More excellent MT guide content. For me personally I didn't need this guide but I agree it is an excellence introduction to the initial configuration for someone's first wifi network and demystifies ROS, which isn't that scary once you get your head around it, but can be overwhelming for people who's only previous experience has been with consumer grade equipment
Could you fix "qcom-ac" package on hAP ac2/ac3? It's only possible to achieve 200-220 Mbps/s for upload from the client to router, something makes "cpu3" to reach 100% overload. There are no issues with download speeds at all (~600 Mbps/s).
I have a question. Is it for me better to have different wi:fi names for different bands? Have you done the testing? Or do I just go with same name of Wi:Fi and let your router vs my phone decide.
Use same name and enable "FT" and "FT over DS". Clients would use 5Ghz when you're close and automatically roam to 2.4Ghz while far away. That's much more convenient that having two networks and manually choosing them. It works like magic, apps don't drop active connections when switching 2.4Ghz/5Ghz.
What if your 5Ghz wifi keeps on first disconnecting and then disappearing after basic configuration? Also When using things like Teams, it stops working quit quickly and comes back after a while until you use it for things like Teams again after about 10 minutes. I can't find a configuration fault and it's not my first Mikrotik router but three first that does this.
It's certainly great that we have a quick set for regular nongeek users, but I recently had an bad experience with the hap ax lite. 1) the guest network is just a useless option and fake oportunity! wlan1/wlan2/wlan3 all go into one bridge, without VLAN tagging and with full access to ARP tables. The DHCP pool is the same, and there'snt a lack of specific addressing and rules in the firewall - meaning the guest network creates a false sense of security for the user, which doesn't actually exist. There are also no bandwidth limits via simple queue, which is understandable given the previous issues and the lack of separation. 2) with the recommended default settings (quickset and manual identical to the one in the video), an iPad with iOS 10.x cannot connect to the main wlan1 (WPA2, WPA3); if i'd disable WPA3, it connects but complains about the low secure TKIP password... However, if you create a 'guest' network with WPA2 and WPA3 (and the main network also have WPA2, WPA3), it connects without any problems. P.S. I have updated the board's firmware and performed a reset a couple of times."
Mikrotik could add option in quick set to choose wan interface. And why the eth1 port is 2.5Gb/s and it is used as wan in quick set? :) Anyway love my new ax3 !!!
Mikotik firewall need different blocking style in firewall like tld blocking, subdomain block, domain block, wild card blocking, easy keyword blocking with any character blocking and block ip address which does not have domain and these all blocking needed in your firewall
QuickSet still req pressing 2x APPLY button to not brick unit and not use a netinstall ?? The Wifi and QuickSet are the wore, most hatefull features in MikroTik devices. Please not create a next wifi-cp3-wireless-fp3 packages every year !.
in the next video please spend little more time to explain the capsman with fast transition, maybe pay more attention about thr ap AX or AC and VLAN, bexause then provisioning section don’t work properly
I think this equipment is not suitable for home users. It is difficult to set up for users, and the main drawback is the quality of the wifi signal. It is terrible. I use cAP ac/ax, hap AC3/AX3, most likely it will be the last one.
While you could configure a MikroTik router with QuickSet, if you want to use QuickSet and never touch your router settings ever again, you should probably do yourself and the world a favor and buy any generic router instead. QuickSet will make the router do dumb things you can only fix by using normal configuration menus, and using an ax^3 for dumb home WiFi is like using a microscope to hammer nails. Not that it wouldn't work. But it's a tremendous waste of resources.
in the next video please spend more time or pre confogutr thr eifi chsnnel because mody of the timr thr routrt anwer you with errot messsge like this channel is not supported, for the future RouterOS take in consideration to semplify this mandatory steps

love mikrotik .. have been using it from 2013 ... its just awsome ... the katana of routers
RB5009 upgrade with Wifi 6/7 please! 🙏 Oh, and an all-port 2.5Gps upgrade too!
Really wait this
I really love MikroTik devices. Please upload a video to simple setup a Mesh Network for Home.

So every band will have a diffrent SSID ?
What is that white box over your right shoulder? It looks like it has a DIN mounting 🙂

Rule #1: You do not talk about Fight Club.
Rule #2: You DO NOT talk about Fight Club!

Still no native Winbox for Mac OS 😢
what happened to native winbox for linux?
tkx you for this video. good for our customer
Do you have routers made in EU, Taiwan? Not in china.

Waiting for further development and updates of the wifi packages guys… the performance is OK but not great… especially the new capsman…

Like address list we need Port list ,domain list, sub domain list, wild card list and keyword
needed

I suggest you to post in our forum, or write to support. Signal should be very good on those devices. If it is not, maybe there is a config issue.
@@mikrotik
I had this problem too and wifiwave2 solve some of wifi issues but not completely at all
