Love the relationship between Max and the horses.. He cares about them so much and its kinda sweet.. Everytime i expect him to say *"Hello Horsees"* 😁🐎❤️
It seems like such a fun car to drive. Although it's not that fast, it's like you said Sam, "it's not even that quick, it's quick enough for this car". And by the way, props to the owner of the car for all the work he had to do to create this marvelous Mini, can't wait for the turbo swap.
As a R56 Cooper S owner, this video just has me lusting after what could've been :( My N18 engine has been reliable in all fairness, but the NA character of the K24 suits the car so well
@@flight.5133 I think that would have been crazy good or bad 👀 imagine if the mini ended up being a joint car with the civic.. like subaru and Toyota with the gt86
Is powered by BMW, and by now BMW has more powerful engines than honda, if i be mini i Will chilling, only look at the gp model with the 128ti engine, a remap and really near to pass the 300kmh
what a great swap!! this mini is totaly different with this wonderfull Honda's engine! I do love the sound, and the perfs are realy good enough to bring smile all along. what a sport car should be!
I have a 2011 civic si definitely quick enough for a small 4 cylinder it will move to get over 200 hp out of a 4 cylinder na is impressive and the fact that you can rev it so high and it still be very reliable is fantastic
Their both trash, reason I wanna get rid of both my r56s. Spent more time fixing them than driving. Had to do chain and redo head. Now bottom end started to make noise at 110k miles. Unheard of, all my jap cars you can beat on them all day and still daily them.
mk2 Citroen C4 had an NA version of this engine and even that was fun and sounding fruity for a modern 4 banger. Needless to say it started having major issues at around 70k miles.
My Cooper S (N18) Automatic has same top speed with this and probably with better fuel economy (which is already not very good). Low end turbo torque also makes it very easy to use in a city with lots of hills. Factory GP also doesn't have rear seats, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea for a car with 62% front weight distribution. Are there any weight savings with the K24 as there would be no turbo or intercooler? This would also justify the weight distribution. Were you able to compare the acceleration times with a manual R56 S/JCW? It seems like K24 would be a better deal after 120km/h and on track. Wishing a safe ride for the owner.
I have a 2013 mini cooper s. Completely optioned out. It’s been my daily driver for 5 years and now has 243,000 miles. Inevitably I’d like to k swap it with a turbo. But I also contemplate getting a cleaner one to do it with. But I’ve found it extremely hard to to find one that also has a leather dash. Which is a wierd thing to be picky about. But starting out with a car with one has made me hate the regular hard dash that almost every single one has lol
Omg wow this is insane. I literally saw a mini just like this in the morning and was wondering what it would be like with a 'K' swap and this pops up. Scarily coincidental....
Yeah that Prince engine in these second gen modern Minis absolutely ruins everything. I don't even know why the replaced the Tritec in the previous gen to that crap. This is one way to fix that! Good stuff.
If BMW wasn't in the equation and Rover still existed in partnership with Honda then it may have happened in a different reality with the k24 ligitimately part of the car! That engine makes my heart sing VTEC!
I have a mini cooper s, r56 n14. Love the car, love the motor and driving. Amazing. But sadly reliability and repair cost are making me sell this for the newer, f56 s. Will be missed
Instead of putting a turbo, I would rather go for an Kpro V4 ECU and All-Motor Rebuild where it can rev up to 10k rpm! It would also require camshafts, valves, springs etc.
I don't know if the owner of this car is in the comments, but Jeroen, how much time and money did it take to perform this swap? Just about done with the N18 in mine, I wonder what it'd take to put a K24 in mine as well!
Seems stock besides intake and exhaust. Probably 210 hp if you take into account the acceleration after 100 Kuh, but never ever the weather 240/250 hp.. If cams are not done and it is not a K20/24 hybrid, it won‘t reach those numbers with these simple mods.
Me gustaria saber si me pueden dar la informacion , que shifter box utilizaron ? Se ve todo muy original y sin alguna modificacion en el center console.
The r56 Peugeot engine is an absolute disgrace. Ive spent thousands on mine it still need thousands spending on it as it been off the road for 10 nonths. Brilliant when they work though
Love the relationship between Max and the horses.. He cares about them so much and its kinda sweet.. Everytime i expect him to say *"Hello Horsees"* 😁🐎❤️
Proud owner of a '13 Civic Si. The K24 is a fricken boss engine and it's such a blast to rip around the hills where I live!

