UPDATE: as of this year kento bento has mostly recovered from his health issues, however his wife had a child and they are currently sorting that out. Edit-Yes the child is his and what i meant by sorting it out is that taking care of a child especially an infant takes presecedence

July 26th, 2024 update: For the people that didn’t get the post Kento sent out, he basically addressed that he has had lung cancer for a while now and adding that with taking care of his new born baby, Sofia, it’s been a lot for both him and his wife. He also mentioned that he will be having a surgery and the months following that, he will be going through recovery and therapy. He hopes to return soon but it’s extremely unpredictable as of right now.

Just to clear all of the misunderstading saying “rip” etc… If you read the Patreon, the last post(which is public), says that Kento is battling lung cancer and has undergone invasive surgery. The last update on patreon was 1 July, and for now there aren’t any news about his health or if he’ll return. The only thing we can do is to hope for his recover, and maybe one day he’ll come back.

It was only when I emptied my pockets for security that I was horrified to find I still had my box-cutter. I apologized and asked security to take it, keep it, throw it away, whatever; I only had it by accident. They also seemed embarrassed by the situation and INSISTED I CARRY IT ON BOARD THE PLANE. A little less than five years later, box cutters would be used to carry out the 9/11 attacks. So no, I am not so surprised at how lax security was in 1970. It was almost that bad in 1997.

In my religion (Sikhism) we arrange a special pray which we call Ardaas, where we invite whole town in our Holy Temple (Gurudwara) to pray together for someone's well-being. I would love to do this for Kento and I'll bear all the costs. My whole friend group love his work and he also inspired us to do something similar in my language(Punjabi). For real, I was blown away that they threw together this plan so quickly. I wonder how much time the plane spent on the ground at Fukuoka before they handed over the map, the first step of the whole ruse.
Actually, there's one thing they didn't do... and that was what led the hijackers believe they were in Seoul. There were no pictures of Kim Il-Sung anywhere. The South Koreans then managed to get one, but they spotted a US airplane on the tarmac, so the ruse ultimately failed and their work was for nothing.

July 26th, 2024 update: For the people that didn’t get the post Kento sent out, he basically addressed that he has had lung cancer for a while now and adding that with taking care of his new born baby, Sofia, it’s been a lot for both him and his wife. He also mentioned that he will be having a surgery and the months following that, he will be going through recovery and therapy. He hopes to return soon but it’s extremely unpredictable as of right now.

If you read the Patreon, the last post(which is public), says that Kento is battling lung cancer and has undergone invasive surgery.
The last update on patreon was 1 July, and for now there aren’t any news about his health or if he’ll return.
The only thing we can do is to hope for his recover, and maybe one day he’ll come back.

A little less than five years later, box cutters would be used to carry out the 9/11 attacks.

Actually, there's one thing they didn't do... and that was what led the hijackers believe they were in Seoul. There were no pictures of Kim Il-Sung anywhere. The South Koreans then managed to get one, but they spotted a US airplane on the tarmac, so the ruse ultimately failed and their work was for nothing.

@@jianperey2090 It said it was just a communist uniform, but they were in war for a decent time before this, so I wouldn't doubt that they had the uniforms for an attempted spy mission or from the dead bodies. And it wasn't an entire part of Seul it was just the airport it wouldn't be all too difficult to shoo away people not apart of the plan and to dress the airport up

@@blessembreaks South Korea back then was just as much of a dictatorship as the North (there's a reason why current South Korea is called the Sixth Republic) and it's government relied too much on USA. If it wasn't for the USA holding their South Korean balls in a tight grip, they wouldn't have done anything to help Japan.
