  • With the introduction of the DJI Mavic 3 Pro as a C2 drone 2023 with serious limitations in the city under EASA and the discontinuation of the original Mavic 3 series, the DJI Mavic 3 Classic is the only really good option for flying in urban areas under EASA, as it's C1 labeled, and therefore are allowed to fly in A1, see why in this DJI Mavic 3 Classic Review 2023 🔥 Have you bought your first drone? I was wondering which version did you get? I mean controller wise? I was just thinking about getting the default controller. Seems to work great with my iPhone. Was looking at using the Apple iPad 9 and get an adaptor to work with the controller. I don't hear great reviews with the DJI RC. Screen is 720 and up to 700 nits with about 4 hours of battery time and so on. Is the DJI RC durable or seems a little cheap, and the true benefit is just having he screen?

Hello Henrik, great video👍🙏 I have the Mini 3 Pro and also brought the Mavic 3 Classic in november 2022 directly when it came out mainly because of the C1 label that is important for flying in the A1 class in Europe. I mostly fly my Mini 3 Pro and use the Mavic 3 Classic for flying in stronger winds in the landscape and for more professional work. It's a beast of a drone 😃The digital 3x zoom of the Mavic 3 Classic is good enough for me. I always try to fly as close to a filming object when needed and dont't really use the digital zoom. The only reason to upgrade the Mavic 3 Classic would be a Mavic 3 Pro capable drone with better specs then the M3C with obtical zoom and with a weight below 900 gr. and with the C1 mark. I am convinced DJI will come out with a new M3 Pro or comparable version for the EU Market with a C1 label. For now I am totally happy with my DJI drones and the Autel Nano+ that I also own and certainly will keep. To be honest: in my personal opinion the camera from the Autel Nano+ is awesome and even beats the camera from the DJI drones in low light. But DJI drones fly better. At the end I enjoy flying all my drones. That's what really matters for me above specs!!!! Greetings from a subscriber from 🇳🇱 Keep up your good work for the drone community👍👍👏👏

Thank you for the review. Currently looking to upgrade my Mavic Mini. Either I will get this Mavic 3 Classic or the Mavic Mini 3 Pro. Biggest difference for me is that I would not need an insurance with the Mini 3 Pro, but insurance is required for the Mavic 3 Classic - I'm not sure if the difference in video quality is worth it. Could you make a comparisson video showing the same footage from both drones?

not worth the money. you can do it with mini 3 pro. What you need is Mavic 3 pro. Most of the time I am not able to fly close to the object. The reason is simple, loss of signal.

Hendrik, I sold my Air 2S last week and just got a new C1 certified Mavic 3 classic. Whaauw what a wonderful drone to fly with, already have no regrets. Well I am testing with active track and was curious about that european 50 meter limit. Well I can track in 'spotlight' the way I want and that farm is 500 meters away though and it catches it well and just holds it. I also managed to track a car with a caravan and the drone did follow the combination for 500 meters before the track dropped out. How is that possible? Does it only apply in track and parallel and not in spotlight?

Excellent video. I have my classic now for 6 or more months. Wanted some new info and I found it. I have 2 questions if you don't mind. Do you shoot now in D log M or D log? Also have you done any comparison videos between the Dlog and Dlog M ? How much dynamic range does one loose if he choose Dlog M. Also here in the USA. If I want to shoot at 5.1K and 50fps is that a problem because I use a 30P time line. I guess I would shoot at 5.1K 50fps and slow it down to match my timeline framerate. I think I know the answer to this but I'm not sure. Am I loosing quality in anyway if I use 5.1K 50fps and slow it down for my 30P timeline. ??

Hi, I received my Classic one week ago and I'm really disappointed. The focus works not correctly, every photo is not really sharp, I tried also the manual aperture, unfortunately without optimisation. Also the videos, independently from the 4K, C4K or 5.1k, auto mode or manual. For such a big MFT sensor it is really a mess. Do you know such a problem? Maybe my classic has a failure and I have to return it.

@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Thank you, I talked with DJI, it is not a software issue. But it could be a lens issue. The lens is not right installed and leads to a non sharp picture at the sensor. I will return it and order a new one.

The classic is definitely better than the Pro? Well, at least I think it's better. I'm not a photographer, or anything else. I'm a hobbyist, and I'll prefer the classic over the Pro any time.
Plus, I'm not too excited about having two, or three cameras on a drone. One is all I need and like. Even if I could afford the more expensive drones, I would get a classic.
Thanks for sharing my friend, and as always. See you in the next video. 👍👍👍

I have the Mavic 3 classic, and I think it's the best choice in the entire Mavic 3 line. Better value, and without some (?) of the "problems" of the 1st Mavic 3. (=like how fast it finds a GPS signal, no there is tilt horizon etc). The only thing missing from the entire Mavic series, IS 10bit IN NORMAL profile!.
And that Night Mode, as it is today...is completely useless, in terms of quality output.

The data telling maximum wind are nice but know that the gusts, in such winds, are considerable higher. The gusts makes the RTH function go to sleep....
Thanks for pointing out the tracking limit of 50 meters! I have a project in my mind.....
Just started using a Mavic 3 PRO because of the camera. The 43 minutes of time is appreciated.
As You say, that's theoretical numbers. It's nice to have a few minutes for landning especially as manual landing in the hand is often needed.

I want asking myself the same thing, watching hundreds of videos and reading Reddit reviews. Other than the second 70mm camera Air 3 has nothing more to offer. 12mp vs 20mp from a fat ass big sensor (the 48mp stacked images is clear marketing). I think that is more future proof purchase than the Air 3. But still both are great. I was 3 years with mini 2. The upgrade was huge

    • @PhotographyInFlight4183
      @PhotographyInFlight4183 Год назад +1

@@nicolas_vl I think it's all about the camera, the Mavic 3 may have the edge there, with the adjustable aperture and what not. The Air 3 does have the latest transmission technology and as you pointed out the 70mm which is nice, and the Air 3 is cheaper. But at the end of the day, you want the best flying camera you can reasonably afford. Thanks mate.

I don't get why you always complain about the noise, simply fly it from around the corner and change your position when flying and then when landing. Nobody ever looked at me simply because the drone is... lile... fl;ying, man :D
