22:57 This is a reference to a real tragedy that occurred at Kyoto Animation. A person claimed that their work was being plagiarized by the studio and set the building on fire, killing 36 people. This happened on July 18, 2019. As you can see, Kyomoto is a clear reference to that tragedy-the loss of brilliant, creative, and lovely minds. Nothing can change what happened, but I interpret that through this story, Fujimoto makes us realize the incredible privilege of being an artist. As an artist, you have the power to redo, rewrite, redraw, and revisit those solid memories and feelings that are engraved in your art
So not only did Kyomoto collect all of the volumes, but she would read the qeekly chapters and fill out the questionnaire that WSJ uses to determine if things get cut or not
When we say that Fujimoto is goated, we’re not exaggerating. The man has a grasp in storytelling that’s so beautiful that makes all of his works worth a read. Great reaction!
the Director for this movie actually requested the animators to not try and make 'perfect' frames. that if they made any little mistakes, to leave them in. its why it's sometimes squibbly. cus the director wanted to have Human art on full display. 🎨
9:37 Back when I was a kid about her age (before social media) everyone in my class would have an address book with everyone else's address and phone number to invite to parties and events. I guess online the reach is too much so it would be weird, but I always thought it was common
9:46 yes, in some asian countries, it’s very easy to acquire different students’ parents’ names and their home address and phone numbers. Students use those info to hang out or do school related things outside of school. And parents use that to help each other take care of their kid for the moment.
Why do you draw the answer for Fujino was she drew because of kyomoto to compete and then because she wanted to give the person who gave her drawing validation everything she could its also why she was so mean in the art school scene she was afraid of losing her friend of what she had she wanted to be the one kyomoto could rely on
Not-so-fun fact: The original manga was published on July 19th, 2021, exactly 2 years after the Kyoto Animation arson attack (July 18th, 2019) in which 34 artists were killed. The perpetrator was delusional, believing that the studio had stolen his ideas for novels. People immediately associated the manga with the incident, and a lot of controversy ensued.

12:53 I freaking love this scene.
It captured the feeling of "hardly being able to contain your outburst of joy" so perfectly I felt it for her.
“I want more.”
‘GoodBye, Eri’ menacingly enters the chat
"Don't look back in anger, I was happy because of you." ーKyomoto
So not only did Kyomoto collect all of the volumes, but she would read the qeekly chapters and fill out the questionnaire that WSJ uses to determine if things get cut or not
Furthermpre, she bought multiple copies that lined up with when the manga was doing poorly in the rankings on the chart shown earlier
I watched this at the same week as Arcane ep.06 and Dan Da Dan ep.07.
WAS THE PEAK OF DEPRESSION!
Holy depression
心が浄化され目から聖水が流れてそう

Same with the guiding lines to show where the arm would be behind the body, it's all so good
finally, someone who appreciates the end credits
17:55 the vol 1 cover of Shark Kick is a parody of the Chainsaw Man vol 1 cover, down to the color scheme
Never forget the people who lost their lives in the Kyoto Animation attack. Tragedy always comes when we least expect, but don't look back in anger.
"Lol, gonna name my characters FUJIno and KyoMOTO!" - Fujimoto thinking he's slick.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Your dog is running in a dream.
22:00 is a reference to the shut door Denji sees in his dream (shown post credit episode 12)

I love this movie so much genuinely encapsulates how I feel about art so succinctly

“Why do you draw Fujino-san?”
Montage beginning 26:14 there’s your answer
look back mentioned 🗣🗣🔥🔥
Fun fact : These two characters name is atually half the name of the author
Fujino + Kyomoto is Fujimoto and the authors name is Tatsuki Fujimoto
the term you were looking for at 0:53 was "sakuga"
Great reaction. Where are you from?

15:10 Do you recognize this shot from the Chainsaw Man OP?😄
Which is already a reference to Fujimoto's "Goodbye Eri"
❤
did you realise Kyomoto was drawing chainsaw man DOOR?
Ajay so smart.
you're so pretty
