That protruding striker is the reason I'm comfortable carrying this AIWB. Put your thumb over the striker on your reholster and you have a tactile indication of any trigger pull, plus a little added resistance to the trigger pull.
If you actually hold your thumb over it hard, it is impossible for the trigger to go off
@@Catgat37 tried it at the range actually, it's not impossible, but it's difficult. Don't trust it infinitely though. Still gotta be careful.
@@GuardianComplex oh for sure. Draw fast, reholster slow. It is a nice safety feature though.
My LE came with the 8 round mag and glow in the dark sights-- plus, imho, way better ergos than the Shield! Totally worth it! 🖒😎
I’m glad I picked this up for cheap, it just feels so good in the hand and shoots better than a Glock 43 for me. The 7 round Mags are so comfortable.
what is a good price for it now
I picked this up a few years ago. Absolutely love it. Sold my Shield and LC9s. Amazing gun. My first Walther, won’t be my last
This is my current EDC for about a year now. Before that I carried a G36. Love this Walther more.
My EDC. 100% Reliable! Very Comfortable Carry. I Own This, Walther Creed and Q5 Match.
This was my first pistol purchase last year, and oh man no regrets I absolutely love it!
Just bought one of these. Thanks for the tip when putting it back together!
After getting a Q4 SF, I want Walther to offer all of their handguns with a steel frame. PPS, PDP....etc. Nobody asked for a steel frame version of the PPQ, but it was an incredible decision on Walthers part.
I own the LE edition. These are great little guns.
I actually got this on my birthday (6/12), the same day you uploaded this video 🤘🏽😂 haven’t had time to go shoot it yet but glad a stumbled on your channel! Good content brotha 💪🏽
I just bought this pistol today and I’m a 1st time gun owner. Out of all other videos, Your video was very detailed and useful. thank you for that!
Well said , nice choice First Time gun owner 👍
My first concealed carry. Since 2016 until now 2020 carl walther police pistol slim M2 L.E law enforcement edition. I love it with vedder light tuck IWB. Carbon fiber holster follow by critical depense flextip/hollow point. its amazing single stack, german craftsmanship you cant go wrong with walther baby quality and accuracy.
This is also my edc. I dont recall having an issue with the slide going back on. I will have to check that out next time I have it apart.
I love my pps m2. I was contemplating purchasing this or the m&p. I shot them both and was immediately sold on the Walther.
Wow a familiar face! I'm Twilas grandson. My wife Alyssa was actually looking at this gun.
Great videos Allen!
Thank you, really informative, I just bought it, can not find ammo, never fired.
Excellent review sir, very professional and articulate. I especially like how you did not use the quintessential terms like real estate, purchase or press check.
Great job as usual!
Mine does not require the trigger to be forward for reassembly. I also put the truglo tfx pro sights on and love them.
Love your videos. Good stuff, I like that Walther firearm.
Awesome single stack, luv it.It's my current Conceal carry right now...
Hi. Have u concealed it with the 7 or 8 mag? If so how does it conceal with them?
My EDC. Great gun
I own the LE MODEL.
A great EDC!
I own one of these. Excellent firearm, but a tad bigger than I like for only 6 Round magazine.
The quality, as Alan pointed out, is excellent. I own several single stack striker fire 9 mm guns
S&W Shield, Kahr CW9, Bersa BP9, Kahr PM9, and SigP365. Only the Kahr PM9 comes with a six round magazine. It is considerably smaller than the Walther. Having said all this, I will never sell the Walther. To good a shooter.
Still the best. It will remain my EDC. Especially since it is at 0900. My Smith & Wesson Shield 45 is at 0300. Nothing is getting past that. When in bear country, I carry a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 instead of the .45acp.
Btw, always have a large fixed blade knife on you in bear, moose, deer, cougar country.
Interesting...it doesn't have a fixed barrel like the CCP M2. Thanks for the informative video! I love Walther firearms...great guns!
