We have a chalet, same size as yours. Using the water tank is great! We just sanitize it once a year. 2Tablespoons of bleach in a gallon of water poured into tank, fill the tank to the top with water, then drive around for about 10 mins. Then we drain it, refill it and drain and we are good to go for the year.
You should get some really thin solar panels and have it permanently mounted to the roof of the a frame. that when you fold it up, it's all set up to charge your batteries and insure you're never out of power. You could get a really simple solar panel setup with charge controller and everything. Just a thought, cheers :-)

For anyone noticing a lack of a toilet and shower.... Two solutions: Always camp in a RV park that offers those facilities. Or, you can buy an Asymmetrical version of an A-frame that extends out a bit and is squared off on one side. Won't increase room by a huge amount. But gives you a standing square area with a lid that conceals a toilet and enough space to install a shower curtain in a 360-degree almost squared off narrow area. Hand-held shower-head. Your possessions don't get soaked. Obviously the toilet & shower variation are more expensive than the typical A-frame. And, also heavier. So, it depends on what your particular tow-vehicle is rated for. But weight is going to be right around 3,000 pounds for that variation. Nothing wrong with a Hobo Shower using large wipes only. Plus you can get re-usable shower-bags with a shower nozzle. Pair of shower slippers. That option useful in wooded areas away from prying eyes, as you'd need a tree limb to hang the bag from. But yeah, for folks who love the concept but wish it came with a toilet and shower, good news! They make such an option. Even comes with a very usable kitchen area with a sink.

Baby wipes and a bucket with trash liners. (Or a shovel to bury your body waste in more remote places.) There are also truck stops and gym memberships to access showers, solar heated shower bags, pan baths with little water required, lakes and streams. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Just got approved a decent amount for a camper and I just found out about a-liners 😁 thank you for helping me find exactly what I was looking for lol cheers 🍻
A-liner is a brand. Her A-frame is a "Chalet," and scuttlebutt on YT is they're built better than A-Liners (as well as plenty of people who love their A-Liners).
Absolutely adorable, love the lifestyle, very jealous. I hope to one day be able to retire myself and go around the northern Arizona with a Jeep and Aframe. Very awesome.
Since you camp near the water, as you mentioned, the elevation is such that you receive limited light for your solar recharge. (I know the area well, as I live nearby..) Do you not have a small gas generator to provide light (heat from propane, of course)? When the wind is blowing hard from west to east, it (the wind) will carry the sand the from the high crests down to the water like a sand blaster and there is no escaping it. I mention this because I thought of purchasing an A Frame for the same reasons as you, but reviews point out that it is a challenge to prevent drafts, wind and the elements from entering where the roof abuts the walls and stuffing those poorly fitting areas is necessary. Are you experiencing the same problem and if so, how do you solve it.?? Be well, be safe..
@@pjf7943 Hello! Wanting to add my 2 cents. These units have a weather stripping seal that connects from the wall abutting to the ceiling when it is deployed. It surprisingly takes cares of most drafts and elements getting in. Our unit is a Forest River 2014 that I have experience with. Those seals can wear down as any seal does. You just replace it. It self sticks, super easy. For example last camp I noticed light coming through, obviously we need to address that now. At that moment, I rolled a hand towel and tucked it in for a quick fix. We have done camping in rain & wind storms, extreme heat and just last month, below freezing temps. It’s mostly good! In the cold, the one draft I noticed is at the 2 corners of the middle of the door, at the fold. That, we stuck a little cut off piece of magic eraser to not let the cold draft in. As for Slims unit mentioned. His unit was very old and he liked wayyy below freezing temps, far up north, so his weather fighting beast was different and not usual to most. Hence pool noodles. This is not the unit for a full time abode in -40 temps. Not to mention he didn’t seem to utilize the normally installed propane heater which we personally have done in cold. Last, sorry this is long, there is a drafty spot at the front and back hinge fold corners. His unit being way older didn’t have the fabric covers on that hinge fold like they do nowadays to help in that area. He cut up a rug and covered it. When I lift that fabric up I can see the dust, which I think comes in moreso when it’s being towed. Draft? Stick a pillow there. As for rain.... never have we had leaks. Only rain came in was when we left the window open. That part does stink, you can’t have a window cracked during rain. But you can crack open the ceiling fan. Hope this helps! I obviously love our aframe! It’s a niche thing they say. If this helps any.... there is differences in water capacity between units. From 13 gal to 26 gals. As well, the fold can be different heights. Chalets are great for taller, more normal counter height, better on the back. The difference is about the height of having the freezer in the fridge or not. But shorter is a plus for driving time. 🤷♀️
@@SB4E.2 As stated in my previous reply, I have dismissed 'potato peel's' old A-frame... Also, I realize that it is impossible to expect a completely sealed tin can.. Frankly, I won't enjoy tying to level the thing to micrometer measurements and then running around with hand towels & pieces of magic eraser trying to stuff gaps in the design.. Not only that, it looks unsightly & is unnerving to spend serious money only to have patches of rags & sponge plugs to keep the elements from entering, especially the fine talcum dust that is blown around in the desert (yes, I already stated the obvious).. In addition, self-stick seals may apply easily enough, but they also wear easily and removing it is another story... Thank you for your "2 cents", but I will rely on my original impression of being a nice idea that is expensive and 'questionably' executed.... Until they perfect this design, I guess it's back to a cargo trailer build for me... Oh, one last thing, 'potato' doesn't camp in an A-frame any longer.. 'Nuff said.... LOL!
