We've seen this kind of hype before with the "Carolina Collection" and subsequent allegations of a lack of transparency and market manipulation by Heritage and WATA insiders.
It’s an amazing find for sure. Someone is truly going to make a fortune on this find whether they get the games graded or not. WATA still makes me uneasy, after the Karl Jobst exposé on their shady practices, and honestly, I’m not pleased that Collectors decided to acquire them, giving their company legitimacy that in my eyes is unfounded. If I were getting a game graded, I would prefer to give the business to a different company, even if I do occasionally submit baseball cards to PSA.
Also it’s a little upsetting when people say vga fell behind. When heritage partnered with a new grading company with investors in that grading company and only accepted wata games. One focused on grading the other on hype and marketing value. Vga kept their head down and focused on unbiased grading. It is now showing as we see 85+ and up go for massive money over other copies.
Everything is expensive on ebay don’t think of ebay as a real store it’s full of scalpers they put prices on games movies that cost as much as a house and cars right now I no longer play on the older consoles I play on the most powerful consoles Xbox series X PS5 PS4 the Nintendo Switch isn’t powerful it’s the same graphics performance power as the Wii and Wii U don’t know why stop making new releases for those 2 consoles tears of the kingdom on the Wii and Wii U I wouldn’t mind buying Nintendo just can’t afford having all 3 consoles

I stand behind that statement. VGA did fall behind in terms of population reports and marketing etc. No secret there
