And NO the hood scoop of an R56 is not fake...i have one in my garage...
I have seen some cold air intake kits that make it functional
I have a Cooper S r55 and the hood scoop is open, so the engine can get air from the scoop!!

Awesome - I have a modded JCW. Any chance you could drive the R56 GP2 and compare? Not as special as the GP1 but it did have a full aero pack including flat underfloors and a working diffuser from Williams Engineering.
Love it. It is so fun compared to the F series
Hey @AutoTopNL, can you explain your view on the tyres?
I got them installed on my R53 (recommended by a mechanic) and in the 30km that I drove, it felt like the sidewall of the tire was super soft and the steering wheel felt numb.
If you don't mind can you explain how the tires felt on your side. Thanks
Edit : Those are Dunlops Sport MAXX? after i watched the full video i think we got the same point, i'm pissed bc with my Hankook Ventus the compund felt too hard but was ok.

Never understand people who own nice performance cars and put crap tyres on them.
It’s my car. Honestly, when i installed the tires i had the same on the f56 i had at the time and i was driving the GP more in the rain (where this tires are the best). However i now drive the car now more in dry conditions and on track and i cannot agree more with the statement that this car deserves a nice set of Cup2’s😄

this is my car. I have it all the time. When i go to a petrol station, people talk to me and ask me what mods i have done. If i say it’s stock they look confused and usually walk away😂😂
