Learn how to play Hots on for Nowhere, as performed by Led Zeppelin released on their 1976 Presence album. This whole album is pretty much "Jimmy's guitar album" with all songs with multiple guitar arrangements built in and great exploration in guitar tones as well.
The lesson covers all of the rhythm parts, harmonized layers, and the guitar solo which probably is on Jimmy's strat with the whammy bar intro and outro being the clue for that.

Definately an obscure LZ track that never got much of my attention, but my 3 year old loves it and his constant requests for it got me listening to it almost daily and I really appreciate it like I never thought I would.

I always see people posting comments with the word "underrated," so I tend to avoid it. The album, Presence, and particularly this song, however, are definitely underrated! Some of the best Jimmy Page riffs ever (Nobody's Fault But Mine, Achilles Last Stand, For Your Life, Royal Orleans). Thank you for this one!

Thanks for your upload. I check out videos like these because I'm a multi-instrumentalist. But my main instrument has always been Bass. That's what I bought when I was 16, and learned. The other instruments just came along as and when, and I have never had too much difficulty learning them, but I would never call myself a Guitarist, or a Drummer, or a Keyboardist. I know my strengths and weaknesses, but I'm trying to improve all the time. I know I'm a good guitarist, but I could be tons better, so videos like these help.
Especially with a player as conflicted I am with as Page.
I'm a huge George Harrison fan. And when I hear people talk about "My Sweet Lord" I just have to say, Harrison? They should rename Plagiarism to Pageiarism, he stole so many other people's work it's almost criminal. And the people that say, well he did it better, I'm like come on. If someone stole your car, suped it up, made it win the Grand Prix, you'd still be saying that's my fucking car!!!!
And I notice in this video you keep defending your right to play sloppy.
The thing is, I think Page, in the studio, ain't all that sloppy. Maybe "Heartbreaker" has some iffy moments, but I think every album he did with Led Zeppelin, he is recording really flawlessly executed work, and guitar arrangements that are very thought out and composed. And I'm not a Zeppelin fan. BLACK SABBATH!!!!!!! The only reason I bought Led Zeppelin albums was because of JOHN PAUL JONES, and how he worked with John Bonham. I am a John Paul Jones fan and advocate. I really could not stand the way Robert Plant sang in those days, all the push push and orgasmic squeals, but loved his solo career. I think Shaken 'N' Stirred is one of the best albums of the 80's.
Page live is sloppy as hell. I was there at Live Aid watching him play!!! It wasn't great. And any performance I see of him between 1971 - 1988 is like that. That first year of Zep's existence he was great. But then .... by the time you get to 1975, it's honestly Jones and Bonham making the other two sound better than what they were. In my opinion.
But Page in the studio is great. That's why I'm here. Cuz Page really knows guitar. Of the Clapton / Beck / Page trinity, I think he's the one that's the most musical. I mean without doubt he's the strongest composer by miles (when he's not taking someone else's tunes, he's still doing it on Presence!), but it's not just that. I mean Jeff Beck is Top 10 for me, of the 3 I just think he's at another level, but Page has so much to offer. Chord arrangements. Textures. He's just really well versed in the instrument and the sounds it can produce.

New found respect for you, my man! It takes a lot of patience to work through a song like this , and get it accurate. I don’t think I have the patience, especially that great , awkward Page solo - only Jimmy Page could delve into something like that!
Anyways, great lesson - AS ALWAYS!!
    Cheers!!
