The wind assisted jump he done a month before this in France was absolute perfection, well worth a look.
Perfectly framed jumper to perfect the double arm shift which became part of mainstream coaching in the early 90's. First jumper to perfect it. Technically brilliant.
What foot exercises would you recommend for triple jumpers?
Good video analysis! Only thing is, this is his first round jump of 18.16 the second jump was 18.29 and even more perfect.
Damn at first I thought I was listening to Vince Vaughn!!
Jay Vee I don’t feel like I sound like Vince Vaughn but thank you?
Edwards was a low 10sec 100m runner ?
Hawaiian Prestige Cars Think he did a hand-timed 10.6, so was probably capable of a good 10.4-10.5 minimum. Useful over 60m too I’d imagine
He had an official 10.48 100m but was faster than that according to those who trained around him. Probably not faster than 10.2. He was also very powerful for his size.
Veridicus Maximus Good info. Yes, power to weight was exceptional, which lead to big gym PRs in squat and similar.
@@georgec2894 Yes, that power to weight ratio and his speed/control is something marvelous. It is going to take one hell of a person to break that WR. He was capable of 18.50 but never quite got all the little breaks. His 18.43 / 2.4 wind was evident of this.
@@georgec2894 his first 20 Meters were Better than any sprinter
Nordic curl
The best part for me is that no one could look at him and think Steroids/PED's. Not tight, normal water retention, normal pores, fresh face, no protruding jaw muscles. Basically a normal looking guy.
