I have a gap of 28 thousandths using Hastings rings on an sbc and there tech support told me the I would be fine with the 28 vs 18-22. Kind of on the fence with that these days big companies will tell you anything. I would like to consult with the machinist but don’t feel like getting into it with them since I’m such a newb. Maybe I’ll try another ring company and get lucky and they will fit in spec. Thanks for you video I did the same technique.