Nice video, thank you
I have one i sent it in for the recall and it came back with a gritty horrible 9.5 lb trigger. After 75 rounds the trigger safety stopped working . If you put any pressure on it at all and released it the safety would not re-engage. I sent it back to Walthers and got it back in less than a week. I went out and put 50 rounds through it and it was fine. I took it out again and put another 30 rounds through it. I started checking the trigger and the trigger safety was not re-engageing again. I sent it back last Wednesday. They received it Friday and they shipped it out yesterday. I should receive it tomorrow. Hopefully they finally fixed it. I have to admit I'm not impressed with their service department.
I have the first version in 40 caliber
Honestly it was a very accurate pistol. Problem I had that it was darn near as heavy as my H&K and way too thin. To the point where it would slide in my hand. Nice but traded for P30sk with 10 rounds.
The reassembly part is weird because PPS m2 slide will go back on with the trigger back or forward!
This was a good general review. I don't know why but I was hoping for a good feild review. You good ol mud, blood, and grits kinda review. Side note the blood part was a joke, but I'm sure you know what I mean.
Great video. Thank you. I have one. The 6 round mag is just awful. Grip just a bit to thin. IT DOESN'T TAKE +P. ( Is there a reason maybe ?), (The volume on your videos are just to low. please adjust).
Thanks brotha
I bought my mom one and she loves it I’m actually about to buy myself one after shooting hers lol 💯🇺🇸💪🏻
I've had one for years. Didn't shoot it for a long time. Ran 80rds through it worked perfectly. Even the mags that had been loaded up all that time. Really impressed with that.
I have this gun....no trigger manipulation is necessary for reassembly and it is not mentioned in the manual of arms. In addition, they do NOT recommend trigger manipulation for disassembly.
The magazine release is not reversible! The magazines are cut on both sides, and you could theoretically reverse it, but its not symmetrical and can't flip over. I have actually looked into it: the "walther" mags it comes with are actually made in Italy (I'm guessing a subcontract by metcar), so they may have just put the cut assuming you could, but you can't. I even called walther and asked if they had one I could order: they don't. As a southpaw this has been my biggest gripe with this, though it is still my edc, I've learned to work around it, as many lefthanded shooters have. I have looked for a third party after market release and can't find one, it would be pretty easy to make though, you would just have to make a mirror image version. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF SOMEONE MAKING ONE, PLEASE POST HERE OR MESSAGE ME!!!
This is the first gun I ever bought, and I have yet to meet anyone else that has mentioned they have one too 😅 seems to be all glocks here in ohio
Is it true that the PPS M2 9mm shoots a little softer than the Shield 9mm? Thanks!
Yes it does because it’s slightly heavier. You can especially tell the difference when shooting real carry loads in them.
Yes it does. Owned the 365, G43 and Shield both original and 2.0 and I still enjoy the Walther PPS M2 the best. Very manageable almost feels like an actual compact
Weird. I have one and with the trigger back the slide goes on fine
When I reassembly mine, I don't have to do anything. It just slides on.
same for mine
If it doesn't theres a problem
I see PPS for a good price in a few stores
These things are really slept on. Walther does a poor job of promoting their products in the US.
Totally agree. My wife bought a pps yesterday shot it today. I never contemplated buying one. I regret that now.
It's not $349 anymore. It is over $600 now.
You need to turn up the volume on your videos!!
Nice firearm.
I Shoot my PPS-M2 Better than my Shield !!
I Carry the PPS-M2 LE (8+1) in a N82 Professional IWB Holster !!
The LE Version Has Phosphorus Sights !!
So what? My PSS m2 has 7-8rd and 8-9rd conversion mags and trijicon HD nights with prominent ledge on the rear sight for one handed manipulation.
Tennifer, not melonite.
Am-bee-dex-truss
I have this and Im not a fan of it. Lots of jams and fails to feed. Ive read alot of reviews saying similar things.
