@@consulentecomunicazionestr3072Serves me right!! I took guitar and drum lessons at a local music shop, and I got into Berklee with drumming as my principal instrument. I chose that because I completely suck on guitar. Well, when I got there to sign up for classes other students told me no one comes to Berklee to drum and that I should switch to guitar if I could. I did, and while I am glad I studied some guitar for a year, I still suck at guitar. I am thinking of going back to drumming if I can sort out some arthritic issues in my hands.
I'll tell you what.... I'm looking this dude up right now and next the Bass player. The whole thing is kind of hard to believe.

I used to be jealous and intimidated by this cat, but I grew up and now I’m inspired and motivated by him. What a great leader and example of how good we can be. At 72 my playing got energized by Matteo. Love to meet him and congratulate him. ✝️
And he's still a young guy! Imagine how his playing will progress over the decades!
I once had a stroke, and I was trying to relearn how to play the guitar. I took lessons from Kerry Mott who taught me jazz. I was struggling to get back good again so I was jealous, but the dude still taught me. He's a great guitarist millionaire who stays out of the lime light. He's a good dude. He can cover anyone. I've even seen him cover Frank Gambale and play just as well as him. I regained my skills to. I can play this. But , I'm a fan of this guy. He's remarkable.
@Nherdvous I grew up in the 60's and 70's. By the time I was 12 years old, I could play it all, but, I experienced a stroke when I was 17 years old, and I had to relearn how to play the guitar. It was a nightmare.

It's not "just scales" as someone is saying, it's the dance among pentatonic-diatonic-chromatic, the phrasing. Whoever loves Parker or Django or Coltrane or early Martino or Holdsworth etc. can easily relate to this style
You can tell that these three have been playing together for a while and know how to communicate well when jamming. Very nice
this is nuts...one of my fav jazz tunes and in the top 3 best renditions ever IMO. and to think these dudes are just jamming at NAMM. freaking insane. level 1 billion

Watched them live two weeks ago at their first live in the US. These guys are unreal and so in sync. Wish them so much luck. Italian talents is not just Sanremo bullshit..

This is yet another example of how many levels of musicianship there are out there. Not to take any thing away from those musicians who achieved commercial success, but these guys are technically on a very high level!!!
Commercial success has less to do with musicianship and more to do with post production editing
Rock musicians are on average technically bland, stylistically as well. That's why the traver baker's are so popular
Jazz musicians are on average the opposite... Proficient and exciting to listen to

Non conosco Matteo Mancuso di persona,ma a vederlo,mi sembra un bravo ragazzo.Mi ricorda molto me stesso,quando avevo la sua età.La differenza tra me e lui però ,e’ che io non ho mai suonato così:veloce,preciso e bene;come fa’ lui.(io ho studiato da solo e di nascosto,… purtroppo..!).Complimenti davvero.La sua abilità,e’ frutto di un dono innato,o pre natale,di grandi passione,studio ed esercizio fin da tenera età,da quanto ho capito.Ha avuto la fortuna di avere un padre chitarrista,di essere stato incoraggiato.Sento nelle sue armonie,suono,e corde,l’influenza di moltissimi chitarristi,come Andy Summers,John Mc Laughlin,Pat Metheny,e molti altri grandi.E questo è un bene prezioso,ed una grande fortuna,per lui.Un solo appunto.A mio parere,dovrebbe creare qualcosa di più “orecchiabile”,una o più ”hit”… .Meno velocità,e più melodia;in modo che finito di ascoltarlo,si possa tornare a casa e fischiettarne il motivo.Dopo di ciò,sarebbe davvero tra i più grandi chitarristi,per sempre.Umilmente e cordialmente,Felix Maritano( i regni del nulla).

Every time I see and hear him play all i can do is smile. And I love the whole band, they're all great musicians. I keep saying it he is the best there is and likely the best there ever was. And it's not only me smiling, just look at the faces of people watching them.
