Yes, and I have made this observation in another Edwards clip. But it's not only that he maintains his speed through all three phases, he brings more speed to the takeoff board. Speed and flawless technique.

The best triple jump jumper ever!

It took 35 years for the record to go from 17 to 18 metres (1960 - 1995). I think it will be a lot more than 35 years for it to go from 18 metres to 19 metres!

Watch his rhythm compared to anyone else. The whole key to his success is his ability to keep is balance while keeping each phase low. I bet each of his phases keep getting longer instead shorter like most people.

I get that you are supposed to land foot first, I triple jump myself, but in comparison to other triple jumers in history Edwards hands down has the best landing in history. Glad you enjoy my video btw B-)

Yep! Unlike a race or a jump over a bar, the two sand jumps and the throws take a few moments to see the result - kills it a bit.

Trevor Regay I read his book, he was clean 300 lbs and he ran 10.2 100 m speed. He had excellent technique and godly speed and strength. He came to Florida in 96 and jumped 26-6 long jump. Real facts
