Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.
The more you listen to Presence the more you appreciate it
Habjas Yup.
true. I hear so often that it's their "worst album" but imo that's just bs. It's absolutely beautiful.
Janneke Goossens Me too . What is your favorite Zepp album ?
+Johmathan .B. Swift Physical Graffitti, Led Zeppelin 4, Led Zeppelin 2, Led Zeppelin 1, Houses of the holy, Led Zeppelin 3, THTOD, Presence, Coda. As for there live stuff How the West Was Won, Song Remains The Same,BBC Recordings THERE ALL BETTER THAN 95 percent of anything else period
Just a few tracks like this one. That one, Achilles Last Stand, Nobody's Fault But Mine.
There is Led Zeppelin and then there is everyone else. Period.
You sir, know what's up...I agree 100%
Amazingkaddycaps Yup Yup Yup
Amen!!!
Stop hating dude, just because you have no taste don't mean everyone else does!
That is a absolute true statement. Period.
Presence is so underrated. I love that record.
COMPLETELY agree, if I bother to listen to LZ anymore it’s this or coda, I am a now much bigger fan of the direction they were headed prior to the end, than what they are generally known for
This tune is an example of how sometimes silence can be the most effective tool. The slight pause during the main riff just adds so much to the tune!! Love Zep forever!!
Through the years Page proved himself a master at using space.
Light and shade……the joy of nothing.
So true it’s the space, they leave room for effect. I know when I play it. If I have a slight delay on it or reverb, that trail is really nice not all run together.
Bonzo!
I've listened to nothing but zeppelin for the past 12 months. Nothing else sounds good anymore.
I'm so with you... just drove solo around southern Mexico for 6 months and have their entire discography on an old iphone. I'm 55.
@@johannwolf1 Me too. I've been binge listening to Zep for the past 2 weeks or more and nothing else. I can't stop listening to Presence and ALS at Knebworth. It's unreal, that performance.
At the beginning of pandemic found Led Zeppelin, how I don't remember. From that moment to this can't listen to anyone else( Black Crow once in a while). I'm 78 years and this is ridiculous. I should be listening to Lawrence Welk.
@@brandonshaw2120 Try the No Quarter version of Kashmir & Four Sticks & Rain Song. 50 piece Egyptian ensemble accompanies. "Impossible" to top...
@@johannwolf1 I'll join you in that 55 thing next month(Aug 22)and I already agree with you on the nothing sounds better than Zep part
Oh John Paul Jones why are you so great ?!
U ain't bullshit en
He is great... underated 4 sure.....
Simply because he is JPJ
He is coolest🙂👍
@@dougbresky3187 Best rhythm section ever
The chemistry between the four of them was beyond amazing. LED-ZEPPELIN "RULES"!!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!
So good that 1 member's death spelt the end of the band
I'm so glad they DIDN'T find a new drummer.
@@mjp96 me too. It just wouldn’t be Led Zeppelin.
Still sounds like fresh music to me all these years later. Zeppelin are timeless..
Absolutely 💯
This is why with zeppelin your favorite songs and favorite albums are constantly changing.

Led Zeppelin was the pinnacle of rock and roll..nothing else has or will ever compare!

For your life and tea for one are also great songs..on my Zeppelin top 10 list
This one never really caught on with the "straighter" LZ fans, but for us die-hards ?
The Album we were.waiting for ...
The total bummer was the fact hat Plants son Karachi died while they were touring for this album.☹️
I was lucky enough to meet John Paul Jones after he did a killer solo show at the mighty Toad's Place in New Haven CT years ago
He did play the Rain Song and one of my all time favorites No Quarter! Met him after the show and got an autobiograph and picture with him.
What a very humble man he is!
One of the greatest bass players ever!
John Paul Jones.
One of the greatest all round musicians.
I also was at that show!!!!...one of the best shows I ever saw!!!!!!
I was at that show as well...JPJ was AMAZING!!!!!
timeless music. it will be good in 20 years. it will be good in 100 years. its just good.

