    Very helpful video. I didn’t even bother to hammer at it to get it loose after watching the vid, I just took the power chisel to it right away and it popped off in few seconds. This video saved me $1,200. Nissan wanted $995 for parts alone. Thanks for putting this up.

      When you chisel are you chiseling to seperate where they screw in and if so did it mess up the bracket on the car?

    Great video! I've watched a few videos on this process. None of them placed a pan below the trans. You definitely need to do that! The CVT fluid comes out, if it's not low like on this car. You also need to have a quart or two on hand to refill it. Mine was full before and drained out, when the axle came out. Thankfully I followed your procedure and didn't make a big mess in my garage! Thank you RB!!!

      I think 2001 is diffrent and fluid will leak out

    Hi brother. You said don't use auto zone parts. Why is that? And which part would you recommend and what would be the price? I need to get it changed and I am asking so that no body rips me off and uses the correct part.

      I would go original or ac delco timkin is the brand I use $150 axle brand new no refurbished or core ford it

      @@RBTheMechanic and why would you not recommend the auto zone one? What could be the issue? I need one that ensures my car runs for atleast another year or so.

      @@revert2theStr8path because they rebuild it they don’t fix the acuator wear and tear new boot and greasing dosent mean. Axle is rebuilt it’s still will make click click sound. If they got core that’s a sign they refurbish them

    Where did you get your cv axle from? Dealership are extremely high on parts.

    Does this have to do with the transmission driveline also ?

      This is part of powertrain connected to transmission and puts out power to wheels

    I have a 16 Nissan Maxima platinum v6 3.5 . The axle is stuck. Any advice

      Which side axle? And stuck where in hub on other side

      @@RBTheMechanic the passenger side. I’m not sure where it’s stuck. I think I’m the middle. 2 mechanic tried to get it off for 8 hours with no success.

      Thanks so much. I’m having another mechanic work on it tomorrow. The other mechanic gave up. I’ll let the new mechanic know if he runs into the same issue. I really need my car fixed.

      I had the axle done and A/C compressor cost me $600 in labor $350 in parts felt like price was high and could of done it myself but I'm in New York and it's cold so I just paid the man

      YOU CAN NOT DO IT ON JACK STANDS... YOULL BE SCREWED... STRUTS YES AXLES NOOOOO!... VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE IN THE AIR ESPECIALLY FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE. TOOK ME 2HRS OF AIR CHISLING

    Could this leak transmission fluid ?

      Well there’s axle seal at the point where axle enter’s transmission that could be bad or get damaged when doing the job u have to be careful when installing it

    Be very careful putting the axle into the tranny! It's very easy to tear the seal!

      It’s same process just easier dosent have the center bearing pop the axle out with pry bar

    Make sure the shafts tip isn’t running against anything while u try nd remove it I find a hammer 🔨 to always be enough if I hold it straighter and tap it and rotate it it comes
