Absolute insane quantities of work went into this, for like 17 people to actually see it ingame. It's fantastic, don't get me wrong, I just wish we could replay this scene ingame as much as we want to see and hear it with our own eyes, not on youtube like the whole Thargoid thing has been for 8 years. No combat. Just sit there and watch. Like in VR, for instance.
I tried to get to an acceptable level of actually being able to participate, I truly did. After 20 hours of mining, grinding and trying I just gave up. I don't need another job after finish regular work day. Plus the risk of Frontier shutting down servers whenever they want, throwing all effort into the bin? No thank you. I went into a war zone with my python once and got smoked. Really, you can enjoy like 20% of the game without engineering and mining grind but everything else requie a ton of grind and decent ship
I love how sometimes I return to games at the most opportune moment - and Elite is no exception now. I returned to it after stopping playing at the time of the release of Odyssey, about a couple of days before the creation of nanite torpedoes and the deployment of a full-scale operation to destroy the Thargoid titans. I have a feeling that after we throw them away, the elite will move to a whole new level, this will be a new milestone in gameplay. And yes, regarding the video, the visuals are good, the sound, as always... there are no words.

In elite dangerous, sounds in space are generated by the ship inside the cockpit, interpreting the environment for the pilot's convenience. If the enemy destroys the cockpit, the sounds disappear.
The ship's computer converts the signals around the ship to audio for us to hear. Humans as a species are heavily dependent on sound to properly function and coordinate. Humanity has been able to convert electromagnetic spectrum signals to audio since the telegraph in the 1840s, then radio signals to audio in the late 1800s and we discovered interference from space that radios and televisions converted to audio and video from that time to the early 1990s. Modern technology converts EM signals to both audio and visual, for us to hear and see, both for science and entertainment.😁 I guess it is pathetic that you don't know that.😂😂😂😂

@@rokkrElite dangerous turns ten years old this year. It's hard to say whether it's a good moment or not. The game is technically outdated in some parts. Yeah, my guess is that technically, the game designers had it turn into an electromagnetic singularity first, hence the EMP first that accelerated all ships out of the caustic nebula (and preventing you from being rewarded with the rebuy screen 😆). What happened afterwards...no clue, but it was beautiful.
Sound Engineers nee to stop using sound textures that sound like burping rocks tumbling in slow motion. It's over used, unrealistic and boring as fuck.
