Great feature on Dolores, although I don't think she was only 18 when Linger hit the charts because it was in 1993-1994, and she was born in 1971. I actually saw her perform before they became a household name after the success of Linger and Dreams. I didn't know she lived in Southern Ontario and wrote the songs for her solo album there. No Need to Argue was heavily overplayed on my CD player in 1994-1995, and even up to now. It helped me and soothed me through some challenging times. RIP Dolores. We will miss you but your music will forever live in our hearts.

I appreciate that you are able to express your emotions as a solo artist and leave most of the pressures of being an international superstar behind as it has seemed to have ruined many great artists of your time. However, I speak for many people when I say that your time with the Cranberries inspired so many people, with songs like Zombie that were able to not only hold on to your female fan base but also draw the attention of many others; hard rock fans and metal fans, etc. You should look back at those times with a tremendous amount of pride, and perhaps find it deep within yourself to go out with a bang. Those songs were as much a part of you as they were of the men in your band, whether you believe it or not. Your vocals were full of emotion and melody. There must be a part of you that misses those days, and if you were ever able to reunite with your band and create more of the same amazing music that we all listened to in the 90's, I'm sure it would immediately sky rocket you back to international stardom. You don't have to do lengthy tours, or exhaust yourself with the demands of some fans. Most of us just appreciated the music. We would buy your albums regardless of how much some people might pressure you to tour and advertise your music in other ways. Many of us believe it is worth a shot. Obviously, your destiny is in your own hands, and we respect whatever decisions you make. But for many of us, you are, and will always be, Dolores O'riordan, lead singer of the Cranberries, and we love you!

@guitarraveboy if you knew dolores you wouldnt spend your time writing non sense...her solo carreer was one of the best periods for her and she loved it....she really did it the way she wanted it..she stopped when she wanted to...having a band and making money doesnt mean you will be forever happy...respect to her and of course love her in and out of the band.
Her speaking voice is as beautiful as her singing voice. After her 20 year marriage ended in 2014 is when the downward spiral started which took her life less than four years later. Love her forever.