my n18 Cooper s has been reliable but this seems like more fun
Boost is even better. put a massive turbo and you can act like it's NA until you need actual power over 6k :-P
Just imagine if mini was actually powered by Honda 😮 that would have been amazing
yh if honda bought austin mini out that would have been amazing instead of bmw

The Mini cooper Type R 😎
Always give my appreciation for those involved in making these custom builds 👌

The later 1.6 n18 engines are reliable in the 2013-2014 jcw cars
They also sound amazing
Try N14 and then let's talk
@@AhmedAli-vy6up n18!
Absolutely gorgeous!😮 love mini and honda.
Great looking car and sound too! 💥 I love my R56 JCW The speed and torque are sublime 😎
The n14 and n18 engines for sure needed a lot of maintenance, but they had a lot of character and sounded really good !
n18 is much better than n14.. n18 with good setup and real 300whp is ❤

It's an engine that ,needs lots of maintenance, but it's one of the best sounding 1.6 engines :)
Very true! Most 4cyl turbo engines just sound the same. The N14 and N18 have a very unique sound to them.
mk2 Citroen C4 had an NA version of this engine and even that was fun and sounding fruity for a modern 4 banger. Needless to say it started having major issues at around 70k miles.
i love this chanel and,🎉🎉🎉im sick🎉🎉🎉.Hope i get beter. NATION:ROMANIA❤❤❤
Yo quiero hacerle modificación a mi motor y está es una buena opción, saludos desde México!
N18 engine is underated because lots of uninformed people think all 1.6 turbo engines were unreliable which isn't true.
Mate this is so sick!! Imagine how many more b series and k series honda could have had collaberations with other manufactures.Nice
This is my favourite POV video from this channel
These is an awesome combination
Honestly i was expecting a lot more
Having a n14 jcw my self in stage one condition i disapear from this k24 quite fast.
But excelent work

I think the main appeal of the Honda K20/24 is reliability, inexpensive parts and easy to work on. This a great combo.
I think the reliability and na characteristics are why he likes it. Personally I like my n18 since it’s turbocharged and still fast enough for me

I have an R56 cooper S and I prefer the N14 engine 1.000 times before !! THP power ALLWAYS !!!
With drop in cams , it would gain around 15 bhp and 15bft lb but changes it hugely

I have a k24 mk2 jetta with honda transmission 😮😅😊😊
Finally a Mini with a K-series.

@@Modmaann the chassis might be. The engine isn’t.
I‘ve seen this engine lamp in my R56 so many times 6:11min…😂but still made it to 170km
As owner of Accord CL9 with k24, this makes me think where I could install engine when chassis fail due to rust 😂
In about anything as there is a "bolt on" kit for just about anything... Mazda MX5, Toyota MR2 spyder... a jetboat :D

My dream swap would be a vr6 with turbo en dsg 🚗💨
Do you think the 100-200 would be a bit quicker if you revved a bit higher?
omg? How do you open just the part of the sunroof thats above the driver? In my MINI both get open or both are closed, nothing in between.
230 not bad i did that to in an old Opel kadet 1.3 liter to 😂
Sorry for bother about this, but... What is the exhaust setup? It has been trick to the pops right?

Either it doesn't have 240hp or it has weird gearing. The stock 184hp cooper s goes 235kmh?
Honda gearbox
Definitely need to change to a more sporty one once he goes turbo :D@@AutoTopnl

What’s the exhaust setup?
What is that rag doing near the headlight?
Nice build but 240-250hp is not that... i think 210-220...
Anyone knows what app he uses??
nice car but my mini jcw is more fast and i have only stage 1 total 245 hp
what year? I like JCWs, & 245hp is very good for a car of that size.
my jcw is years 11/2010 but really more power of this, in my jcw i was in 258 km hour@@mizaqenyad4269

A ruined Mini…why!? Just get a Honda if you want a Honda experience. Terrible swap IMO.
