I love that idea! This was the first (and last) time I actually woke up in the middle of the night while camping, forgot how DARK it gets in the wild 😊
Marci I’m scared of EVERYTHING, so it is hard for me to push myself through that fear, but as I get older I get BOLDER! I just admit to myself that YES I’m scared but am I dead yet? No, so I keep going ☺️. If it kills me at least I’ll die doing something I love doing (probably not going to die pulling a trailer to camp LOL)! Glad you liked the video, happy camping!
You should not keep food where you sleep in bear country. Leave it in tow vehicle or better yet, in bear proof container hung up over a high tree branch. If they smell food, a bear would have no problem at all popping out a window or door of even a normal trailer or house trailer or even your tow vehicle for that matter. Keep a high power flashlight that you can blind animal with while you get away or hit it as last resort, pepper spray, and air horn, and bucket of rocks to throw at least if you do no want to carry gun. It is best to deter than have to fight so don’t attract with food, have a light or lantern outside with an automatic motion sensor or remote control, boat airhorn in trailer with you, use pepper spray if breaks in but be sure you know how to quickly get out emergency escape window or door in opposite direction from bear. There are also portable solar electric fence systems that you can set up and turn on at night or if bear comes into camp where allowed to use, some tourist parks may not allow.
Great information, thank you. It’s not normally bear country there, but because of wildfires they are pushed lower than normal. You are right about the food, I don’t carry much but keeping it in the tow vehicle is a great suggestion.
Hi Ruth, thanks for the video. I also have an Aliner and I love it too. Your bubble windows look super clean. I am having a problem cleaning mine. Please tell me what product you use and how you clean the outside of them??? Thank you so much for your help!
Hi Christine, thanks for watching! I haven’t had to clean my windows yet, they were like that when I bought it last year. But I think people use a product called Novus or 303 protectant. I saw it on the Aliner Facebook page, I hope you find it!
Something new can be terrifying but empowering too! Do your research and bring a friend. Most public campgrounds offer tons of friendly people willing to help out. Happy camping!
Thank you for putting together this video! Perhaps I missed it, but which model Aliner do you own? Are you happy with that size for the two of you and your dog? I'm having a tough time figuring out some of the differences between the various models. Thank you in advance!
I enjoyed your video! Thanks for sharing your camping experience. I love your humor! What was the book and author of the journaling book. I’m a mental health therapist and always love hearing about good books to recommend.
Thanks Mish, the book is titled Visual Journaling by Barbara Ganim and Susan Fox, it’s very helpful to locate emotions that need to be brought to the surface and expressed. I’m about a third of the way through it and I’ve enjoyed it so far. Art has always been a great creative outlet for me. I hope you find value in it.
Happy Trails Always 😊 thanks 🙏🏼 Aliña
Thank you! Happy camping!
Glad you have the hard walls of the aliner!!
Try putting magnetic Solar Motion Sensor Lights (or battery) on your camper… when done I store in a small plastic container

Nice video!! thanks for sharing cant wait for you next one!! I love my Aliner as well!!!
Thanks for the feedback James, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time just like you probably do in your Aliner!!!
@@ruthtrips7391 I wonder if that was a bear? are there hogs in the area?
I do think it was a black bear. We don’t have wild hogs. I’m just glad I didn’t leave any food or scraps out.
@@ruthtrips7391 I installed one of those solar motion lights on the sides of my Aliner, easy install with double sided tape!!
I will look into the solar motion lights, that is a great suggestion, thank you!
You are a lovely lady with a great attitude.
Thank you Martin 🙏🏻
LOVE that you're doing this by yourself! (I haven't gotten the courage to do it...yet.)

I make noises like that. But it wasn't me. I have an alibi

You need to get a air horn
I am interested in getting myself an Aliner but the thought of doing it all solo is terrifying.
I have not gone camping before.

Thanks for watching, if you decide to do it just make sure you go somewhere that’s not so secluded 😊

Hi Richard, it’s just me and this is my 2010 Aliner Sport model 😊It’s perfect.
Could have been a u f o
I’m not sure which is scarier! 😅