The first time l heard Zeppelin l was hooked, now 44 years later and l am still hooked. The best Rock band ever,Beatles who!
Same here ! Back in 77 I was walking to school and I was singing"Disco Duck 🦆" . When I got home I was singing Rock and Roll !
You meant beatles and the who
Exactly!!! I’ve never quite understood the love affair with the Beatles.
Same here,I was hooked instantly,1978 we had a snow day,and a few of my friend went over our other friends house, and it was the first time listening to zeppelin 2..it was absolutely amazing,we must of played that vinyl record 5 times that day,oh the memories.
And Zep LOVED the Fab Four! Great stuff!!
Could be their most underrated Album.Gets better every time I listen.Saw them Adelaide 1972.
Lucky you
Presence is a very underrated Zep record. Bonzo's drumming and Jimmy's guitar work really shine on this gem of a record.
Like there in the garage jamming and having a blast.
This is an incredible album. Jimmy was on fire, but the rest of the band was at the top of their game too.
Except for bonzo 🍺
Achilles Last Stand
Nobody's Fault But Mine
For Your Life
great stuff.
And this one if course
Best ever!!! Saw them 3 times. Was at Madison Square Garden for Song Remains the Same video
bill schulman That would have been so great! I've watched TSRTS so many times, I saw the film in 1977 during the day and went and saw them at the LA Forum that night, best band ever, true!!!

Ja, ja...
Yeah right
This album is just unbelievably good, I love it. My favourite Page's riffs are here.
I also love Jimmy's riffs on this one. Love his stuff on Royal Orleans especially..
First one I bought on release aged 14 . Achilles was like everything I had been waiting for !

Just magic isnt it? That bass is an absolute blast. Think I actually prefer this to the original....
The most under-rated Led Zep album - and tough call but probably the best imo
It´s not under-rated at all.
dortega12 yes it is
@@dortega12 yes it is, many people say that this is their second worst, or worst album, but they don't call it bad. I think it's a pure rock record with no filler and constant sonic brilliance from start to finish. I'm an 18 year old kid and I'm so glad my dad got me hooked on these guys early on
AGREE, HANDS DOWN, ZEPPELINS BEST RECORDING !
In through the out door imo
Never heard this Zep song before after all these years, but I dig it. Love those pauses and interesting rhythm.
Presence is Page at the top of his game, great chops and arrangements and off-kilter riffs like this gem.
Its everything they do best! Its so much better for not trying to be too commercial. Deeply underrated album.
His top? Go back and listen to the first 2 albums again
That’s not true. This was not Jimmy page at his best.

