10:27 the dragon eyes are holes because when you plug the headmaster in the dragon head, his arms will fill out the dragon's eye holes, giving it red eyes. That's why the headmaster's arms has those thin triangle pieces sticking out of it and you have to raise the arms up when you plug him in, those are the dragon's eyes.
hi, i believe you missed a crucial step turning him into dino mode. the black plate needs to be folded down further to lock the tail in place. it makes it a more solid dino mode and a better torso to tail contour.
Just got this . . . had the G1. I wished they had done something to cover the legs on underside. Something I think it's made not clear in the instructions . . . when shifting the torso plates down you need lift the legs in order for the top plate to peg; doesn't work if the fuselage is straight as the crouch budge is a blocker.
you do not want a version of siege apeface with normal white plastic. if they didn't use nylon some of the tabs would snap off the first time you transformed him. these tabs are under a lot of stress during transformation, too much for the typical plastic to withstand

The autobot response would be the standard Gen1 response to something big and scary "Dinobots! Attack!!" The autobots never found a Dinbot proof problem, they even, quite literally, tore Unicron a new one... :P
Another way to get krunk into the cockpit is if you go to transform the nose section lay him in sideways then slowly close the other half of the nose just in case you don’t want to ruin the translucent doors

You forgot to move the black part on the back of the dino mode back, which will then situate the cannons further back down. Although, as stated, you can get the headmaster arms to fill in the dino's eye-holes, I can't always achieve that. Instead, I push the back of the headmaster (the white bit) against the neck area (filling up the negative space) and then I can reposition the lower jaw to be slightly further back, closer to the upper jaw, which looks more natural to me (as it removes the lower jaws "overbite"). I also added two reprolabel Decepticon stickers to the wings, painted gold "eyes" on the headmaster figure and plan to add gold painted plastic bits inside the dino head to give it gold "eyes". Also, if you fold his heels to the side in dino mode, you get to tail spikes and then the tail tip can waggle from side to side a little bit.
I was really worried that Apeface and Snapdragon were not going to get proper head master figures that are compatible with the rest just because of how the original figures heads worked, but Hasbro actually did a decent job with these guys
Love Apeface. THat Ivory soap liquid dish detergent nylon plastic is wonderfully weird and totally unique. I appreciate how ugly it looks especially for a Horrorcon. Plus its infinitely stronger than regular plastic. Waiting for Snapdragon. I'm all about his bot mode.
Apeface's jet mode is like faithful to his G1 toy's jet mode which is sometimes a negative thing when you tried to replicate it fully instead of trying to improve upon it.

@baltmatrix I don't know if it's true, but there's rumor (?) floating around that Horrorcons will get re-released as box set as the part of Kingdom subline. Maybe Hasbro will see it as an opportunity to do some improvements (though with all these qc issues I highly doubt it).
If you look at the headmaster arms there were triangle bits on the front of his arm so I'm obviously guessing that those are suppose to be his eyes for the dinosaur mode
I have a transforming figure suggestion. Please check out Bandai's DX VF-31 toy from the Macross series (the show that inspired jetfire). Its pricey due to being a Japan exclusive but it is the best transforming figure I have ever purchased. Leader class scale with amazing details, hand painted, hidden play features, zero robot kibble in vehicle mode, and one of the coolest Gundam-like robot modes ever with the vehicle mode just melting away. Also it's a triple changer. The box it self is art and includes lots of accessories like several alternate hands, knives, to scale pilot figures that fit in the figure, and several display stand options. There is currently one VF-31e (orange) available for 2 day shipping from Canada on Amazon. Its worth the price and definitely a display piece for older collectors.
Two things you missed pushing the back down in dino mode but it looks the way you have it. The other thing is I think you put the head in wrong. The mouth opens by pressing back on it and you get snap back action and getting a nice snapping sound. You opened the mouth by moving the head masters legs by its joints. That is the wrong way to open his mouth and looks weird. Or maybe not wrong if that is how you want to do it but it looked like you didn't know how to do it correctly since you didn't say anything about the snapping feature.
Yeah just got both my apeface and zetar from amazon today and I have to say its sad when a almost forgotten powerdasher is more enjoyable toy than a character thats has actually been on a tv show , I mean Zetar is literally in my top five favorite figures of this trilogy among the figures I own from this line , apeface on the other hand is definitely on the bottom of the list .
After seeing how bad Apecace was I was worried that Snapdragon would suffer clad to see that isn’t the case as I’ve always liked Snapdragon but not Apeface but no matter how bad the brick with wings is you’ve got to admit it is better than Broadsides doing leg exercises on his back with a nose cone on his head lol
I've seen this one selling cheap online and double dealer.About 15-25 for snapdragon and 25-35 for double dealer,I bought double dealer for $32 shipping and tax included even though I've seen he's not the best leader figure.I might get snapdragon if I find him 20-25 total even though I've also seen he's not the best Voyager by far.
I think I need to hunt for a second copy of my figure. An arm of the head FEELS terribly off, like the ball is twisting more than turning in the socket, and I suspect that at some point will twist off entirely.
the ONLY issue i have with snapdragon is that his arms dont have as much articulation as id wished. his arms suffer somewhat id love to get him holding both guns, one straight out, one arm curled in and gun pointing to the air, but they dont bend enough for that. thats my only issue, is his arm articulation
I feel like we are expecting perfection from Hasbro, and I am pretty sure that if Hasbro went for perfection, Transformers would become dead due to a lack of a toyline

Try using a back to front sliding motion on the head master when going to dragon mode. Much easier.

I can not help myself that the jetform reminds me of the Jet from X-men.
I was actually about to mention that if you paint the jet mode in a dark blue grey it would be the X-Men jet.
