KitchenAid dishwasher has Power but will not start troubleshooting repair

Last night my dishwasher did not start. I did some basic troubleshooting and was able to find the problem pretty quickly. My start switch got corroded and a little Deoxit solved the problem. Dishwashers are very basic and only a few thing go wrong on the electrical side.

I had a Kitchen aid dishwasher with the same issue. This video really helped. Saved me a lot of money by avoiding a service call. I just sprayed some solution from a can. Worked immediately!

Hey thanks for posting this video! My dishwasher had the same issue. I was able to pry the plastic membrane open abit more and spray some contact cleaner in and it was working again in no time. Genius genius genius

Yep, my start button had the same problem, spray some electrical cleaner and voila, it works again!

My kidchenaid dishwasher #The only button that functions is the cancel button when pushed it will drain out the water I put in then stop but will not restart any suggestions? Also how to put this model in diagnostic mode? thanks

In the video he contemplated swapping one of the switches from another button he never uses, like the 4 hour display. However, I presume that would require decent soldering skills.
