A couple years ago, our school received a school shooting threat/rumor. I didn’t know what to do, I never experienced anything like it before. I was in band class when we received the news. We were all forced to barricade EVERY entrance possible. We went to the room where there were no windows, and plenty of things to barricade the door with. Turns out the rumor was true, there were three shooters. I am a Junior, the rest of my bandmates are just freshmen and sophomores. We (me and my band director) pulled the fire alarm and called 911, I explained the situation and couldn’t stop shaking and shivering in fear. After ten minutes, we heard the police. I cannot describe to you the sigh of relief everyone just had.
And people still question why I want to be in the law enforcement.

There were resource officers while Sandy Hook elementary didn't have any, that's why he went there since no one could stop him early sadly. I also remember my teacher saying the new gun laws that were implemented because of this incident didn't help since Lanza got his guns from his mother, so the laws were like to calm the people down. Also another fact I learned, Lanza tried to buy a gun and there was a form to fill out before getting a gun (it talked about if your mentally ill, etc). He answered YES to all of it. This is what I learned from one of my teachers, so idk if it's right or not but makes sense in my mind.

The real problem is that in most cases, we put these people in normal prisons, rather than mental institutions. Rather than addressing these people's psychological problems, we put them in an environment that isn't conducive to rehabilitation and that, if anything, will cause them to become even more messed up than they already are. Also, some school shooters became school shooters because they were bullied so horribly that it had a tremendous affect on their psyches. For example, Eric Harris & Dylan Klebold, the perpetrators of the Columbine High School Massacre.
It particularly disgusts me how Nikolas Cruz was put in a normal prison, despite the fact that *he has autism* (which I have)! I can't fathom how he has survived in that environment! Putting an autist in a normal prison is like throwing someone who's paralyzed from the neck down into a swimming pool! It's bad enough that his stepparents and the system failed him for so many years when it came to his mental health issues! Now, not only is the system failing a mentally ill person, but they are also failing an autistic person! Especially given the fact that he's an autist, he should be in a mental institution, not a normal prison!
Also, it's insane how 2 of the school shooters talked about in this vid(Nikolas Cruz and Adam Lanza) were both mentally ill and autistic, and how their needs were not met by their legal guardians or the system!

for adam lanza, i think this quote will help explain a little.
“You're the one who wants to rape children, I'm the one who wants to save them from a life of suffering you want to impose on them. You see them as your property and I want to free them. I don't want to see children as adults, I dont want to see anyone as adults because I don’t want there to be a system that perpetuates this abuse. If you care so much about the damage of children then why advocate that they live?”
.... he hated society and its "indoctrination". He really thought he was saving children, maybe.

back in 2019, somebody reported shots fired in the school to the police, and i live in california so the schools are outside. me and my old friend Josh ran into a building, and ran through to the other side and exited out the back. i remember just being horrified because the building was a directly straight hallway and i thought that if the shooter came in from behind us or in front of us we were dead. we got out the back and we turned toward the fence of the school, we began to run toward the fence but a staff member grabbed me by my arm and pulled me into a storage closet with 4 other people. it was the scariest moment of my life and all i remember doing is pulling my phone out and texting my mom: "i think theres a shooter at school" "im scared" "i love you"
it turned out to be a false alarm.

Personally, i don’t live in the states. Ive heard that school shootings in america are a big problem. I feel like their government isnt doing enough to control bullying, gun violence and the mental state of the students and everyone in the school. One mistake from their classmates could end anything and make headlines. The states should put their massive budget in military to schools. Its the future of the world, i dont understand why the goverment still does not make gun control even more enforced. Their parents should also prevent children from knowing that they have weapons and illegal weapon dealers should definitely be jailed. Rest in peace to everyone who died in school shootings. 🕊️

If someone wants a gun, they're going to get their hands on one. I know somebody that has PTSD and some other things and they're not legally allowed to purchase a gun, but the dumbest shit is, someone bought them a handgun AND shotgun and they're allowed to legally own it without a permit/background check (since it was purchased for them from someone that legally bought them.) and they can and do carry it around in public, thinking they're a badass. That disgusts and frightens me to no end.

As far as i know, nothing has happened, but im really scared. stuff like this could happen at ANYTIME. our district has been taking some big safety precautions. anyway, i just wanted to let that out. i hope nothing happens and we can stop worrying.

@@puffdutchtwo yup. A common trend i see with them is that they feel they are nothing in life(nihilists). Most of the shooters are reclusive, neurodivergent or virgins and they are ostracized for being unusual. Not explicitly bullied even. They commit these crimes to leave a mark on the world because they fear the admittedly bleak prospects of adulthood. We see it with Adam killing his mother when she wanted to move him out. We see it in Elliot Rodger who lamented his adult virginity and his insecurities of how pathetic he felt compared to thers his age. We see is with Randy Stair seeing the act he committed as becoming relevant instead of working his dead end wage job and mediocre youtube channel. We see it with the Columbine killers and their animosity for not being the popular kids and feeling weak in a school that almost darwinistically only recognized it's athletes. This is what a society gets when it neglects teaching young people, ESPECIALLY men how to harness the inner shadow.
