The only people remotely fooled by Simon's interruptions and desperation for the last say are those who want their pound of flesh regardless of whether the allegations are proven(they haven't been proven). He's always putting a dishonest spin on what happened at CAS. He likes to say UEFA found City guilty but leaves out the biggest takeaway from CAS was that they were told(13 instances) they didn't have the proof required to come to their verdicts of everything that wasn't time barred(this included most of the Etihad stuff and a few Etisalat claims). When someone is smart enough to pull him up on that he reverts to trying to inflate the importance of the tacked on non-cooperation charges, which ISN'T a major breach or a sign of guilt at all... As Stefan pointed out it's actually a normal legal tactic in complex cases. All the complaints about how good City's lawyers are and disingenuously dismissing the notion that they are acting on expert legal council for every action taken in response to this witch-hunt.

Simon is once again either wrong or ignorant. CAS had the information. They admonished City for not giving it to UEFA but CAS got everything. City simply didn't trust UEFA to be fair and paid £9m to stick our fingers up at UEFA. The only thing that was proven correct and that City was force to pay, was the charges that had to do with non-cooperation. This is basically the same that will happen now. About 30 of 115 charges are about non-cooperation, and if any charges actually can be proven in the case, it's these that deal with non-cooperation. The rest is basically impossible to prove without several people coming forward and testifying to cooking books and getting payed under the table- and that would mean both City and globally recognized auditors testify to have done criminal acts (from tax evasion to fraud), and that as likely as Wrexham being the PL-champions of 23/24...

FFP is a joke and just chokes the growth of football. They should just cap the number of players a team can have. You can spend billions and it doesn't guarantee success. There's been a lot of expensive flops over the years. Robinho at City. Hazard at Madrid. Pogba at United. Then you look at Leicester winning the league against the odds or signing like Salah to Liverpool. De Bruyne to City. Evra and Vidic to United. All cheaper and became great players. Money doesn't equal success. Also, before clubs were being bought and having money pumped into them, they were all chasing just chasing United and Arsenal because they had more winning from winning everything.
For a student of law premier League in this case the fa better have some level of proof for the level of accusations. This is not a case of everton overspending, this is a case of inflated sponsorship. This literally means you are accusing someone who runs some reputed firm of lying about actual figures. If you don't come up with legal proofs or if the independent commission comes out with a wrong assessment, i see city dragging it to the supreme court. Nobody in business will want their image tarnished for some agenda. In all i hope the hearing is fair and clean, otherwise if it's not but driven by other motives fa will be screwed. They better get it right the first time because if any court later on proves city's innocence the amount of penalty someone has to pay for dragging one's name to the mud is hefty. Moreover it's the image of the body which will be tarnished once and for all. They better have substantial proofs. Any malicious intent will do the opposite.

I think City's case is frivolous and vexatious on the part of the football authorities. As with all authority, football authorities have a similar grandiose view of their own importance and it's this that is at the root of the case. Basically, it seems to me, that City has looked at the rule book and found a way of complying with the rules whilst injecting huge sums of money into the club. This is only possible because the people behind City have these huge sums at their disposal so they've injected the money in a legitimate manner by setting up other enterprise organisations that can pass the money under the normal rules of business. Obviously the authorities have found out and are typically annoyed that there are people in charge at City who are smarter than them. This is exactly the same sentiment that leads finger-wagging judges to scold accused individuals for "breaking the spirit of the law" because they can't find them guilty of a crime because they actually didn't break the law i.e. they didn't break the letter of the law. This is how all authority works - they don't like when people are smarter than they are and they act in typical fashion by trying to contrive legitimate behaviour into criminality. I predict City will be acquitted and the football authorities will rewrite the rule book to stop them doing what they're doing. City will probably be expecting this and will likely be working on different methods to achieve the same goals whilst complying with the new rules. This is what all companies do when authorities introduce more and more regulation.
What evidence do you have to support this ? Do you work at the Ethihad ? Or as part of their staff or financial team ? Do you have all the facts or are you assuming they will be acquitted, with no actual evidence ? 115 charges is no laughing matter.
Simon Jordan is an absolute tool. He thinks he knows everything about everything and that gives him the right to interrupt every single guest they have on.

