I remember watching this clearly in 1995, i was in hospital in Germany and watched the whole conpetition, what an athlete. I dont anyone realises how technical this event is, this was just peak prime perfect performance. Incredible speed, strength and technique in combination, a once in a lifetime moment. And what a gentlemen. salute

My all-time favorite field athlete.
Still remember the 18.43 he did earlier that season, wasn't much above 2m/s. His hop landing so great, hardly loses any speed. Legend!
With the advances in technology Im really surprised no one has come close to breaking it.. it was the perfect jump
I've always appreciated his excellence, because in the UK they are a rare breed.
Jonathan Edwards is the kind of athlete, of human being, taht doesn´t matter which country is from. I think all athletics fans from around the world we love him and were really excited that magical day of two sublime world records, a treasure for sport Mr. Edwards, undoubtully.
