FYI the skinny burglar coming in the basement window was Walter Brennan in one of his earliest roles. This is my favorite Fields movie of all, just barely edging out It's a Gift...
Fields was the greatest comedian of all time. His Paramount days of the 1930's the best. I have the DVD box sets but not with me here. Thanks for uploading, they keep me in stitches. Must go to bed now and put the light out.
Agree WC Fields was very good actor. Watch him when I was growing up talking 40 years ago. Till this day before I go to bed I put him on makes me laugh especially if you had a rough day this classic just like the 3 stooges/ Abbott and Lou Costello. You will never see again I cherish watching till this day be safe.
I remember that a long time ago, (I think it was channel 5) would pick an artist and show their movies all week. Well, one week it was W.C. Fields and I stayed up late every night to watch them . . I can remember that week as though it was just the other day and it was a very long time ago. I burst out laughing when , during the porch skit, he finally said: “and if I did know him, I wouldn’t admit it” Hahahahahaha. That was for Carl LaFong

The movies where Fields played the family man were like public service advertisements to young men thinking of getting married.

my thanks to the Fields family for the post of this hilarious film. I have always been a fan of The Great Man.....Steve
Ambrose, wake up! There's burglars singing in the cellar!
I love seeing the same actors playing different parts in Fields movies, this one is pure gold
This is perhaps his greatest film. A comic masterpiece first shot to last.
"Are you sure you're brushing your teeth?" Does it get any better?
A BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT WORK OF COMIC GENIUS !!!!!!!

No one can touch him. Hilarious and hellish view of domestic life. And hilarious, too.
Thank You for Caring and Sharing This Amazing Man.WC. Fields ❤🎞️🎬🤣😂
" Great, murderous brutes!" My stomach is already sore from laughing at just the first scene!

"There are burglars singing in the celler!"
"What are they singing?"
Damn that's funny.
"The more haste the less speed" says W.C. Fields in: "The Man on the Flying Trapeze."
"Don't fumble, Ambrose, don't fumble!"
The absolute best at his game. L & H can give him a run for the money, but WC works alone and gets the same amount of laughs.
Thank You,the Family of THE GREAT ONE, For Sharing this with us!
Thank God for separate beds! lol