Charges need to come to fruition this season before Masters changes the rules next season. I still think that City will get “A get out of jail card”. If the charges aren’t enforced this season.
This is just false. The alleged breaches will be judged against the rules for the season they were alleged in. A rule change means nothing. If you actually looks at the 115 alleged breaches, you'll notice the breach number for the same alleged incident changes because the rules changed.

Man City are not going to get relegated. The truth is that the FA and the Premier League don't want to relegate a club like City because of the image and revenue they would lose from not having a major powerhouse club competing in their top league. Can you imagine the likes of KDB and Haaland in the Championship. Man City are one of the biggest clubs in the league which means they bring in a lot of income and revenue for the Premier League. TV companies pay the league to broadcast the best players and the best teams. I don't think the premier league would risk such a large financial loss if their was one less powerhouse team in the league. That's why you're more likely to see a club like Everton be relegated from FFP than you are City. Because the Premier League could survive losing a club like Everton more than they could losing City. The harshest punishments I think we will see inflicted on City if they are found guilty is a points deduction and maybe a transfer ban for a couple of seasons. That's it.

Sadly so many comments on here from people who are already convinced if City's guilt. They can't show you the evidence, they mostly can't even explain what the allegations are. But this is the only rationale they can imagine for City's success. Its impossible for them to accept that City has been better run and managed than t 0:06 their clubs since 2008.
If the case is indeed very similar to the one that went to CAS, as Stefan says, then yes, the accusations would imply a serious criminal conspiracy involving senior executives from multiple international companies. Interestingly, one of the first rulings at CAS was about the standard of proof required. City argued that the allegations were so serious that the standard should be "beyond reasonable doubt", but CAS rejected that and set the standard lower at "comfortable satisfaction". And UEFA still got nowhere near meeting that standard.
The PL want the charges dropped, they want Saudi money and sponsorship deals, this is what makes the PL rich, they overstepped their bounds giving out 10 point deductions for 1 charge when 9 points if for a complete financial collapse, they gave Everton the 10 points to prove a point to the Government select Committee that they are capable of self Governing. This has backfired and now they are in a tricky position
@@JohnnyMc5 the problem isn't who is right, simply how do the PL proove it? It is a complex case that is far to wide in scope for the PL to cope with. Therefore Masters sees his chance to wave a bit of stick at Everton and Forest , whilst City will be told to behave.

That's right Mr Speedo.
Simon is once again either wrong or ignorant. CAS had the information. They admonished City for not giving it to UEFA but CAS got everything. City simply didn't trust UEFA to be fair and paid £9m to stick our fingers up at UEFA. If you read the CAS report, it is clear that CAS had access to the transactional level of data and also interviewed many of the people involved. Simon's trying to paint a picture that CAS essentially ruled with no evidence before them and that is manifestly untrue.
The charges were proven correct but were later found to be time-barred. There is no statute of limitations in the PL.
@@toph8298 I think you should read the CAS verdict again, because your statement is false. City was cleared of all FFP charges that was not time-barred, the stuff that was time-barren was never considered (hence why they call it time-barred).
Exactly. The CAS report literally states that UEFA didn't provide sufficient ENOUGH evidence. Meaning evidence was brought there, but UEFA basically completely half-assed it

This will drag on for a long time and will end in some out of court/tribunal fine that will at least give the premier league some sort of face saving. If you are going to bring an expert in, let him speak!

Yep. They’ve got them twisted up in litigation and paperwork. Independent commission won’t be able to handle this. City will get away with whatever they’ve done, which we all know they’ve done. The amount of sponsorship that reigned down on them from friends of the owners was ridiculous. They’re still bringing in so much money yet they can’t fill their own stadium and I don’t know anybody that supports Citeh. Where does their income come from?????
@@pingthemerciless1 to put it simply the evidence is not good enough. There's some leaked emails that were obtained illegally by a hacker. That's it. No financial or transactional evidence backs up the breaches.
@@pingthemerciless1Man City had a higher percentage of their stadium filled than man united last season with being in the top 20 average attendances in the world. You’re clearly just a salty rival fan and it’s actually embarrassing you commenting this everywhere on social media at your big age

