SNAP CAP EVERY NIGHT FROM CONCEALMENT. EVEN IF JUST 5MIN. YOU WILL BECOME SO FAST ON TARGET AND BETTER WITH PULLING TRIGGER WITHOUT JERKING GUN. PRACTICING EVERYDAY WITH SNAP CAPS WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE ESPECIALLY FOR PPL NEW TO RED DOTS. YOU GOTTA PUT THE TIME IN
I recently switched to a RDS (Delta Point Pro, like the one you're using). This was definitely something I needed to realize and get used to. This pistol isn't moving any more than it did with irons, it just looks that way. A lot like the effect of using a laser sight.
I just recently shot a red dot sighted pistol for the first time and didn't like movement of the dot on the target, as it was somewhat unnerving. Your video was very helpful and I thank you.
It is a matter of time to get used to the dot wobble. You need simply to accept it, it will never be absolutely still. Just observe and time the shot but you need to stay mentally calm. Never force the shot! That almost every time will lead to flinching or anticipation.
At 7 yards with a pistol, do you see your red dot rmr, not laser, the whole time through the recoil process? If so, are you keeping the red dot in the a zone through all the recoil? Thanks.
In my experience, the dot is going to leave your field of view with a shot. But, like irons, if your grip is good, it will return, just like the front sight will.
Ken here. Ron and I co-founded TPC. I've asked Brian to specifically answer. In my experience, at 7 yards, with proper grip/stance the dot will stay in the A zone with this gun and ammo. That would start to go away as we get closer to 10 and really high speed. At that point and farther you are steering it back in. Sounds like a good video idea!
At seven yds it leaves the A zone but I don't lose it in my vision thru the optic. That is helped by the bigger window on the DeltaPoint Pro I'm using. I generally don't lose the dot unless shooting one handed or on a bigger caliber gun. -- Brian
Finally found a video on why I hit low sometimes, I will try to anticipate the drift. I'm only 120 rnds into shooting a red dot

Yes, it's just a matter of perception!

Great demonstration. Thx
Good comparison between movement of a pistol vs rifle. I’m having a hard time transitioning to a dot on a pistol and this makes sense.
Would have been a lot easier to see with fresh targets

@@TacticalPerformanceCenter thanks for the reply and willing to listen to criticism! Great channel!

13 split on a glock!? How does your finger move that fast? Im thrilled if i can a 16.
it does slow him down. He can regularly do .10s with 1911/2011 and the SA pull on CZs. (-:

Play video at .25 pace to see what the dot is doing between shots.
Your hand gun dot is low your hitting high
Something about your sunglasses irritates me.
