It’s all about the dust! Omg it’s insane! Glad you could get a feeling for it. Next video the dust in my camping chair will turn to mud from the sweat on my body…
I brought an insulated tent ($360), a TWO-HOSE portable A/C - 2 hoses keep your tent pressurized and don't draw in outside dust ($468), a 3700-watt ECOFLOW solar battery ($1900), and a rigid, commercial 425-watt solar panel ($140). The reason you suffered is because your tent sucked. You can't leave a door open on your tent for an hour, much less 2 days. My tent was cool and relatively dust-free, and I enjoyed it. The key is to remove your shoes/boots outside the tent, then shake your clothing vigorously before going inside. For the price of a hotel for 8 days, I now have gear that I can take anywhere. The ECOFLOW battery was a lifesaver after I lost power at home after a nearby fire for 2 days.
Yeah, you are right! My tent was not cut out for burning man. Even if the doors are zip, shut, the tent has huge screen sections all around it. And the shift pod I used was great, except its zippered doors did not work at all, so I literally had dust storms blowing in through the door. It was all great and I was not complaining about it. I was just living in the moment and enjoying the harshness of it all, I dig it! I like your idea of pressurizing the inside. Pretty amazing. 🌲🌵
Don't know why it would turn anyone off, I went in 2006(only 300.00 back then)with some friends and had the time of my life, people are fantastic, the theme, art, music and shenanigans...right on GO.
Ever try a dark tent? You don't wake up at dawn and although it seems counterintuitive they keep cool. Travel with a boat then put up a tent. Go fishing a lot, helps feed us too.❤ Have a good trip.
The shiftpod is the best but even that has got to be under a separate shade structure. Any thin tent will absolutely cook you inside unless it is under separate shade. I used to build yurts out of one inch thick rmax insulation.
If you are going to Burning Man unprepared in 2024, that is on you. There are 1001 lists/videos/articles by veterans that give you tips on what to bring, how to prepare and what to prepare for.
Haha! Absolutely anything you take there will be covered in dust and then it requires a specific cleaning process when you get home or else everything metal will rust and the dust will be there forever until cleaned. It’s insane! 🌲🌵
Super Cool. Have a handful of college buddies in their 40s now who did burning man several years back. My uncle who lives in Oracle AZ now is one of the organizers. SO… QUESTION!! Whats the Make/Model of the tent??? Be safe!
Yes. I arrived a week early because I volunteered to help set up the camp and got early entry pass. And by the way, the best acid at burning man is actually vinegar…🌲🌵
@@GotOut pick me up a sheet of paper and drop it by on your way home. you should have a full hazmat suit and a full face mask with dust carts. gear up man, it's the challenge.
The dogs are probably glad they are not with you, I don't think they would enjoy it. Still looking forward to the hijinks, but at this point, doesn't look like we are missing too much. The wind is really killing it. Hope you have a few more videos where things get a little more fun.
Honestly though, part of the fun of it really is the harsh weather conditions. I’ve been in blizzard conditions before in a tiny tent several times and it can be very scary, but it’s also very memorable and I loved it. You are right, the dogs would hate it. Animals aren’t allowed at burning man anyways which is a really good thing. 🌲🌵🐕🦺🐕
Yes last year. Got some rain this year as well and people were getting worried, but it wasn’t enough to cause a long term problem. People stayed inside until it was dry outside otherwise your shoes get caked with mud. 🌵🌲
I have camped in the desert many times and wouldn’t go to Burning man if it was free. Way too many people in the desert. Breathing in all that dust can’t be healthy.
Yeah it is about 60,000 people within a few square miles!! Very different than what I am used to. Usually my dogs and I have a few square miles to ourselves! 🌵🌲
Yeehaw, that's almost as dirty/dusty as working potato harvest for six weeks. (Did that for 14 years in a row). LOL! I hope you brought some N95 masks with you...
Nobody cares about burning man, Nobody cares about products that are shilled by people without a pot to piss in. Gave you the benefit of the doubt but now, I must say sayonara.
Ha yeah windburned is right! I did not get sunburned though! And I only wore sunscreen one day. The dust kinda helps for sun protection but the key is to always stay in shade! 🌲🌵
Yeah thanks. That’s what I was thinking was plenty of people would have videos showing all of the crazy lights and music and sculptures and art cars and people, but no one ever really shows what your life will actually be like inside your shelter and in your camp. 🌵🌲
Haha! Thanks for noticing. I really appreciate that you like longer videos. I try to experiment from time to time to see what types of videos and what length of videos people enjoy the most. I do prefer creating the longer videos myself as well.🌲🌵
I like your videos at any length, as I believe you are busy working and enjoying your event. Filming and editing may be more difficult at this time. Film when you can and thank you for sharing! Have fun! 🤗♌️
Another burner let me borrow it and it was very cool. The shift pod is an amazing structure to live in out there. And also incredibly easy to set up. This was an older model but still the only damage on it was the two zippers. Which are actually quite important ha ha. The zipper didn’t work at all, and I wish I would have got some footage of me trying to squeeze through the other zipper door, because it was seriously broken and I really had to squeeze in and out of it on my hands and knees. 🌵🌲
@@GotOut I love it ,I am going to set one up in my backyard and make a love hut out of it or I could rent it out here in the Bay Area for a couple grand a month, just put in a bathroom and a permanent door. they are renting out rooms in this area for 2,000. a month, that thing would be like living a penthouse .i lived in sandbag huts while in the marines and we had them fixed up very very nice, I could live in one and be happy for sure. thanks for sharing man.👍