As someone who’s pretty much never listened to Led Zeppelin, I’ve had this on repeat for weeks now 😂 LALALALALALALAAAAA
Led Zeppelin....Worlds Greatest Band. For There Will Never Be Another Led Zeppelin!
I own the Presence vinyl since 1977. Still I find new ideas there. Very, very grateful to Led Zeppelin.
Also Me Self keep finding the ideas and insperemergy
Same here. Got it 77 when I was 14 and my friends and I first listened to it and were blown away. I have it on the rack just a few feet away still
Bonzo has a wonderful precisioun and damn powerfull drumming!
That bass
My ears thank infinitely.
Bonham at his finest!
Start it over and listen to that drummer.
No one is better.
Straight ahead Robert Plant...Lord have Mercy! JPJ on that bass?? Damn, son!
Rock 'N' Roll = Led Zeppelin! 🤷♂️🎶🎧🎸
Fantastic bass riff
great song. not very well known, but one of their best, even among their many greats
Much clearer vocals and bass IMO. Sounds great!
Indeed!
I raised my family and forgot about this Song I heard it on WDVE brought back great memories like now enjoy 🎤🎸🥁🎹
The Golden God Of Rock!
Ooofff. Love this track. Love every single track on this underrated album.
This song along with the rest of album is 1 of the best produced albums I've ever heard..Great thing is these songs weren't overplayed like all earlier material plus the driving grooves on lots of these tracks by Bonham and Jones are phenomenal..Pages guitar tones are my favorite too and Plant delivers the great vocals while in a wheelchair..Definitely my favorite Zeppelin album
I really liked this album when it came out. It's one of their best.🙏😷🎶❗👀
Under 200k views as of Aug 2020. Incredibly low for any LZ track, but every track on this album is a masterpiece, almost a culmination, a peak, of everything that made the group beyond sensational.
Only Zeppelin can bring this kind of funk.
An excellent album. In more recent times receiving the recognition so denied for many years. Adds to the rich tapestry of quality associated with many of their other albums.
By far one of the loopiest loosest wacked out Jimmy Page solos out there. I love it.
It's brand new allover again, the way Page's guitars overlay and Robert Plant's lyrics and vocals, and of course the dynamic powerful bass and drums. Wow!
This song rocks. Love the guitar licks!
I enjoyed this more than the album full effect version!!!...to hear Robert w/o effects, w/o Jimmys' sprinkilings, and to hear just the raw tune, makes me love it that much MORE!!.....what a killer tune!!!......
I saw Page and Plant in 1994 in Denver. It was my first time seeing Jimmy Page. I saw God that night. After that show, I saw them 6 more times. It would be the closest thing to seeing the Might Zep playing. I'm glad I got the opportunity.
I had the pink PRESENSE 8 TRACK, I got it at 12 yrs old...FELL IN LOVE with rock n roll!! 😂❤ #thewonderyears RIP John Henry 🙏 ❤😢
I love this track, especially this part: *3:50**.* Page and Bonzo kicking ass here. Great guitar riffs and killer drumming.
Thanks, Jimmy!

BEST ZEP ALBUM HANDS DOWN...GUITAR, GUITAR, AND MORE GUITAR
Funny.
The first Led Zeppelin album that I heard was Zeppelin ll.
It was phenomenal and it was a fine time to be alive. There was so much great music to be had (and heard).
A friend (who was a couple of years older) asked “Have you heard Zeppelin l?”
I said “No. I’ve never heard it”
He strongly recommended it. And when I sought it out and had a listen (several!), I was just blown away.
What a spectacular debut album!
Just a couple of years later, I was cruising around the world in the U. S. Navy.
A friend of mine would play some cassette every morning, much to my dismay.
I finally asked “What is that shit?”
He said “It’s an album by Led Zeppelin called ‘Presence.”
I said “That’s not MY Led Zeppelin!”
Just a mere two years later, however, I was out of the Navy, in a Rock & Roll band and playing three songs off of Presence- including this one.
Sad to say- there will never, ever be another Zep.
How could there be?
Rock On!
This is definitely one of the best songs on this record. It's not perfect, but this, Tea for one, Achilles. Nobody's Fault are all great.
My fav Zep LP.So FUNKIN' awesome! ZoSo
Love it!!
1:53 the best part of the song, itd what made me fall in love with it at first listen.
4:02 is the best part
Got to be one of catchiest Led Zeppelin songs.
I didn't get this album the first few times I listened to it originally but flippin' 'eck it has really grown on me over the years. I think it's a masterpiece.
This takes me on a journey that I never want to end
This is my fav song on my alltime fav Led Zeppelin album! When I graduated boot camp in 2005 I immediately went out and bought this album to blast from a normal ol’ CD player when I got to my A School duty station

Super Stacked guitar tracks.
Love the sound on this LP. Something special. Many bands have that one disc that stands out, like Hawkwind Hall of the mountain grill or the Stones Goats head soup..
Try playing the end to this song, the scale is easy enough, but the timing n slight bends....this entire song is a technical masterpiece......IDT Zeppelin ever played it live and Page needed three guitarists to play it correctly w/Black Crowe's... and, sadly, that was without Bonham...and they needed him...man, did they !
