you crying about? Don’t melt snowflake.

Pretty boy ❤️
What's to say they didn't cremate your pet in a mass cremation with other pets? Even though you specifically said that you wanted an individual cremation done on your pet, they could be scamming you and doing multiple pets at once and just divvy and out the ashes into different bags and putting an ID tag on it. That's my fear. How would you be able to know that's actually your pet and those remains aren't mixed with other animals?
I’ve heard stories of them doing that with humans remains, so it could be possible. Ppl that deal with the dead for an occupation can be nasty ppl.
