2003 playoffs were probably the best ever. This game along with Manning's perfect game against the Broncos, Rams/Panthers double overtime, Chiefs/Colts shootout with no punts, Eagles/Packers with 4th and 26, Titans/Patriots in an overlooked classic, Brady vs Manning AFC championship, and a game winning kick deciding the Super Bowl. It's hard to believe this all happened in the same season.
2003 was all about the New England Patriots! It was a start of a 21 games of winning streaks, winning a super bowl and carrying it into the 2004 season! Incredible!!!!
I love this channel. Other people will post full classic games but I don't have the time to sit down and watch 2-3 hours of a game that happened years ago. This channel is like watching current game highlights on the NFL channel. Edit: All these years I thought Hasselbeck threw the pick 6 on the first play in overtime.
I know how that Fail Mary game is an irritating game, for Packers fans, but at least the lockout was ended because of that game. Silver lining, Packers fans, silver lining... Go 'Hawks!
The 03 Playoffs were wild, this game, 4th & 26, that Double OT game between the Rams & Panthers, Patriots & Panthers SB Shootout, just a bunch of classics.
@@KenFan4life And let's not forget that insane ending to that Vikings vs. Cardinals game on the final week of the 2003 regular season where the Cardinals came from behind to ruin the playoff hopes for the Vikings.
You gotta love Matt, for being so ballsy in this game! Never take your foot off the gas! If you lose, whilst going for the win, at least you can live with yourself at the end of the day... The NFCC game between these two teams is evidence of what can happen, when the foot comes off of the gas... Go 'Hawks!
Unfortunate how it ended for them in Philly. This should have been a magic carpet ride to a championship. I still feel to this day that if they would have held Philly on 4th and 26 they would have beaten the Panthers the following week for sure and went to the SuperBowl.
Ahhh yes, the game where the national narrative started to develop regarding the Packers being a team of destiny since Favre's father recently passed. But then 4th and 26 happened next week.
I remember watching this and cheering for Seattle and then Hasselback says that and at first I thought I heard him wrong.....but no....he said it lol. That made me go "Fuck that guy. Go Pack!"
Regardless of the outcome, two things get lost in this game: it was one hell of a game in what was a matchup of two great teams; and this would start a great NFC rivalry which has had many iconic games and moments since 2003. Side note: I love the confidence Matt Hasselbeck had in saying what he said. I prefer that over a quarterback who has no confidence at all.
I remember watching that game in my teens and remembering Matt Hasselbeck saying we want the ball were score to win that was hilarious that what he gets for being stupid
I remember watching this game and thinking “this is the real NFL”. You hear so many people talk about how they didn’t watch football anymore. I’ve been watching since 3rd grade in the early 70’s. But this game in Green Bay felt timeless. I guess it helps being in the most storied stadium in the NFL🏈
Fox's announcers: Joe Buck, Cris Collinsworth and Troy Aikman. I don't remember complaints about these three to the extent you now read about Buck, Aikman and Collinsworth.
I noticed NFL Throwback consistently chooses games that features the Seahawks were they lost. Could have chosen fail marry game or NFC title game but instead choose this one. When the Seahawks played the Rams they chose the playoff loss from 2004 which I can understand even though the 2013 MNF game could have been played. Then against Detroit they chose some regular season loss for the Seahawks in 2012 vs Detroit, not a playoff win in 2016 or the thrilling MNF game in 2015.
Man hassleback better be happy this didn't take place when social media was around. So many memes would be made on him
You can make a meme now
It’s never to late
Social media was around a little back in that time
Blud, if social media was around..... omg. He would've been getting ROASTED!!!!
kbayj alittle bit of it was around back then, but I know
I still say, “we want the ball and we’re gonna score!” Before overtime games in Madden
Did you loose all the games after saying that? haha
How many games you've lost after saying that? LOL
Do you throw pick-sixes, too?
Jason. All the time lll
We WON the ball and we're gonna score.

goldenraven20 most definitely. The most exciting nfl playoffs I have witnessed.
Don’t forget the Titans/Ravens defensive slugfest
And the Cardinals beating the Vikings in week 17 on the last play to allow the Packers into the playoffs to begin with

@@1990Thunderbolt yes what a streak of cheating
Well he did throw for a score!
For the other team
Lol true
TheSportsGamer he won the game for the other team lol 😂
Oh look, Matt is correct
*BUT HE PLAYS FOR THE OTHER TEAM!*
*CAN I GET A MCPICK SIX! BADABABABA!*
In other words, it fell into the wrong hands

I remembered it the same way! I thought Hasselbeck did it first drive!
Nostalgic
Man throwback always have an Iconic game by two current teams playing
Narrator: They did not score.
Thats the joke
Light Yagami that’s the joke
I read that in my head as Morgan Freeman. 😂
Nostalgic
As a Packer fan, thank you NFL Throwback, for posting the highlights of this game, and not the Fail Mary game.
Packers played it well back then to be honest!
I know how that Fail Mary game is an irritating game, for Packers fans, but at least the lockout was ended because of that game.
Silver lining, Packers fans, silver lining...
Go 'Hawks!
Hawks fan here, I love every game we play against Green Bay. It’s always been interesting
I love this game but then 4th and 26 happened...
Stop crying and bitching packer fans about that win in Seattle. The refs made that call. Not Seattle players.
And then 4th and 26 happened the following week.
Rip Green Bay
Yeah we need that replay to get uploaded.

