Thank you kindly!! Cheers Dan!!
Definitely does the thing 🤘
Yep!!
Right on Ben! Love me some overdrive. Cheers!
Cheers Trev!!
God, I love the wood on that guitar! Well done on the demo, sounded great!
Thanks Ferd!!
I certainly love the BOSS line. I picked up a Katana just for kicks and giggles and I do not regret. Thanks Ben I enjoy your channel.
Right on!! Cheers Herb!!
Same here, I added the Katana to give me a little something extra over my Blues Cube and it definitely did the job.
Sounds great Ben, a classic for sure.
Thanks John!! Cheers!!
Perfect TS replacement. Fun demo thanks brother.
You bet!! Cheers!!
that was fun thanks for the demo , I have what I thought was a Boss OD 1 is actually a Boss Super Overdrive SD 1 .
Glad you enjoyed it!! Cheers!!
I never noticed that Boss proprietary power supply sticker before! 😂Cheers Ben!!
The more you know.... Cheers TFB!!
Beautiful EBMM Axis 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!!
A classic she be. 💪
Cheers Rifff!!
Ben is back with the Demos. Fill your boots folks.
Thanks Charles!!
Nice!
Thanks!
Sweet guitar man..nice to see u doing demos ..sounds great I love a natural sounding room mic w demos as it gives a better picture of how it actually sounds sitting there playing..😁🤘🎸🎶
Cool, thanks!
Sounds good man
Thanks!!
Love that wall behind you. Best wallpaper, ever!
No wallpaper here.
The way that I heard it, Boss actually got a patent for the asymmetrical clipping diodes, forcing the workaround design of the Tube Screamer, which could not then be a direct clone. Very few actual restrictions on copying most stuff, look at every kind of Fuzz before this one. Trademarked names are mostly all that is limited.
Quite true!! Thanks again!!
Classic - It's been on/off my board so many times I need a Nuprin - Little, Yellow, Different.
Cheers Jeff!!
Classic pedal! I have it on my mini pedalboard together with the Orange Terror Stamp. Fits the Orange tone much better than a Tubescreamer, imho
Right on!! Cheers Lukas!!
I had two of them back in the day. One like you are using and then one that had a smaller tone knob on it. Both were great sounding pedals. Wish I knew where they were or if I even still have them. After going thru a few ex wives and a couple of moves across country thing tend to just vanish lol Have a great weekend man.
Cheers!!
Great demo Ben! Yeah, I've noticed something similar with the BD-2. Didn't like that one at all in front of a Marshall style amp. Sounds much better to me through a Fender style one.
Cheers,
Martin
Cheers Martin!!
OD-1 sounds great! All time classic, play some Iron Maiden with it :)
Cheers Scott!!
Thanks for sharing B.C. Sounds Good,, never owned or used much BOSS gear. But they've been around long enough to prove ,many do own and use their products. Tally-Ho ,and keep on doing that Voo-Doo that you do so well. lol
Cheers Dennis!!
@@BenCoombs still have my first Tube Screamer, We all had the long line of fuzz boxes . until they really got it right. And I may have got a 1st year master volume 50watt Marshall,,, before the tube Screamer, for the Fender Princeton Reverb. with 12" Pile Driver speaker. Stereo Chorus between the two amps. sadly no more Marshall. But hey It's all good,
So this is Boss 1st Over Drive OD,1 ok gonna Do the OD 2 next
I did a demo on the OD-2 a while back. Cheers Ryan!!
@@BenCoombs thought you probably got pedal Demos out back side of my Trucker Cap??? Party On see U around Brother 🤠
Sounded good !! You getting used to that new mixer yet ?
No mixer was used. Cheers!!
I don't think I've ever played thru an od1.. I've got an sd1 and love it.. I wonder how different they are. Hint hint.. lol .. and btw.. u need u a marshall
I could try a shootout, got an OD-2 here too!! Cheers!!
@@BenCoombs awesome can't wait to hear it.. I don't think I've seen anyone do that comparison
I liked it enough to 'snag' on one! About 15 years ago my original BD came up 'borrowed. We all know no one would ever steel it! So I bought a BD-2. Well I'm not quite as happy with the "2". I've been grumbling about buying a "Waza Craft" version, but haven't done it yet. Been thinking about the 7 band EQ to help it also? I really just want my BD back. 8( Thanks Ben, have a good day! 8-/ --gary
Cheers Gary!!
Ben what are your thoughts/opinion on OD-1 vs SD-1? I use SS amps (Blues Cube Stage 60, Katana MKII 100). I have the SD-1 and love it but don't mind getting another pedal so long as it's worthwhile. I have the BD-2 also and I think between those two pedals I may already have all I need?
The OD-1 has different clipping diodes than the SD-1, they do sound similar though. Cheers Devin!!
@@BenCoombs Thank you bro!
Does this one have the 14 pin chip or the 8 pin that came after..the 14 is the original and were only produced for a short time ..there is a kit with the same 14 bit chip available that kiks ass
looks like a silver screw..old eyes can't tell..sounds good though..i like this od design ..even the 8 bit is good..difference is the amount of donuts one could buy if it is 14 bit if one were to sell said pedal..looks in great condition too...this in my opinion is Boss's number 1 pedal..works well with most anything.
I would say 8 pin as it's a reissue but it was made in Japan and has the silver screw (good eye!!). Cheers!!
@@BenCoombs Ahh yes very good...i can see clearly now..awesome...i run the kit after a tumnus...then into either a dumblesqe pedal or a rat..or ripped speaker muff..or sometimes all the adove..lol thanks eh!