@@pjf7943 Okeydokey! I was just offering my insights. I know he doesn’t have it anymore. He kinda overworked that thing to death. I also felt the egg change was best for him with all that cold camping he does. Got it! We love ours even with its slight imperfections. I live in the desert too. This past Christmas, 9 day camp, lake side, we had a massive dust & wind storm, all dang day. Although the outside looked like the Sahara, there was zero dust inside. That was minus the sponges and rags. 🤷♀️ So what to say? My main love about it is.... lightweight towing, the fact that it does pop down for better towing pluses and can be stored in a garage that way too. Also no canvas in pop up format, which is just my personal preference. Let me throw my neck out here some more... have a peek at Chalet details, maybe this person will answer. Chalets are better quality builds. Bigger price tag too. Any trailer has to be leveled, esp with a propane fridge, so I don’t see the hiccup there. We level it easy enough and love that it can get into little nooks other units cannot. Yep... I am biased.
where did you get that table? the folding one is awesome i am rebuilding an a frame currently i like your setup with the full bed permanently set with the struts... currently mine has the 2 tables
This size there is not one. This size fits in a garage. You can go about 2’ - 3’ bigger and get a wet bath. Of course heavier. That does not fit in an average 19’ garage. We have a garage fitter... and YES! Lots of people put portable toilets inside. We did! Many mods to make awesome. We LoVE ours! Chalet has a taller fold which is nice. We don’t. About 13 gallon water tank. Ours is a Forest River... shorter fold but 26 gallon water tank. We boondock mostly so we appreciate the extra water storage.
We had a spare cupboard under the microwave took the door of hung a curtain on it and Portaloo sits in there, we also have a pop up shower you can have inside or outside, It’s fully sealed has a continuous water recycle in it or you can add a seperate water heater, works fine for us.
@@lynnemcnab76 Oh wow! That sounds handy dandy too! What is this inside shower you are speaking about????? Sounds interesting! Although I don’t mind bucket bathing & outdoor showers... your indoor concept sounds intriguing... please share!!?!! 😊
You actually are living w/less square space than me. I built my own tiny home on wheels & it's 70.4 square feet. It's solid. I like the idea of a gas fridge, I gotta get one of those. I love living off grid, I have my own shower w/hot water. Composting toilet & full size bed, w/ a 52" TV on the wall.
Your camper is very fresh and airy looking. I just have one question. Most A-frame campers have bungee cords to atach the top of the outer rectangular roof sections, but I didn"t see them when you folded your camper. Does your A frame not have them?
Tiny Home Tours I read everyone is asking you the same question about toilet/shower. Are you gonna reply? We would love an update. Love you artwork. Is it for sale? Love your table. You can take it outside for a change of office space.
I also have a chalet a-frame. Some have toilets and showers, some don't. Almost all of them do have an outside shower that works well out in the boonies when no one is around.
This A-Frame camper has been turned into an amazing tiny house on wheels! You don't need an expensive platform to build on, you just need to get after it and make it work for you!

Baby wipes and a bucket with trash liners. (Or a shovel to bury your body waste in more remote places.) There are also truck stops and gym memberships to access showers, solar heated shower bags, pan baths with little water required, lakes and streams. Where there's a will, there's a way.
Very nice, love the simplicity of such a compact space!! You've also made it very charming 🤗
I’m really glad to see an iPad for a setup because I see laptops of variety of sizes but I really like that you can do all your work remotely and from just the IPad that’s great :) that’s something I’m looking to get myself when the next one releases
Pretty sure anything with a physical keyboard is more comfortable though.
@@carcharoclesmegalodon6904 i think it would depend on the type of work you are doing.
Great to see a cute A frame on here. I have one and love it, could definitely live in it if I had to!
Yes she does have a cute frame on her, the camper is nice also. nice casual style without all the flare.