It actually gets for me…
I'm a firm believer if it sucks where you're at, go to a new place that sucks less.
Great philosophy for life. I heartily approve ❤❤❤
In this case, somehow the misery is actually worth it for the overall experience…
Very interesting video. I’ve never understood the burning man thing…too hot and dusty for me.
Yeah the dust is kind of insane! 🌲🌵
Hope you are having fun. Sounds like a crazy place. 😊
Great adventurer!🎉
I'm thinking! Nope! That dust would be a no go for myself 😮
At least it does look cool. And if you can’t get used to the dust you will probably leave early! 🌵🌲
Brutal! Great test of your equipment and adaptability. Keep on adventuring!
Thanks Ben! It really can be brutal! Somehow it’s all worth it for the adventure and memories… 🌵🌲
Well hello hope you're having fun ha ha I can see the dust amazing video

Thats it , Im officially jealous. Ha ha. Have fun and be safe. May the good Lord watch over you and your family and friends. Peace and Love 😊.
Well I wonder if you saw all the dust and sweat and nastiness? I only took one (2gallon) shower in two weeks!!! Still jealous? 🌵🌲
@@GotOut Thats what the ha ha was for. You will soon be back to normal. God bless.
Sure do miss you and the dogs. Get back to a happier place

It always looked like a dystopian nightmare. 😝
Yeah you are right. Basically mad max in real Life! 🌲🌵

Very true. Luckily I have been before so I was very prepared. 🌲🌵
It’s going to be interesting watching your series, but that dust would have caused me to bail.

It’s called a shiftpod. It’s not sold on Amazon you have to go to their website. I would definitely recommend the shelter, but it is not cheap! 🌲🌵
@@GotOutthanks!!
This is all somewhat interesting and to be expected. So you showed up a week early? Did you find any acid? How is it?
Yes. I arrived a week early because I volunteered to help set up the camp and got early entry pass. And by the way, the best acid at burning man is actually vinegar…🌲🌵

The Burning man😮 isn't this the area where people were stuck for days because it rained?

I love the beach…but hate the sticky sand…don’t care how many product reviews you do for enduring burning man…I say … No way Hosea!
I hate sand too it’s coarse and it gets everywhere!
Are you on the moon? Interesting. I plan to make it to burning man someday.
Yeah it feels
Like the moon for sure. 🌵🌲
I hear the real hippies sneak in and get it for free
Yeehaw, that's almost as dirty/dusty as working potato harvest for six weeks. (Did that for 14 years in a row). LOL! I hope you brought some N95 masks with you...
I actually did not wear a face covering at all! Except goggles. I did bring several types of masks but they are annoying. 🌲🌵
Old stoner event.

Bro we need the dogs I don't see what the point of the burning man bs is but ok. Hurry up and get back to regular programming.
tyman, thanks for your comment and your thoughts. I have to say you actually gave me a good laugh. 🌵🌲
