Oh boy! This really takes me back to my childhood. I remember building a Frog kit of the Beaver, I can't remember the scale, but it was smaller than 1/72nd, so maybe 1/96th.
Another great build video, Jamie! Your technique to copy the rivet pattern using paper and rubbing with a pencil was brilliant! I'm filing that under the heading of "Why didn't I think of that?" Good save on the lower wings, btw.
Hello Jamie, I have to say, I've learned a lot. Have tons of these vintage kits and these series is going to help A LOT. Hope you do more videos of vintage kits. 👍🏻
Hey Jamie - a great save on the wings - even the great have an off day 😂 i had to pull apart a fuselage also the other day (super glue) awful, another school day. Looking forward to the free hand camo, cheers Liam
Hi Jamie , fantastic build as usual, thanks for sharing especially the mistakes and how you corrected them . I am looking forward to seeing it progress especially the Vietnam camouflage. I liked the way you used oil paint to highlight the detail prior to building . Do you ever get problems painting Acrylic paint over the oil in the panel lines ? I was thinking that using your method of using oil but instead of using it as a panel line pre shade .Do you think it would work ? And will my Acrylic paint react with the oil ? Thanks in advance Greg Bourne 👍

You are old mate! 😆
@@thescalemodellingcafe no need to remind me!
Great work. My heart almost got ripped off as you ripped apart the wing. Brilliant save.
Thanks mate, it was very nerve wracking!

Hi mate. I can't see many in the future, but never say never.
to modify dymo tape with masking tape is a brilliant idea, thanks a lot for this one.
You're welcome mate! It means you can use that bit for far longer!
Riveting stuff mate. 😁 And I’m only about halfway through. This is a brilliant tuttorial. Many thanks. The kit looks so much better. 👍🏻
Thanks mate
I've often wondered what it would be like to get inside an old beaver.
Very droll....!

Hi Greg, I've never had a problems with acrylic over an oil wash.
Thanks Jamie , I know you hate pre shading so thanks for answering 😁
Obviously a terrific build..........I think there is a bit too much riveting for realism.
There's a fine line between art and realism mate
