I'm a gay man who is married to another man. I have no fear of any gay marriage reversal. That said, even in the event it was done, it is literally nothing more than a piece of paper! It means nothing to my relationship or family. A piece of paper doesn't define your relationship and family. This man behaving and talking as if that piece of paper is the foundation of his family's existence is absurd. Furthermore, the entire trans movement is what has made society turn against LGBT - putting it in everyone's face as hard as possible. The LGBT went TOO far.
Except it protects your ability to adopt together, buy property together, and to visit each other in the hospital if one of you gets sick. But yeah that piece of paper means "nothing." Lol
The LGBTQ community owes so much to the trans community. Trans people are not extremists or outsiders, they are average people struggling because we live in a society that has crafted gender yet refuses to view it with nuance. Transgender people simply want to live happily and prevent the pain of growing up thinking you're "wrong" or "disgusting" because you do not fit into society. It is so similar to the queer community. I urge you to consider the similarities rather than the differences. To alienate, blame, or shame transgender people because it seems "unnatural" or "wrong" is such a hypocritical act. We must stand together, the line between acceptably different and unacceptably different is invisible to doctrine that values homogeneity and a strict societal norm

Marriage was initialized as a means of establishing and perpetuating royal bloodlines, and clarifying complicated matters of inheritance. This occurred regionally at least six thousand years ago, and was a global practice by around three thousand years ago. Christians hijacked it sometime around 800 AD. Additionally, the fact that marriage is regulated by the government and is nonexclusory to any specific religion means that it can't be constitutionally withheld from any taxpaying citizens who are of legal age and consenting.
@@chicagogal Before Christianity, there WAS no Garden of Eden. And marriage post-Christianity is certainly NOT "what it's always been", as we have extant records of ancient history which clarify that fact quite easily. The reasons and rituals pertinent to marriage have been perpetually changing since day one. Polygamy, incest, and forced marriage between a woman and her aprewrist were acceptable practices in Biblical times, so the notion that "Christians just know what it's always been" flies the coop. @b1crusade384 yes it is..
The worry is that the Supreme Court will overthrow Obergefell (and possibly Lawrence vs Texas) in the same way they overthrew Roe V Wade. That would instantly make most same sex marriages a crime. For anyone who relies on their marriage for legal rights, they would be gone. If they overturn Lawrence V Texas (which is only 20 years old) then most same sex sex will become a crime.

What a dumb dumb question. It will be rolled back in a year. Gone in a year.
But they will lock you up if caught in relationship with another man?
Candace owens was right 😂
You will need to get a stack of contracts, wills, medical and regular powers of attorney to equal what that one piece of paper does for you.
that would be great but it wont ever happen, and if it did it would not help Trump in any way
Then that's great it won't happen.

Hopefully. Marriage was ordained by God, not the state
Hahaha hahaha lol ignorant fool
Marriage was initialized as a means of establishing and perpetuating royal bloodlines, and clarifying complicated matters of inheritance. This occurred regionally at least six thousand years ago, and was a global practice by around three thousand years ago. Christians hijacked it sometime around 800 AD. Additionally, the fact that marriage is regulated by the government and is nonexclusory to any specific religion means that it can't be constitutionally withheld from any taxpaying citizens who are of legal age and consenting.
@teptime it's between One man and one woman since the garden of Eden. Christians didn't hijack it they just know what its always been. But nice try.
Sure then why not have non-christians have the freedom to do what they want?@chicagogal
But nice try.
