It's just ridiculous that the Chateau (original version) only has 16MB storage space and I just cannot add another packages like the ROSE because of the insufficient storage.
Ive mounted SMB share for testing media server inside mikrotik, but when i try to stop or remove mouted share i get error (6) device still in use . Meda server already switched off and removed , but still cant remove share from files. Any suggestions?
Hey guys huge long time fan more than 5000 mikrotik product deployed. we need a simple UI for clients to control like create, delete users, check user activities ... stuff like that. ( user friendly UI) we use third party UI but security risks. love ya all
Would love to see more focus on the enterprise side. Not sure anybody cares about samba? I mean if you have a router like this you probably already have a Samba server. Having a client is nice. Centralized management solution soon maybe?
RouterOS already implements TR-069 for centralized management, you also have API and read/write SNMP so everything you would need to do that.

That "RouterOS Enterprise" label is confusing. Does it mean that we will have multiple editions of ROS like community\paid tiers?
No, it is just the name of the extra package that can be installed free of charge.

can it be configured to use it as system storage with devices that has low flash storage?
No, system storage is reserved to the built in flash.

No, that won't work.

Nothing wrong with winbox using wine. Works perfectly, using only Linux to admin our and my MikroTik's. Containers on ROS are very useful though.
