My Grandfather was a WW1 sniper and had me shooting a small 22 revolver when I was only 7 or 8 and a S&W 38spl when I was 9 & his 1911 when I was 10, without my parents ever knowing of course. I used to spend every other weekend with my papaw and we always went out behind his house and shot a few boxes of ammo where he had a small range setup. I remember later on when my dad which I had shot a nylon 22 rifle with purchased a browning mark 22 target semiautomatic handgun when I was 13 and was going to teach me how to shoot a handgun for the first time. He handed it to me after a 15min safety talk and general trigger control speech and I’ll never forget the look on his face after I put 5 out of 6 rounds in the 10 ring rapid fire. It was priceless and I think he knew then but I never told him I had been shooting with my papaw for 6+yrs by then, I always laugh now when I think about it. Lena has probably been shooting since she was big enough to support the weight of a handgun. Reminds me of my papaw & me
The story of a true American! My dad took me hunting at age 9, with a 410 my granddad gave me. He was very surprised and kind of proud at how easily I dispatched about 5 squirrels that day. An old 410 made in 1934, I still have it!

What cracked the code was trying to pick up the front sight in peripheral vision and drive it smoothly to the target, picking it up early in the presentation. The dot started appearing on the target earlier and earlier. Shooting better now than I was in my 30s... Great video, thank yall. Cheers

Been shooting for years; the last part they are covering is so often looked; great advice for anyone who watches this and makes that connection; it’s hard to show and teach it to others; they have to change themselves. Good stuff!

Maybe run a main red dot + offset red dot (becoming common in PCC, good for certain applications like shooting on the move or around barricades) or LPVO + offset red dot.
I like the golfer's "hip wiggle" as she's getting ready to shoot. lol Good explanation, guys. So many don't understand the "front site focus" concept nor how to get it in front of the eye.
I just threw my first dot on a Ruger MK4 22/45 to start training with one. It is definitely a challenge. I'm not doing an MOS until I know I like a dot.
The Dot Dance is a shit of a thing until you practice. I spent 2 weeks of Dry Fire coming out of the Holster before I became confident in finding the Dot... Before a major I will spend a week dry fire presentation to hone my skills. Great information Jerry & Lena & well presented.
I went with my buddy, who's an airborne ranger, to the range a few months back. I remember him telling me about his experiences with different red dot sights. Specifically how he had an issue with some being polarized and not being able to see the reticle while running drills with any sunglasses on that were polarized. Thoughts on this Jerry?
Specifically thought he was having battery issues because it was happening when he rotated his firearm, this caused the light waves from the red dot to cross the polarity of his sunglasses, which like sunlight, was then blocked out.
it's not the guy who doesn't know who they are that i'd worry about. it's the guy that wishes them harm and does know who they are like what happened to Chris Kyle. White male american, good with guns = liberals' highest value target right now
Most people would think they were a non-threat or easy targets because one is an old man and the other a tiny female. Jokes on them though, because these two are LETHAL. POW POW.

damn this was such a great video! more Lena + Jerry technique explanation please!!!
Jerry you said, "To me this is a beautiful thing". Not sure if you were talking about the red dot or your daughter, but very true either way. You're a blessed man. I hope my daughter and I are like you two when she grows up. God bless.
Fascinating information that is not "common sense " from two of the greats. Thank you!!!
A dad proud of his daugther, God bless you both and all your family.
From France.
i love how lena and jerry both have there own style...lena i learn as much from you as i do from you dad...thats saying alot
Like the Dynamic Duo tips. Gettt you some, and keep em coming.
Been shooting for years; the last part they are covering is so often looked; great advice for anyone who watches this and makes that connection; it’s hard to show and teach it to others; they have to change themselves. Good stuff!
Does Lena have a RUclips Channel ? Or anymore knowledge she willing to share!
Like father like daughter their hands are flying all over the place, it’s nice to see a father daughter team explain things they both come from different directions but end up at the same point
She probably hates hearing this but she looks just like her dad
Do you not? I'm like the scaled up version of my dad.
Nothing to hate, he's a good looking guy, and she's a good looking gal.
I think I could tell them apart easily, even in the dark.
I hope not; they both look awesome.
Cheeks, chin and brow, yeah.
Definitely a chip off the ole block! Same mannerisms, charisma, and desire for knowledge to be shared! Awesome presentation guys, thanks!
Question: What about on ARs and others with side Iron sights with a Red Dot; is it a good upgrade? Question: Is it easy sight in side sights? I luv you guys! Stay safe! I would be a dream come true to shoot with you. Lastly we could have really have used your training/sight in Iraq!
Maybe run a main red dot + offset red dot (becoming common in PCC, good for certain applications like shooting on the move or around barricades) or LPVO + offset red dot.
It's infinitely easier, your cheek weld prevents you from losing the dot.
Just co-witness and run. In competition, I couldn't tell you. I was never interested in that aspect.
I like the golfer's "hip wiggle" as she's getting ready to shoot. lol
Good explanation, guys. So many don't understand the "front site focus" concept nor how to get it in front of the eye.
Now I just need to buy that new MOS ready pistol...never ends 😂
I just threw my first dot on a Ruger MK4 22/45 to start training with one. It is definitely a challenge. I'm not doing an MOS until I know I like a dot.
@@ChristopherKnN I love my mk4 tactical
The Dot Dance is a shit of a thing until you practice. I spent 2 weeks of Dry Fire coming out of the Holster before I became confident in finding the Dot... Before a major I will spend a week dry fire presentation to hone my skills. Great information Jerry & Lena & well presented.
I can’t imagine Jerry in Canada.
Why not?
Vrealon Handguns are restricted by default, and you can’t take them out into the woods to plink. The only place you can use them is at the range.
Your daughter is a very good communicator! GREAT Team!!!!!
This guy deserves 10 million more subscriber's , Jerry is and forever will be a Legend !
Imagine trying to rob these guys during a family outing. I would almost feel sorry for the crim. Almost (ok not really).
it's not the guy who doesn't know who they are that i'd worry about. it's the guy that wishes them harm and does know who they are like what happened to Chris Kyle. White male american, good with guns = liberals' highest value target right now
Most people would think they were a non-threat or easy targets because one is an old man and the other a tiny female. Jokes on them though, because these two are LETHAL. POW POW.
The master and his lovely prodigy.
Love watching the interaction.
You've raised a lovely, bubbly young lady .Well done sir.
You know damn well that she was cheeky because she was with her dad. Cute.
Thank you. Great advice. Recently went to a green dot on my P-10C. With aging eyes, I'm thoroughly enjoying the change. Sighting it in for 25 yards was the challenge.
2:09 -- Time to reapply that fingernail polish buddy, you've plumb wore that to nothing.
I like your new look Lena, your old look looks good on your too Jerry.thanks to you both for all you do to inform us.
Good God.., its like Jerry 30 years in the past who decided to have a sex change.
Andy, She definitely can’t deny her dad!
@@granitestateman942 No milkman involved there.
@@granitestateman942 I bet her first words were Smith & Wesson.
More Lena! She's a fantastic addition! I really enjoy these duo videos of you two. Keep it up.
You did a good job Jerry.....my 12 yr old shoots my 586 with .38s very accurate, still timid on speed. She has a lot of respect for the firearm so I don’t push too hard, just happy she likes to shoot. Lena is an impressive young lady, you’ll never have to worry about intimidating any of her dates....she’s got it covered:):):)
I don't think they truly know how much free knowledge they give out. I learned so much and continue to learn from his videos. Just amazing.