@@pingthemerciless1it’s sold out every home game, and will be when the North Stand expansion is completed too.
Simon is obsessed about City and the non cooperation. Any club that was seeing things being leaked would do the same. It makes the process untenable.
The shamelessness to bring on an expert, constantly interrupt him and twisting his words to gain traction is insane.
Stefan knows what he is talking about.
Back when the usual football journalists were reporting that UEFA had a slam dunk case to take to CAS, Stefan proved the opposite. These 'journalists' (Miguel Delaney, The Sporting Intelligence guy et al.) laughed him off when he went into detail about the flimsy nature of UEFA's case. He was proven right. Everton fans and journos told him he was wrong. Again, he was right. He will be right about Chelsea too - unless Chelsea pull a rabbit out of the hat.
It would be worth City avoiding punishment just to see the look on Delaney's face. The man is obsessed, it borders on the peculiar.
But UEFA found them guilty, it was CAS that had to throw the appeal case out because man city failed to cooperate knowing they could get off on a time barring technicality.
An innocent party fully cooperates with proceedings and has nothing to hide
@@philbarton2832until it got to CAS, it wasn't a truly independent investigation. It went to CAS and the case was thrown out, if that's not enough for you - what is?
What are Chelsea getting looked at for?
Why did CAS throw the case out for city???
In short, they'll get off scot-free from all allegations as there's no way to prove any inconclusively.
What a huge surprise, not!
Nope - what they will get is exhonerated.
So do you want them to get convicted even if they can't prove it? Its innocent until proven guilty not the other way around.
hahaha...you WANT them to be guilty of...ANYTHING...rather than your own club to play better?
they've charged them with 115 counts with no evidence? I don't think so.
@@stevenicol1 Duplicate charges. There's about 5 important charges.

I think Simon Jordon is half man half goat, cos he’s always butting in
To summarise the allegations are of such a serious nature. The premier league have very much bitten off more than they can chew, it will be extremely difficult to prove against city and an outfit like the premier league don’t have the wherewithal to bring this to a satisfactory conclusion in their favour.
Yip. But you need to be educated to understand that, but many people on here are a bit dim and default to saying they will be in the conference. Ain't going to happen
Think the issue is the charges are so serious the methodology for proving them is not a quasi tribunal. City will go legal (formerly) if this were to happen.
@@tomcrown9546 they can go legal if they want, the premier league have plenty of evidence. They will lose.
@@stevenicol1If they had plenty of evidence, it would be over by now.
@@stevenicol1😂😂 they've got nothing apart from the same "evidence" that UEFA had...some hacked emails. Not a single charge was upheld when City took UEFA to court. The Prem have got nothing other than hearsay. If they had anything concrete it wouldn't take 3-4 years to reach a verdict.

Of course people have it for City. A club that only has success because a sugar daddy owner... Respect is earned and city haven't earned it. Yes City are a great footballing side but they will never be in the same category of clubs like Liverpool and Man United.
@@mezza.7 Yeah, everyone knows those destitute clubs never had any money and so they grew their players in plant pots and they all played for free.
Who'd want to be in that category anyway? Self-entitled clubs with 99% of their fans that will never see them play. True plastics.

How can this be? Simon is so clever and City are so guilty. Obviously he is not as clever as he likes and he likes others to think and City are not guilty.
Man City are inocent, for the time being until PROPERLY PROVEN GUILTY. But the Premier League should be overruled in docking more points to Everton and giving them to Nottingham Forest as the three promoted teams will return to the Championship anyway and plus the PL acted in very bad faith by hitting Everton with another charge while their appeal against the first one is still being heard.