Love it, I need to reconsider the A frame camper. Yours look so peaceful
Looks so satisfying.. Sanders would agree, no? Carpe Diem! Thanks for sharing 😊🙏🏽
that's heaven on earth. wish could've done that when was young enough but is just me & my dog in quarantine now. best possible company. you're a hippie at heart when you can live that way. hat's off to you.🤠
Just got approved a decent amount for a camper and I just found out about a-liners 😁 thank you for helping me find exactly what I was looking for lol cheers 🍻
A-liner is a brand. Her A-frame is a "Chalet," and scuttlebutt on YT is they're built better than A-Liners (as well as plenty of people who love their A-Liners).
Sanders or any dog living this lifestyle is their best life!
Whoa..that school sounds awesome!
Just perfect. We'll done
Absolutely adorable, love the lifestyle, very jealous. I hope to one day be able to retire myself and go around the northern Arizona with a Jeep and Aframe. Very awesome.
Very inspiring! I was thinking of getting something bigger but seeing what you’ve done, makes me rethink that.
Slim potato head used pool noodles for the drafts. Worked. But he has a new rig now.
@@priola7587 I already heard of his remedy, but was was waiting for this young lady to answer as her rig is newer..
What do you do for a bathroom?
Maybe get some battery operated lights for when you don't have solar.
Hello Amy how are you doing!!
Wow...you are a natural beautiful woman and free spiritted with nature. Keep on keeping on 👍👍 BIGGUN'
Love everything about this! Have a blessed journey 💜
where did you get that table? the folding one is awesome i am rebuilding an a frame currently i like your setup with the full bed permanently set with the struts... currently mine has the 2 tables
I would also like to know about the table, looking to work remotely and it seems like a good option for me as well
Love A frames! This is suprising spacious.
I really enjoyed listening to you and I love the simplicity of your life style.Your road home is very cosy and practical 🇨🇦🤗
Is there a portable toilet in the A- frame? Or room for one?
This size there is not one. This size fits in a garage. You can go about 2’ - 3’ bigger and get a wet bath. Of course heavier. That does not fit in an average 19’ garage. We have a garage fitter... and YES! Lots of people put portable toilets inside. We did! Many mods to make awesome. We LoVE ours! Chalet has a taller fold which is nice. We don’t. About 13 gallon water tank. Ours is a Forest River... shorter fold but 26 gallon water tank. We boondock mostly so we appreciate the extra water storage.
We had a spare cupboard under the microwave took the door of hung a curtain on it and Portaloo sits in there, we also have a pop up shower you can have inside or outside,
It’s fully sealed has a continuous water recycle in it or you can add a seperate water heater, works fine for us.
@@lynnemcnab76 Oh wow! That sounds handy dandy too! What is this inside shower you are speaking about????? Sounds interesting! Although I don’t mind bucket bathing & outdoor showers... your indoor concept sounds intriguing... please share!!?!! 😊
@@SB4E.2 comes. In a suitcase, I will find out the name my husband bought it, folds up out of the case which is the base and has recirculating water.
@@lynnemcnab76 Thank you Lynne! I will look forward to that information. Your time to share is appreciated a bunch! That sounds great already!
I love to read to. Proud of you. I'm trying to go traveling like you soon. 👍😎
Where did u get ur table? Love it!!!
I was wondering the same thing. I could use something like that for sure :-)
Can I ask, where did she get that folding wood desk? And that particular iPad stand?
You actually are living w/less square space than me. I built my own tiny home on wheels & it's 70.4 square feet. It's solid. I like the idea of a gas fridge, I gotta get one of those. I love living off grid, I have my own shower w/hot water. Composting toilet & full size bed, w/ a 52" TV on the wall.
How/where do you bathe and go to the bathroom?
let me know keeping warm in like 0 for a week ....be ready never know when a bad storm comes in its happen ...be safe
The dog!
Your camper is very fresh and airy looking. I just have one question. Most A-frame campers have bungee cords to atach the top of the outer rectangular roof sections, but I didn"t see them when you folded your camper. Does your A frame not have them?
Nice camper, but what bout ur shower& toilet or do you use the lake ?
Not many travelers have showers more have toilets tho.
I haven't really considered and A frame. But I'm gonna shop a couple of these.
Glad you found some inspiration! Best of luck looking for your tiny! 🤗
There are links under the video.
Adorable young lady..
Love this! It’s the beautiful big windows and natural light for me
I love your home, so peaceful
I'm so in love 😍
What a blessing to live a life on the road like that! There's just one thing I was wondering about...where's the bathroom? 🤔 (Besides nature)
Love your simplicity..
Propane fridges are awesome
Hey Hey...Neat A-Frame..I have one and was wondering where you got your table ? Have the one that came with the camper, but it's to big and bulky...
SO sorry, I fell a sleep. Run this by me again. LOOKS GOOD, and the camper too.
Hi we have had two Chalets & enjoyed them both....where's your porta potty did i miss that?
I think you are the most clever person l have seen it really beautiful house
