Rockabilly machine right there. Worth swapping out the tuners and make her a keeper. Thumbs up.

The wood pattern on the top is beautiful. I'm a sucker for semi hollow/hollow body guitars. Really like it. I guess we can expect a locking tuner installation video soon?
And I feel offended you did not expect me to watch until the end. :P ;)
    Cheers,
    Martin

    • @BenCoombs

Not sure about locking tuners, I'd settle for functional tuners. And yes I should have expected you to stay until the end!!
      Cheers Martin!!

@@BenCoombs Well, yeah, but when you're at it why not going for locking ones right away. I always go for the Kluson ones because they have never disappointed me and they are affordable compared to other brands. And all good my friend, I was obviously joking, but I guess you know. ;)
      Cheers,
      Martin

Hey, I just bought this guitar and for some reason the pickup switch won't work. It only produces sound if on one side. Can someone help me with this?

    • @BenCoombs
      @BenCoombs  10 месяцев назад

Likely a bad solder connection on the switch with one of the wires. That or the switch itself is bad.

Great video. Question, is the thickness more like a 335 or a full belly Gretsch as far as the body goes?

The finish on that guitar looks a lot better than the Tele clones they sell with a photo veneer maple top. Sounds pretty good! Take care of the tuner issue and you'll have sweet player!

Way too much reverb for doing a tone review, hard to tell what it really sounds like. I just ordered one yesterday, i hope my top is as beautiful as yours! The tuners are hit or miss I think.

Yea i got one july 5th i freakin loveit!!! Had to lower the bridge all the way down , tweak the rod stiffer, drop the neck pickup ( both) the neck was louder i kinda want more monster out of it so I might swap a pickup. Its the same neck nut cut and fret width space scale as my epi alpine white LP. Im orderin a black one next. The pickups are potted. The cnc wound sounds good but I want hotter more sustain id probly put better tuners the d tuner got some gank in it . Ive not changed strings yet. My bcp switch rattled so i put a moon in but this guitar Ill probly drip some hot wax in the switch and work it till it cools that may take the switch rattle out and this switch is the same it rattles. Yea I played it at feedback levels and you can mute it with your hand its potted 7:40 yea itll run away but I still want a little hotter

@@BenCoombs Those inlays are gorgeous too, I really like how they're done! That's how I pre-test a guitar before I buy it too. I see what it sounds like before you add an amp. It doesn't have to be loud I just want to know what it sounds like normally first.

I love the cleans on this guitar. (Of course, the cleans are the closest you can ever get to my preferred style of playing. Not even remotely close to one that plays in the dirt.) When I checked, the cost was $ 200.00 USA (OK $ 201.00 plus tax to be more accurate). I'm totally clueless as to what that = Canadian. Sorry. Please keep the great demos, reviews, and videos coming, Ben!!!

IYV have a good rep for fit and finish. The Vietnam government are big on high tech companies. IYV are just such a company. They enforce high stands of keeping the factories safe and up a high standard and enforce a livable minimum wage. Marshall have most of their product made in Vietnam for decades. According to Dave Friedman the Marshall's made there are made really well, world class. They are quickly becoming an alternative to Indonesia.
