Learn how to play Kashmir, as performed by Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page) from their 1975 Physical Grafitti album. If there is one song to point to to summarize Led Zeppelin's career, is it this song? I think it might, what do you think?
The lesson covers all the guitar parts from Jimmy, the main ascending riff, descending riff, bridge section/chord changes, and I'll show you three ways to play the great outro riff at the end of the song.

I'm not a Rocker per say but I saw them in Baton Rouge which was the last concert with Bonham. When they played this I almost died. I was 18 and my hair was standing up on the back of my head. I put it in my top 5 songs ever with Purple Rain, They Dance Alone (Sting), Song for You Leon Russell, I'm stuck now can't think of my others, maybe Whats going On Marvin..........I am subscribing well done. Everybody gets this one wrong, great lesson.
Great stuff , i like all of your amp's and guitar's ,enjoy and God bless.
thanks once again, love all your lessons, please keep going!
Yes, yes I did learn something new! Congrats on the new guitar - most excellent!
Nice 12ft, still shocked over Mr. Jeff Beck's passing so sad ♪♫♪♫ The Mirror story and Jimi Page painting it to the Dragon Telecaster, well I bought one of them re issues not mmx The wife Just bought me a Jeff Beck Olympic White today should have by Monday. Keep up your awesome work :3
I’ve been looking for a lesson on the outro section he’d play live. That’s awesome thank you!!
Thank You!! Superb!! Really LOVE, The Open or Altered Tunings, please do more!!
Nice job! The 59NOS is a great guitar. Very lightweight and sounds terrific.
Interesting! I learned this from another YT lesson a few years back, and here there's more strings involved in the "walkdown". Need to locate that other lesson again and compare.
And that is one nice DanElectro!!
Thank you for your videos
Dead on here, great job!
Kashmir is the exotic meddle-eastern influence. I played my Physical Grafitti LP so much I think you see through the other side. Kashmir in my opinion defined what they are musically capable of creating. Kashmir is one of my fav songs, regardless of Page and Co. followed by 'When the Levee Breaks'.
Great song
Jimmy B-Day, Beck end sad.
You look a lot like Sam Coulson! This is a great video, thanks. Lovely guitar.
Thanks!
Thank you!
I play along with a live performance of Kashmir, he plays a les paul with a b bender, great tune !!
Thanks for the lesson! While in DADGAD always fun to play Pearl Jam's Given To Fly! Mike McCready wrote his parts in dadgad
Is the tape on your right thumb required? 🤣🤣 I understood Page got the GADAD tuning from Bert Jansch. It's a great riff play - it plays you. Good lesson with your special passion. The swirly sound is so dominant on the descending riff. I got my eye on your butterscotch Tele hanging on the wall while your playing ......
Wow your channel has exploded, that's awesome! Guess I should have expected that! Awesome lesson, makes me wish I still played. At least I can see all the mistakes I was making all those years ago. Lol😆 All the best Doug!❤
Thanks Tommy! Never too late to start again!
@@12footchain You just may inspire me to do so🎸👍✌
Great channel. You have unlocked some nice tunes for me. If possible can you do “China Grove”Doobie Brothers? Thanks
Nice video man. Cool Dano!
Hey Marty!! Fancy spotting you.
@@standingvertical3048 gotta show some love for my friends when I can. Eventually we will be working on a collab video!
I'll use my P-90, middle posit. Great tutorial, I really love the harmony part outro. Did you find that from noodling? Good ear, keeep it up.
The Headstock is nice.
Everything in DADGAD sounds good.
I got one for you how about Junior's Farm by Paul McCartney
I am pretty sure that on the descending riff the b string stays open the whole way down.

Pagey mad DADGAD tuning famous there's been a lot of guitar players use it but Jimmy took it and ran with it
Awesome.
What effects pedal are you running the Dane through?
I list them in the vid description
@@12footchain 🤘🏼
What amp are you using for this?
Marshall 1987x 50w Plexi Reissue imp.i114863.net/oeYKZY , not making any claim that he used one, but that was what I used.
Lots of chorus sounds like
Hi there, How about a lesson of FREE, Oh I wept. Thx
