Just get rid of the Eagle mode and change couple pieces and you can have a Transformers Generation Cybertron Red Alert
I could definitely see them repainting and retooling this into Cybertron Defense Red Alert.

The chest piece rotates to show which Micromaster is inside him, and the engine piece is supposed to attach to the 5mm peg on said Micromaster
Tip For owners of ER Doubledealers with loose elbows (ie everyone): there's a way to manipulate the double hinge elbow where the top of the forearm locks into the bottom of the upper part of the arm, creating a 90 degree angle and allowing DD to hold his giant gun with no droop problems. Hope this helps, and thanks for the review. He's a great figure!
Found that out myself the other day, but still thx :) still searching for a way to fix these loose rachet joints in the hips though

For 50$ I would also expect my figure to being able of hold it's weapon properly, I hope you can fix it.
Instructions say to put the missile on TOP, it clips on firmly and the tail connects to it. If you want to do the G1 thing with it below, the insides of the arms can secure the missile very well in fact, using its two short pegs. But I did learn how to fold away the head correctly today so thanks!
In Masterforce, his name was DoubleClouder, Clouder had 2 Masterforce rings that behaves simlar to Knok and Skar, Overall, he looks like Doubleclouder to me.
Can't forget the Hollow as heck Vehicle front end and the Issue of Bird mode being less well proportioned than the G1 figure.
Just picked this figure up the other day. I leave my stuff in the package so that I don't lose stuff. It's fun to watch you transform them.

The generation one figure was my favorite transformer toy when I was a kid!
So.... at the risk of having missed a joke, as well as being "That guy", the missile actually goes on the birds back if we're going by the instructions. This however.... kinda sucks with how easily the tail section pops off, so yeah, I actually put it under him or just leave the accessories off entirely in bird mode. But yeah, there's 2 pegs on the missile made to go into the tail section on the bird back so the tail can fall off even worse. lol

Ok with yours having the qc issues it’s clear that his palms are (not) sweaty, knees weak, arms are (not) heavy. I HAD to make that reference.

Balt, I actually like the fig a little better now, the promo material made it look like a big box on legs. The missile in Gun-Eagle mode does split, with the rear portion attaching to the back port. I do see some possibilities for remolds of this figure. How about Gobots Zod? Or a Shield Heli-Carrier crossover?
My figure has the same issues you're did. The bird mode is ridiculous, but I kind of like it, although the tail feather section was so badly engineered. On the box it shows the missile pegged in on top, on the tail feather part, you know the one that falls off if you look at it funny. They could have done such a better job on that design. I was strangley looking forward to this figure too, since I did not have the original. I'd stopped collecting at the time of the powermasters when I was a kid.
Good taste with the G2 Meg. I got the special Seige version with the two battlemasters, so I wasn't about to just buy the same figure again
His wings can fold up in robot mode
how do i get that platform piece in without breaking the figure? and without causing stress marks?
* has seen masterforce * i actually kinda liked clouder in masterforce ( for context his japanese name is double clouder in master force ) he was kinda an odd twist on a what we got with punch counter punch except there punch was an autobot spy with a decepticon mode to be able to blend in dealer/clouder was well he was human and where as the each of the other power/god masters had one set of braces for one side or the other he had one brace for each and where as he initially joined the autobot god masters was for a while anyway actually working for the cons

I have a transforming figure suggestion. Please check out Bandai's DX VF-31 toy from the Macross series (the show that inspired jetfire). Its pricey due to being a Japan exclusive but it is the best transforming figure I have ever purchased. Leader class scale with amazing details, hand painted, hidden play features, zero robot kibble in vehicle mode, and one of the coolest Gundam-like robot modes ever with the vehicle mode just melting away. Also it's a triple changer. The box it self is art and includes lots of accessories like several alternate hands, knives, to scale pilot figures that fit in the figure, and several display stand options. There is currently one VF-31e (orange) available for 2 day shipping from Canada on Amazon. Its worth the price and definitely a display piece for older collectors.
you placed the missile in the wrong place in bird mode, it has a black clamp that connects to where you clipped the tail feathers to, then just clip the tail feathers to the bottom of the missile to complete the bird look.
I got mine a month ago and Im waiting to open it. I will let you know if it has QC issues
These figures have went way down in price,(got mine for $22 yesterday) and there's a ton of them for sale one guy had about 30 figures trying to sell them cheap.

@@dedalionarts6077 I dont remember this too well but I'm pretty sure they stole megatrons missle tank mode from beast wars when they made cybertron red alert. I may be wrong but im pretty sure all they did was give him a new head design and changed the colors
@@jacob7358 yea like moust RECOLORS, and how he stole it? Hazbro just reused the mold, if enother compani used this mold with out Hazbro accepting them yea, that would been stealing.
Also you think red had it bad with this, just go look for scattershot defence team mold..

@@jacob7358 couldn t be that sayed for every recolor/ remold they made? Even those from cannon like SEEKERS aka. Starscream RECOLORS or just any character that is an recolor / remold in general l like Bluestrick, Clifjumper, Smokescrean, Hoist, Grappul, Red alert and so on?
And at least in case of BS Megatron there where on cybertron before they crashed on earth, so they had to give them vechicull altmodes..

The problem is that appearantly all copys are the same,..the hip ratchets, the elbows...my figure hss it and i watched pretty much every review on DD that ist currently uploaded

You had the wings slightly miss transformed but the way u did it did fix my problem with the missile truck mode. Also you supposed to peg the missile itself in the tailfeather slot, but I figured you tired to make it as g1 as possible in retrospect I think the design team made it that way to prevent birb dick jokes. All in all its a good figured mostly brought down by loss joints and birb mode

They should have called this thing Double Loose. Joints are too loose and knees pop apart. Disappointing to say the least. Good video once again Mr. Baltmatrix.

Decepticon insignias upside down for Doubledealer's bird mode silly! Hello! G1 Starscream's insignias are upside down when he is in robot mode, and is that silly?
I think you need the Generations Selects Knok and Skar to complete his look.

the isntructions tell you to mount the missile on the top of the bird mode though..
theare is one more huge issue to mine Doubledealer.., that i almost saw the same problem in many youtube reviews, and also i think its in your figure. BUT noone talks about it. When its on his robot mode, the figures straighted up the legs, has a huge waste problem. It leans towards
to the left!!! If you check yours, i think it happens also. Mine is completelly to left, and i think its his hips the reason, or something on his waste or legs.... I have to try for a long time to make him stand correctly. This must be a factory issue. Also i think that maybe the packaginng is too tough to his body... i dont know.... Maybe you could see yours and tell me if youj have the same problem??? Maybe someone else with the same???? Thank you

I picked this up at my local walmart about a week ago, tried to transform it once and the knee joint came out of the socket, it took me about an hour to get it back in! Now I am afraid to try and transform it anymore...

Pretty easily. Cyberton Defense Red Alert was also a giant missile truck. Only real remolding it needs is the legs/front of the vehicle mode, the head and the chest.

@@doklatcake9394 More like a double agent. Working for both sides. In the anime he started out as a decepticon spy but joined the Autobots pretty soon. He continued to work as a Spy but for the Autobots this time. I Don't know much about his g1 comics appearance though so that could be different.
