Fields had a penchant for funny names, and once in real life he went into a bank to open a new account and the manager told him that a "Mrs Clapsaddle" would take care of him, and Fields eyes got as big as dinner plates. Every time he want back to that bank, he would openly yell for Mrs. Clapsaddle because he loved her name so much.
