At the root of all this is how City's biggest commercial revenue comes from a company owned by the club owners...Etihad. This has been the fundamental difference between Chelsea & City. At no time during Abramovich's 19 years did he have one of his company's sponsor Chelsea. Chelsea's sponsorship & commercial revenue always came from companies with no connection to Abramovich.
Chelsea operated above board. Most teams did not like them splashing the cash, but the cash came from loans from RA a true sugar daddy, not fake revenue.
Let’s go further back and investigate United, Arsenal and Liverpool. But they won’t do that, will they? What about Blackburn? Pure and utter witch hunt.
It’s going to be big what they get. One of the biggest stories in premier league history no doubt . There’s no way the premier league would openly make it this big of a thing if they weren’t going to impose very harsh sanctions , I’d be very worried if I was playing for or supporting city right now
No quite the opposite .. FA wants investment in PL as financially healthy clubs make the FA richer and have a knock on effect in lower leugues … in case no one noticed the PL is about making money and lots of it
The FA doesn't run the Prem. The FA does run the Championship and the rest of the leagues, however. If City does get kicked from the Prem, then the FA could refuse to let them in the league at all. Now that would be a show of strength. They are separate entities.
And this is exactly why the FA isn't handling anything there. It will be handled by "independent" people (who come from the same walks of life as City's owners, but that's just a coincidence).

The City players have earned their PL medals though over the years so you can’t take that away from them but in the future City should never be winning another PL ever again or at least for a very long time!
Newcastle have chosen to not follow the footsteps of Man City & Chelsea. They have been quite pragmatic in their tranfer business. Newcastle has now seen the perils of Man City's underhanded practices & will be presented with a more sustainable way to manage its resources & investments. This situation just opens up another spot available in the top 4 in the future.

Let's start from 1887 and ensure the Premier League charges every club that has breached the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules introduced in 2024, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, etc.
Quite sure Man City had a duty of care to provide accounts which gave a true and fair view under company regulations, anything otherwise is quite serious.

saudi public funds SHOULD NOT be used to fund any enterprise in the UK. So if anything getting rid of them will bring MORE credibility to the UK and to the Premiership
• Stripped of every honour won dating back from the 09/10 season and awarded to 2nd place or runner up and compensation paid to any clubs that missed out on playing in European competitions or were relegated due to them finishing above them in that time period too. • Relegated to the bottom tier of English top flight football (League 2) • Made to start they’re first campaign in League 2 with a -30 points deduction. • A six window (3 year) transfer ban with no chance for an appeal. • Banned from EFL and FA cup competitions for 3 years. • £650M fine (£5M per charge) That should be they’re absolute minimum punishment.
Any club found cheating financially in a football competition should be stripped of their titles won in that period. Would stop it overnight. Forget transfer window bans and fines, does nothing. Strip the titles.

So intrigued as to how this will play out; we need to be mindful that they haven't been found guilty of anything yet. Things "not looking good" doesn't mean guilty and trial by media in just the last 2 years on much more serious accusations have resulted in no action and apparent, innocence. As an Arsenal fan keeping a keen eye on this I feel like a points deduction this season IS NOT the correct punishment. Punishing the past has little to no effect, taking titles away from players that did nothing wrong doesn't sit well with me. I can't imagine Man United and Liverpool players would be that thrilled about getting winners medals for finishing second. They are elite athletes that will see that regardless of potential balance sheet fraud they were beaten on the pitch and a winners medal wouldn't change that. The punishment must relate to the future and it must be a punishment that can be applied to any future club moving forward. We cannot have the view that "well we won't bother with a fine because its Man City and they won't feel it" - in the event of being found guilty of these charges league expulsion must be on the table given what has happened to teams in the past. Points deductions have been a punishment used against Luton, Derby, Bournemouth, Rotherham, Leeds, Bury and Wigan off the top of my head; I am sure there is more. As far as I know in most cases it was for going into Administration; this isn't even cooking the books or attempting fraud (although some of the clubs were guilty of financial offences). The punishment must be severe enough that no other club looks to replicate what Man City are accused of and I'll be amazed if its only Man City that are under investigation for these charges.
No way. I commented earlier about the inability to pronounce remuneration, now my guy's suddenly putting extra emphasis on every time he says it. Does this mean they actually look at the comments?

Lets face it, the PL and cartel of big clubs don't want City winning titles so they are doing all they can to stop it, also previous titles will be stripped from City. FFP is anything but fair. The most appropriate sanction if the most serious charges are proven is to ban the owners and senior management (over the period involved) from ever owning or working in the Premier League. The club and its fans should not have to pay for their actions. But I have very little faith that they will be found guilty of any of the serious charges and so the sanctions will probably be mild.
There seems to be an awful lot of "independent commissions" in the UK whose only role is to... maintain the status quo and keep things going as they are. Like the one on wage negotiations siding with the Tory government. Who seriously believes this is going to be different this time? Maybe the country could develop "independent commissions" as an export product, I am sure trading partners will be hugely interested.
If the only punishment would be a financial one, what difference would it make when they have access to unlimited funds anyway? The only punishment that would affect them in any way is relegation and taking away their Premier League titles, or at least some of them.
Less than 1% people think they are actually getting any consequences. Look how Chelsea are bending the rules. These rich companies and lawyers always find a dodgy yet somehow legal but still dodgy way around it. Meanwhile all the little people get stung all the smaller clubs and just everyday fans
If they are found to be guilty and the sanction is a fine or something equally as worthless then it is the last straw for me. If you can cheat with impunity when you are rich enough then it just stretches the financial gap further because the bigges players can do exactly what they please. There will be no going back.

At the root of all this is how City's biggest commercial revenue comes from a company owned by the club owners...Etihad. This has been the fundamental difference between Chelsea & City. At no time during Abramovich's 19 years did he have one of his company's sponsor Chelsea. Chelsea's sponsorship & commercial revenue always came from companies with no connection to Abramovich.
u are chatting shit....u are allowed related sponsorship.....it just needs to be fair value and uefa/prem decide that
Chelsea operated above board. Most teams did not like them splashing the cash, but the cash came from loans from RA a true sugar daddy, not fake revenue.

as a Liverpool fan, I respect every club in the league other than City and Chelsea. If City get away with this then it gives Newcastle the green light to get started with buying their way to the league. They need to be heavily fined and relegated to the Championship. The City players have earned their PL medals though over the years so you can’t take that away from them but in the future City should never be winning another PL ever again or at least for a very long time!
And give us our robbed 2 PL titles...

Everyone else: you got away with UEFA due to a loophole (time restrictions), not because you were innocent, so better pray harder this time! Use a better quality grease.
They cheated. Of course they should get titles taken off tbem
