- Hey guys, this one is a little different - my brother and I swap out his tired old cloth seat covers for some factory leather ones - this is definitely an upgrade you'll want to do yourself!

This looks so much better than every other "cover" I've seen, these don't even look like covers you straight up re-upholstered the seats, looks great, can't wait to try this myself.
Definitely job that is quite hard on the hands/fingers but yes - it looks a 100 times better. We were also surprised by how much more plush the covers made the seats feel compared to the factory fabric.
Great!! Please share something for rear seat and door panels.
What color & brand are these?
The brand is Katzkin and the color is Cognac
Did y’all do the rest?
Yep. My brother contested out the rest of the car - I just didn't get a chance to film it. All the seats came out as good as this one.
Thanks for the great video! The tip on disconnecting the battery before unplugging the airbags harness was GOLD...thank you! Let me ask you, are there any other safeguards or things I should pay detailed attention to around the airbags? Videos on youtube don't seem to show much about this other than some material that wraps around it...I'm really confused. Please advise.
Glad it helped. Id say it depends on your vehicle but when we did it the only potentially catastrophic item was to disconnect the battery. So long as you remove and reinstall the bag strapping in the same fashion you should be fine.
Some older vehicles have pressure activated airbags in the seat. For these you can generally install a plastic safety so they don't accidentally go off. Make sure to keep the battery unplugged until the seat is installed again so you dont need to reset that module. Best place to start with any car is google around and try to find the service manual. If it isn't free it definitely worth the few bucks.
You said you ordered it from kaztkin for $300 350 thays unreal in clearance um gna try did u just order online or call to specify ur make n model
We didn't get it from katzkin directly but found it for sale on ebay from someone clearing out their inventory so we got a bit lucky there. When ordering ensure it fits your vehicle's make and model as it is vehicle specific.
Homie needs socks
Mahogany Leather
If memory serves i believe this particular color was called cognac
How did you get a set of Katzkins for under $300??
They were on clearance. A vendor was getting rid of prior year models and the 'cognac' color hadn't been selling. Just so happened my brother really liked the color for his gray interior and bought them.
This was also 2 years ago prior to the inflation we're seeing today. Prices then were a good bit less.
@@HarrisonsGarage Oh wow okay... Do you recall how to find out if/which colors are on clearance? How to find out??
@@castleclubclipz My brother found this set by perusing the depths of eBay. He happened to find an apholstry shop that was getting rid of surplus covers. I'd say a little luck and a lot of digging online would be your best bet.
@@HarrisonsGarage Thanks!!
HELLO, NICE WORK. I LOOKED ON EBAY, FOUND NOTHING TO BUY. I NEED REPLACEMENT LEATHER FOR DRIVER SIDE FRONT 2007 HYUNDAI VERACRUZ LIMITED. WHERE DO I SEARCH FOR BUSINESSES AND PRODUCT? thank you for video.
You can check out katzkin's web page here katzkin.com/
Do we know the actual color yet?
Yes, in one of the other below comments I noted the color is Cognac.
under $300, WTF!!!? NO WAY!???
i'm looking at $995 for my 02 Acura RSX, for Katzkin from autoseatskins.com, same for 96 integra and 02 Sierra
Depends on the car. My brother found it on sale from a 3rd party on ebay. There's quite a few there now for various Mazda models at $299
Checked my ebay account and they were 334.90 all included. Listed for 330 but i offered 280. In 2017 mazda changed the seat type on their sport model so they were selling off old inventory. Just got really lucky.
Love the wolf mother intro!
Love it man .
okay so can you do the opposite? there is a car i absolutely love and want to buy but the dealership doesn't have the model available with cloth seats, and living in the middle of southern california (a desert that can reach degrees of 120+ during the summertime), cloth seats are a must have because leather seats can leave you with 1st and 2nd degree burns, even with sunshades and window tint, and seat covers don't often do a whole lot to prevent the leather underneath from superheating- if i buy a car with leather seats can i change them to cloth?
I’d imagine you could in theory. If the car comes with heated or cooled leather seats then you’ll want to make sure your new cloth covers are designed to let the air pass through. I’d also recommend lighter colored covers (black leather or cloth) will be massively hotter than tan. But it should be doable.
lots of creases. Did you get them out with a heat gun and stretch it?
The creases you see actually worked themselves out after parking in the sun for a couple days. For this car the heat gun wasn't necessary but we've used one on a different car with a different brand of seat cover.
Do they change the seats for Jeep Compasses?
Not sure I understand what you mean by change but I did check and Katzkin does make seat covers for the jeep compass for model years 07-22.
Do you guys have a number for service?
We don't as all the work on the channel is just a hobby and not done professionally. I recommend directing any questing to katzkin directly
Where did you buy these at ?
Ebay!
@@HarrisonsGarage so specific 🙄 can you like .......give more details?
@@Denverscorpio we went to ebay, typed in katzkin seat covers for the car make and model we were working on and then made sure the ones we found were new/unused. We got them for a step discount because the following model year mazda changed the seat.
