Actually the mahout gave the elephant a snack. At least thats what the gesture is supposed to be. But CA never bothered to animate the snack. Rome 2 had a similar animation, also without the food.

If yes I could see the employes doing this, as it saves a lot of time. If not they had to animate the elephants all over again. And other animals or models like horses e.g.

@@jhjn1498 animation are very hard work. If your model is supposed to move in a certain way, you give it a sceleton. Angle points were you can Change the form of your model. Afterwards every movement has to be created by hand in most cases. Just to let a humanlike figure walk in a realistic way can take hours if not days. Think about how many muscles you move, how often you rotate your body, move your arms etc. Just by walking straight. And each if this minimovements has to be done singularily by hand and all those minimovements then have to be put together in a convincing way. Not to mention complex movements like fighting animations. Hiring a voice actor and let him read a couple of lines takes maybe a couple of houes to a couple of days. Animating a model can take weeks or months depending on the complexity of the movement set or model. So recycling animation is very important, as it can save you a lot of work.

I'm sure it difficult for them. A person like me is perfectly happy playing purely historical total war. But warhammer is massively popular and a lot of those players just find the historical games boring by comparison. I mean I get why even if I don't agree. I'm sure Total war wants to keep those old historical fans even the toxic ones while still finding a way to appeal to this new fantasy oriented fanbase. An enemy stand I hear where you’re coming from. As someone who’s been playing since the days of shogun, I can say it’s hard to top the new fantasy franchises because of the new tactical options they offer. There’s so much more flexibility and fun that comes from new stat types, unit types, damage types..hell just having monstrous units and flying units offers so much more diversity than historical titles. If they could find a way to introduce more diversity in stat types and unit effects while keeping it believable it’d sell historic titles so much better. Like, a herd of tigers? Seriously? 😑
There's always a unit with clipping issues in this game, each time Zerk shows them off I notice it. Look at the Shields of the South, their shields clip through their knees.

I like the unit best which can fight front line while the others firing in the back.... that is some great idea. I am a real TW Warhammer Fan but this DLC looks awesome... maybe I will get it at last. I dunno at the moment... I am also waiting for the first cavalery unit which can dismount their riders. Imagine... sneak up fastly to the enemy than dismount and hide in the forest... something like that. :-)

Im a huge total war fan, but I have no clue why 3K never pulled me in, I think the series improved vastly in the campaign map aspects, diplomacy, character interactions/developments etc but overall went downhill for me in terms of battles and units. Coming from WH2, I just couldn't believe how boring the battles were, the lack of unit variety as well. This DLC however seems like the first time after release that I wanna really go back to 3K.
6 Principles for Cartography makes me wonder why they included him as a nanman general... could have used Dailai Dongzhu, Dong Tuna, Ahui Nan, Meng You, Jinhuan Sanjie, or some other notable nanman leader... though CA is known for taking liberties with history/lore.
I think it’s to balance all fear, terror, poison, and fire damage they have in their roster. Also a lot of their melee infantry has projectiles to soften up enemies. They’re certainly weak in morale but they have a lot of utility
When will magic be fullly added to TKs? The three kingdoms novel which the Romance mode based on has a lot of interesting unique chinese magic, and since the Romance mode is not historical, I don't see why shouldn't they be in the game, the magic in WH is an excellent addition, CA should totally add them into TKs.

Weird for them to have fire resistance seeing they are wear armor make from plant. In fact from the books"romance of three kingdoms" the elite of nanman vine armor troops and impenetrable by swords and spears, at the end they dealt with by trapping them in a valley and burned alive

In total war shogun 2 you can dismount. Also dragons in empire tw (cavalry dragons, not fantasy dragons)

Was Shamoke even Nanman? I know he was a barbarian king, but I never knew he was affiliated with the nanman tribes.
No. He’s from another group called Wulingman or Wuxi barbarians, which is likely to be Tujia people today.

Ooff, these Nanman lads have pretty meh morale. Some of their medium infantry has militia-level morale.
I think it’s to balance all fear, terror, poison, and fire damage they have in their roster. Also a lot of their melee infantry has projectiles to soften up enemies. They’re certainly weak in morale but they have a lot of utility

When will magic be fullly added to TKs? The three kingdoms novel which the Romance mode based on has a lot of interesting unique chinese magic, and since the Romance mode is not historical, I don't see why shouldn't they be in the game, the magic in WH is an excellent addition, CA should totally add them into TKs.

@@M.J.D.R Yuji, a Taoist who cursed Sun Ce with his magic(Or should I call, "Fashu"). And Zhang Bao used magic to win a battle but busted by Liu Bei. Also the famous Zhuge Liang, who can summon strong wind, rain clouds, sand storm, and a bunch of random thing.

Weird for them to have fire resistance seeing they are wear armor make from plant. In fact from the books"romance of three kingdoms" the elite of nanman vine armor troops and impenetrable by swords and spears, at the end they dealt with by trapping them in a valley and burned alive