Charges need to come to fruition this season before Masters changes the rules next season. I still think that City will get “A get out of jail card”. If the charges aren’t enforced this season.
BS - the charges will be heard against the rules as they applied at the time.
Changing the rules now won't exempt them from being punished for allegedly breaking the rules that were in effect at that time (years ago)
This is just false. The alleged breaches will be judged against the rules for the season they were alleged in. A rule change means nothing. If you actually looks at the 115 alleged breaches, you'll notice the breach number for the same alleged incident changes because the rules changed.
@@adds5483Weren’t your club found guilty of breaching FFPR 7 months ago, Munich?
I am more referring to the penalties chaps that will be handed out….will they be as severe as Everton and now Forest….i get the fact on the rules, but I though I heard that no point deductions will be in place for violating the Financial Governance next season.
That's it.
Brilliant.Made a change from the usual smear campaign.Which was immediately in the news afterwards.
Jorden making an absolute tit of himself talking to someone who actually does have some knowledge/intelligence, love it! I know what you know because I was in court once. 🤣
If they are found guilty they have a right to appeal which doesn't fall under the current FFP regs, These charges are pre 2023, The appeal process could last years, Nothing will happen to City in the near future.
Plot twist. Man City aren't guilty. Listen to the lawyers.
There is absolutely no way that the PL are going to damage their own brand by heavily punishing Man City. Too easy targets are Everton and Forest, but Man City, who in effect are the flagship PL club across Europe and beyond at the moment are too big an asset to the PL.
Nonsense...did you even watch the video?
@@mana3735 yes, and the expert clearly says it would be very difficult to prove the charges......which makes it more ridiculous. This is classic virtue signalling by the PL.....deep down they must have enough legal counsel to be advising them that they wont win....and they are probably happy that their key brand asset will not be charged. Your comment suggests that I have missed this.....or maybe you have. Watch it again Columbo.
@@soibiddulph8215 So..throw mud in the hope it sticks. Just do enough to damage City's reputation?

@@mana3735 so in reality you are agreeing with my original comment, which makes your original reply questioning if I had watched the video even more confusing tbh.
@@soibiddulph8215 No...your "everton and forest are easy targets" is bs. They broke ffp riles and paid the price. So did City when they broke them.
So a City fan - as he says himself - is on as an expert, uses “we” and then says no-one can do anything in his opinion.
Put it this way, if he was on jury service he’d be removed due to his leaning towards one side.
And also - telling he says “can’t prove it” ….says it all. Everyone knows they did it, and their defence is to play the ‘ok, try prove it then’ card. It’s cringe worthy and stinks.
So as anybody with a brain knows and was the case at CAS. They will not be proven guilty of the substantial charges, will get a fine for not cooperating and maybe some points deducted but as for relegations and 50 points and the nonesense spouted by some of the Dullards on this thread. It's how it will play out. Simples....
Simon's ego suffering when there's a smarter and well in-tuned guest in the room.
Simon would just shut up for a minute and let the guy speak? Thank you.
Sounds like what he's saying is the accusations are so serious they would be difficult to prove.
That is exactly what hee said. They'd have to prove a multinational conspiracy. That is very difficult.
He basically said a lot of high up experts would all have to be in on it ...which is highly unlikely
@@MickyMadHatter The time bars were a pretty major factor though, and they don't apply here.

My goodness let the man speak
The PL want the charges dropped, they want Saudi money and sponsorship deals, this is what makes the PL rich, they overstepped their bounds giving out 10 point deductions for 1 charge when 9 points if for a complete financial collapse, they gave Everton the 10 points to prove a point to the Government select Committee that they are capable of self Governing. This has backfired and now they are in a tricky position
Yeah and pigs might fly mate. Deluded.
Man City will not be charged guaranteed.
They already have been charged mate 115 times. The question now is who’s right…
WTF have the Saudis got to do with City you plank?
@@JohnnyMc5 the problem isn't who is right, simply how do the PL proove it? It is a complex case that is far to wide in scope for the PL to cope with. Therefore Masters sees his chance to wave a bit of stick at Everton and Forest , whilst City will be told to behave.
"If guilty"?! You don't get 115 charges against you and come out the other end clean. They are guilty, it's just a question of how many of the charges will stick. They should get relegated several divisions, sending them down 1 division won't make any difference they'll just be back next season and continue where they left off. Relegate them 3 divisions
Bottom of pyramid, then they can battle FFP and have to clear the decks to balance the books.
Anybody who thinks they raised the cash they spent in that period honestly is a fan basically.