Fly Eagles Fly!!
11 years later, the officials asked Russell Wilson if he wanted another Super Bowl Ring and he said "Naw, I'll pass."
Great one 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol literally passed 😂
Matt Hasselbeck: We want the ball and we're gonna score.
Al Harris: You were saying?
War eagle
LOL! One of the most infamous games in playoff history! I had such a good guffaw when that game ended.
Ha! True but Gary Coleman was still probably the best basketball player ever
Thank you, this was football was so great.
Judas PRIEST for ever. Great album too. Screaming for vengeance 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I would considered Seattle, and Green Bay an Underated Rivalry, and I feel this is the game that started it All
I agree. At least three playoff classics already

The Packers have been blessed with back to back HOF QB's! In the last 30 years they've only had 2 QB's.
You mean only 2 Superbowls.
@@joeruiz4010 No stupid I said 2 QB's. Can you not read? 🤦♂️
There's a meme from SpongeBob said "A few moments later" that led to the touchdown for the Packers from NFL on FOX on Instagram 😂
What Hasselbeck meant to say was "We want the ball, and we're gonna score for the other team."
I was 13 when I saw this game it’s krazy that I watch it then see Matt throw pick at the end of game
Same here , packers had wesley wall's that year a great tight end all time
Eric Sigersmith I miss these good ol days of football
I feel like all Seahawks QBs throw a pick-6 on the left side of the field...
I screamed so loud on that pick six I lost my voice for 2 days. No joke. 🤣🤣🤣 what an awesome game to have witnessed.
I was at this game. Had to keep my beer in my coat to keep it from freezing.
Brett Favre played football like he was 10 years old. It was so fun watching him play.
My kid grew up with brett qbing the packers. It was kinda a shock when he left.
Oh the memories. The Packers are my life.
Them and my auburn tigers
One of the most funniest moments in NFL History

"We I want the ball and I'm going to throw it right to Al Harris"
Hahaha, you killed it! :))
Epic game. I remember watching this.
Don't forget about Al Harris' snot-stache in the post-game interview. Great times
12:15 HEADS!!!! LOL 😂
Seattle has won the toss.
We want the ball and we’re gonna score.

Way to go green bay like the style way to go always a classic to watch really enjoy and appreciate you guys thanks for the memories

I remember watching this with my dad, as Favre fans, it was one of the best moments in Packers history!
Underrated: hearing Bernie Kukar's thick MN accent - "elbow was doan on the groand, fourth doan"

Back when the nfl was wayyy more smashmouth physical with 2 great backs and 2 good offensive lines going at it
Matt Hassebeck “We want the ball and they’re gonna score”
I always love hearing the NFL Fox theme at the beginning of those videos.
Same!
@@NFLVault go pack go , put up the 1997 nfc title game when they made back to back super bowls

The game that made the Seahawks my 2nd favorite team ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
*On this day:* Hasslebeck taught others, as well as himself, a small lesson in humility.
Those Seahawks teams in the early 2000s man
Such a euphoric moment and then 4th and 26 the next weekend if I remember correctly? Life of a GB Packers fan.
They kept showing Mike McKenzie at the end like he's Al Harris.
Both were solid pros just not hall of famers
Pick six aside, Seattle didn't score on their first possession. That's really the extent of Hasselbeck's declaration.
Fuck the Fail Mary, the NFC Championship Game onside kick, and whatever happens tonight! 12:18 is the greatest Packers/Seahawks moment of all time!
This was my first Packers game ever I was only 7 😂😂😂

13:58 What a throw! With all that pressure he managed to complete that pass.
03 Packers were so underrated.
They were a 4th & 26 away from going to Charlotte to play the Panthers in the NFC Title Game...a reverse of their 96 matchup in GB
Grady jackson was a beast that year
Hasselbeck was half right. There was a score.

Ahman Green is the best GB running back Ive ever seen (following the league since 1990)
I was too young to feel the devastation of this loss, but this is funny as F. Every time the hawks play in OT I hope someone says this again.
Is this stadium last weekend Aaron Rodgers was beat into retirement
Can you upload Falcons Packers from the 2002 playoffs please?
Yeah. You got the ball you scored. But you threw it to the wrong side
Mike McKenzie and al Harris were both underrated players and darren sharper helped the saints win in 2009
Thankfully, Sharper will never be a HOFer.
Lmao him egeune Robinson and Darren sharper Leroy Butler were still best saftey trio ever in 1997
