- Опубликовано: 27 авг 2024
- Liu Jingru is a well-known older generation Cheng style Bagua Zhang practitioner from Beijing. This documentary was compiled in 2014 and I have fully subtitled it and dubbed parts of it, as well as added relevant info for the international community to enjoy. I will be releasing it in three parts.
In part three, Liu Jingru discusses his training history, his participation in a competition in the first national competition after China's opening up in 1979. He also discusses his life as a teacher of the art.
This is the final part of this series.

He seems like a really nice guy.
i think he is always happy to meet like-minded people :)
My master Kong Cheng was assisting him in that mentioned school for a long time. i heard the stories from him, its nice to hear the story from liu jingru in detail from his perspective and how it connects. thank you for that videos!!
Glad you liked it
I'll be meeting his French disciple in a couple of weeks.
French ? I am french ! When an where ??
😊😊
Nice ,are there any of his books translated in english?
Not that I am aware of unfortunately
there are books of C.S. Tang. but its a very thin book about the forms and some applications. frank allen`s "whirling cirlces of baguazhang" has lots of liu jingru material, (if you dont mind the sloppy execution in his pictures.)
It's a strange struggle training chinese kung fu. Martail artists with limited fighting interest and possibly skills being the prominent figure heads of styles. On top of that you have a strict government that directs the promotion of these arts in a non combative sense. Difficult.
The government actually doesn't even pay attention to traditional martial arts practice here at all in that sense. Traditional practitioners teach and do whatever they want. I released some videos of parks here recently with a glimpse of traditional practices. You can see people doing push hands, wrestling and even striking groups are here and there doing whatever they want really.
@@MuShinMartialCulture that's great news. I thought there was some issues with xu xiaodong challenging traditional styles. Love you're content and podcasts btw!
