I bought a whirlpool from Lowe’s 8 weeks ago. One day it had no power. I called whirlpool because it’s still under warranty. A guy came out and said it was an electrical issue in the house.
We were ready to scrap out dishwasher and then I took your directions and slammed the fuse off of our concrete step and we are now running some dishes in the dishwasher. Thanks a million

I had the uncommon problem the latch has two arcade button switches and one was sticking in so I worked it loose and is fixed until I get a new one, im sure it will stick again eventually.
All I did was open it to put a knife in it…I used tofu all my stuff. But now I haveALS and can’t go taking it apart.the breaker box is ok.any ideas?..

I thought I was going to be without a dishwasher until I could order the fuse, and then I happened to see your vid. I must admit, I had no confidence that slamming the fuse on the floor was going to do anything but give me a little discharge, but dang, it worked like a charm! Thanks so much!
Nice trick about resetting the fuse. Are you sure it's actually still a fuse and not just a completed circuit? If it's permanently connected then that could be a fire hazard.
This is the first time I've worked on a major appliance, but I figured it's broken so why not try? I've never even used a multimeter and had to go buy one and then watch another video to learn how to use it for continuity testing. I already had some Torx screwdrivers and your instructions and camera work were perfect! My dishwasher is not a Whirlpool, but it's nearly the same and so I didn't have to remove the black cover over the fuse section. I did have to bang the fuse on my garage floor and, wow, like magic, continuity! I'm running a load of dishes right now and my spouse is very impressed - as are my girlfriends who are scared to try things like this. A big THANKS to guys like you who help us women (and men) learn new skills here on RUclips! Thanks also for saving my household money and possibly months of waiting for a new dishwasher with how everything is being delayed due to the cargo ships.

Instead of hitting the fuse with a hammer, I hit the dishwasher with a sledgehammer, repeatedly. I feel much better.

Great video.... Changed the fuse and it worked perfectly the first time, then it blew again the next time we used it... guess I have other issues that are causing it to blow .. ugh. Thanks for the video. Your instructions were very easy to follow and explained very well.
