I remember this game was on Christmas Eve at my Aunts house watching Packers beat Vikings. Unfortunately a couple weeks later I was on a cruise ship that didn’t have a deal with FOX so couldn’t watch wildcard game. I can’t believe how many Packers fans were on that cruise and got captain to find a signal or something to get it on TV. We were all in main lounge around the TV waiting for a signal and it finally came just in time to see Randy Moss catch his famous TD in which he mooned the crowd. I left, I didn’t want to see no more than that. How do you beat a team twice 34-31 only to lose 31-17. Idk?

It’s so irritating how many times the Packers underachieved with Rodgers and Farve.
95: They’re the hottest team in the NFL, they clobber SF in the Divisional Round and have the chance to upset Dallas. Until after leading into the 4th Quarter, Favre pulls a Favre and chokes it away.
97: 13-3 and Super Bowl Champions. Repeat as NFC Champions are matchup against the Wild Card Broncos. Green Bay doesn’t play their best game, don’t use Dorsey Levens enough and lose a game they should have won. Even Reggie White went on and said they didn’t play their best that game. Were to overconfident.
01: Holmgren is gone, but a lot of the talent is still there, especially on defense. Defense played great in the playoffs. Problem was Farve looked like a deer in the headlights and turned it over 6 times. Defense was keeping St. Louis under control but all the picks just made it to far to overcome.
02: The team is bit by the injury bug but Farve is playing his best ball since 98. Has the chance to clinch the #1 seed but loses to the Jets. Drops to the 3 seed vs Atlanta. Mike Sherman rests multiple defensive starters and Mike Vick runs all over a second string defense.
      03: 4th and 26
07: Favre is playing well in a cold, hard fought game. If he wins this, he gets back to the Super Bowl for the first time in 10 years. He could pull the upset in the Super Bowl and ride off into the sunset. And then Favre pulls a Favre and losses in heartbreaking fashion.
11: Now with Aaron Rodgers, they win the Super Bowl and are 15-1. They look like the class of the NFL. So they rest their starters the second half vs the Bears and then the last game vs the Lions. They then have a bye week and look rusty in their Divisional Game vs the Giants. Defense can’t stop the deep ball thanks to the loss of Nick Collins to his career ending injury. Packers being rusty ruins their chance of going back to back.
12-13: Underachieving defense and Kaepernick=Green Bay playoff loss.
14: Don’t wanna talk about this one.
15: Loss of Jordy Nelson exposed McCarthy’s offense and Green Bay only wins 4 more games after going 6-0. After Rodgers carrying the team into the playoffs, he carries them in the playoffs into overtime vs Arizona. Then that bad defense shows up again.
16: A cheap shot on Jordy Nelson takes him out vs the Giants and by the Championship, the team is gassed. Without Adams and Nelson, the offense couldn’t do much.
19: Rodgers doesn’t show up vs San Francisco and looks incredibly poor. Probably right there with the 2010 NFC Championship as one of his worst playoff games.
20: Defense is getting turnovers but Rodgers isn’t capitalizing. Has a 3rd down at the goal line with a chance to take the lead. Has a wide open lane to the end zone. Doesn’t run and instead dumps it for a minuscule gain. That was the moment to say “I’m Aaron Rodgers and this is my house.” Could have John Elwayed into the end zone but he played conservative. Feel this loss is all on Rodgers.
Let’s hope this year goes better.

Teams that go into the playoffs with a .500 or worse record have done surprisingly well for themselves once they get there. Despite being swept by Green Bay in the regular season and only going 8-8, the Vikes would go on to win the threematch in Lambeau. Seattle knocked off the defending champs, the Saints, in 2010, after going 7-9. Carolina defeated the (to be fair, essentially quarterbackless) Cardinals in 2014 after going 7-9.

Yes, I know that Minnesota would go on to upset gb in the following week. That being said, the Mike tice vikings are one of the most INFURIATING and PATHETIC regimes in recent memory!
Sooooooo much Talent, and Opportunities for success, wasted!
In this particular game, they were blessed with a 4th quarter pick six at home, to take the division crown, and redeem themselves for allowing gb to steal it from them, off the back of their UGLY collapse, after starting the year 6-0 the prior season. Yet, like clockwork in the Tice era, Minnesota always sculpted a method for inexplicable FAILURE...

Was at this game with my Dad (GO PACK GO). Was a lot of fun. Best part about this game is when the Vikes took the lead in the 4th quarter and we were getting all sorts of crap from the Viking fans there, and we were obviously out numbered. I will admit the Packers had a hill to climb so I understand why the Viking fans were so confident. But looking back, since we came back and won, it was fun to get all that crap just to watch them leave as the losers! When Packers got in FG range at the end and it was all but certain the Pack was going to win..... it was fun to watch MANY MANY of the Vike fans leave before the kick even happened. They just started leaving LOL. When the VIkes went up in the 4th... one Vike fan was giving my dad so much crap. Not swearing or anything...he thought he was being "friendly" in his crap giving... but he just wasnt letting up. I think he finally realized he was giving him too much crap when he said sorry to my dad and no matter what happens we will shake hands at the end. He said that when the Vikes went up in the 4th thinking his team was going to win. Guy was sooooo gone and no where to be found when it Packers got the edge about to kick the game winning FG! No hand shake for me dad LOL. Was a lot of fun.

A few observations... 1, Culpepper would have been the MVP that year if Peyton hadn't thrown for 49 TDs. 2, Joe Buck was absolutely dreadful, just no life in his voice. 3, I forgot how much I could not stand Mike Tice
