This guy and his band are REAL MUSICIANS!!! In this amazing song gave a big chance to his piano player and he HIT IT BIG!!!! THIS GUY IS AMAZING!!! AND THE BEST PART WAS WHEN I SAW THAT HE WAS PLAYING A REAL HAMMOND ORGAN AND HITTING THE KEYS AS GOOD AS JIMMY SMITH (RIP), AND CORY, THAT WEST MONTGOMERY SOUND WAS SUPERB. HIS MUSIC, HIM AND HIS BOYS MADE ME HAPPY EVERYTIME I HEARD, YES HEARD THEM!!!! THIS SONG WAS THE DINNER OF MY SOUL.....
Had no idea this gig was going to record and i was there. They did a great job with the mixing because live at the event Vincen's bass was tearing down the whole venue and it was glorious.
Thank you Cory for a wonderful gig. I now carry around the image of your confident swagger when you lead your band out that night. Grooving to _Bombastic_ in the low light. Taking centre stage, arms wide and 'conducting' to the 20th Century Fox Fanfare. The brass section start, Cory spins round. Straight into _Assassin_ played to a T and, of course, 20% faster! Thank you for my first Wong/Vulfpeck live experience after I fell in love with Vulf in 2023 and thinking 'I need to follow these guys'. (And yes! I was aware that Theo was performing in London the following night and I *didn't see him* and it's something I deeply regret!). See you again, when you return to the UK!
Laterally mesmerizing. A hush came over the audience when they started that sweet soulful sound. The people and myself are mesmerized. These guys are musical geniuses
I like how (fitting to the genre) most of the band plays pretty diatonic, a lot of pentatonic scales in soloing etc. and Kevin Gastonguay most of the time is the only one who really goes 'out' while soling (or when just playing support actually) though here he keeps it pretty simple.
Nice to see Kevin playing (and how!) a real Hammond B-3 (or is it an A-100?) with a Leslie rotating speaker behind him - modern plugins and digital modelling are really good, but there's no substitute for the real thing. And Cory channeling mid-'70s Lee Ritenour with all that palm-muted phase/flange rhythm stuff, excellent.
Since you guys were in the UK last autumn, I've bought a car. That means, next time you come, I won't have to leave before the end of the gig to catch the last miserable coach home. Hurray! Soooo... when you coming back?!
you have to wonder how many of these live videos cory has in the backlog, cuz from what it looks like, the band's outfit and the cory wong logo in the back seem like the same one they put on around 5-8 months ago, implying this could be from around that time; complete with vincen being the bassist (i think yohannes tona is the bassist for the next tour but im not sure)
What cymbal/crash uses Petar at the begining of the tune ? It gives an "electro flavor". What is it called ?I'd realy love to buy one for my drummer... Thanks for your answers 😊
Great performance!. However the camera made me dizzy. Ryan Lerman did a lot better for Vulfpeck in MSG with an iphone than Jacob who had professional equipment.
Man I just can't take the constantly rotating camera anymore. Love the music. But the motion is just sooo unnecessary and distracting. I want to see the players, not wobbling snippets and crops of them. I don't think the motion makes the music more exciting, but is certainly more distracting. The fantastic music is enough stimulation. Please.........
I travelled 16000 km to see this show. Worth every penny!
More people need to listen to Cory and his band. They've GOT the funk!
The bass player has great discipline. Keeps it in the pocket and the licks are very tasteful. Great talent.
I agree, and the whole band is that way. They are all serving the song perfectly. Sooo good!
He was flown in pretty last minute for this tour too, had to learn all the songs in no time.
I was afraid we all abandoned this style! Reminds me of my GRP days, so happy I rediscovered my old friend!!!
One of the sexiest tunes ever written

i see ma man turning up hahaha

I want to apologise to all the people who's view I blocked standing in the front there.
lol
Bastard 😂
6'4 here, can relate even when sitting down lol
Very enjoyable. Nice solo and tasteful fills.

See you again, when you return to the UK!
I cried most of Theo's set my first time seeing his solo project 😅
This just soundtracked washing the dishes and there was water flying everywhere thanks to the sheer amount of funk. A lovely time was had by all.
The cleanest licks, the shakiest videography
Mannnn that’s one of my favorite songs on the album, I love the soprano guitar duet on this version!
Kevin's organ solo is 🔥
Laterally mesmerizing. A hush came over the audience when they started that sweet soulful sound. The people and myself are mesmerized. These guys are musical geniuses
What a great built solo ❤ 7:04
I listened to the entire show on Spotify today and this one was my favorite! So good!!
Love this jam! So tasteful and clean. The whole band kills it!🤘
Dear friend your man on keys Kevin Gastonguay, is really great.

This man always uploads what I need whenever I want

The Steely Dan vibes are strong in this one. Smooth as silk and fonky af! 👍
love that organ solo
Nice and tight everyone sounds great, especially the bass.
this is cool in the extreme
That snare in that room; that reverb tail. Oh man
The best musicians feel the music.
That snare reverb is sufficiently delightful
The Horn Heads are playing this in the key of E. That's just nuts.
Favorite tune on the album!
One more thing....
For the one who upload this video, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME AND SHARING!!!!
KINDEST REGARDS,
MARTIN SORDO RIVAS
They really sound like SPYRO GYRO!!! "Morning dance" "Catching the sun"
KEVIN JUST SOUNDED LIKE JIMMY SMITH ON HIS HAMMOND ORGAN.
Man I wouldve loved if the concert had acceptance and look at me, but this is a killer performance, vincen is insane
They set the atomic clock to Petar’s drumming.
Such a good song, such a good band.
Vincen Garcia is the best
this^
Totally. Vincen over Sonny too.
@@olvinjanoisin2255a bold, but moving statement...
So funky, a perfect start to my day ❤ ty Cory
The Cleans are Great

yeah !
I was there for this show, and the crazy thing (other than how good Cory was)? The next night caught Theo at the Electric Brixton.
Alto batero, preciso y con sutilesas.
Thanks cwong
I woz ere 2023!! 😅 Amazing gig.

Nice music 🔥
Uuuuur a fkinnng legeeeeend
🥺See U in Shanghai next month!
The amount the bass cabinet shakes on the pedestal is somehow scary 😱
Really enjoyed this.
Great show, vinyl ordered. Now Stratman, when are you back in the UK? :)
It was a great show!
I was there!

Clapstack
Thank you @@edvrandall 😊
Is Cory performing with a cast on his right foot? „That’s alright, Cory!“ (Shout out to Michael B!)
he flaminging
The video description lists Negah Santos but she's nowhere to be seen (or heard) as far as I can tell. Mistake in the description/credits?
She wasn't on the 2023 European tour (or at least, the UK part of it).
I bet this means a new live album is coming soon.
It's on Spotify!
Flamengo
Looks like guitar and bass are both going through a Wong compressor pedal =o
Great performance!. However the camera made me dizzy. Ryan Lerman did a lot better for Vulfpeck in MSG with an iphone than Jacob who had professional equipment.
Tighter than Dick’s hatband.
Conor McGregor smashing it on the sax.
Everyone looks great in their p.j,s
Look like sloppy ups drivers to me! 😂😂😂. Where's Cory's striped shirt?!
I wanted to buy this on cd but he never does stuff in that format. Really annoying.
Wasn't this in Paris?

Nice. Oh, so very NOICE!
Now we need a collab (or remix) of this from Flamongosis 🦩
