I will be doing Marion’s Crispy Pork Belly roast again this Xmas. I think my family would disown me at this point I turned up without it at this point. Just wouldn’t be Christmas without it. 💖

I will take a Prime rib or roasted pork loin over turkey or ham for the holidays. I prefer a good roast pork loin over a steak any day.

The pork belly roast is my favorite. I think I might make this for New Years. It's hard finding good cuts in U.S. because we are unsophiscticated lazy cooks and if you live outside the city, finding a good butcher is impossible. Australian lamb particularly is very inaccessible, but American Lamb is less gamey tasting. Either way it is priced so over the top. I really envy the English and Australians and the availability for these cuts of meat.

I made that pork roll a couple of years ago, it was perfection, best thing I've ever cooked. But I had to get both my parents involved in order to tie up the roll tightly enough, otherwise it kept falling apart, no idea how you did that by yourself 😅😅

You said you could use really any fruit for the ham glaze. How would you use cranberries? I know you can get cranberry juice, but what would you substitute the jam/jelly for? I've never seen cranberry jam or jelly. Could you use a jellied cranberry sauce? I would be interested in knowing. Thank you!

I pull out the blade as far as it will go, clean it with soap and water and then dry it really well before putting it back up so it doesn't start to rust.

The gravy for the pork belly roast sounds just wonderful! I am almost never bothered by food prep, but the skinning of the ham was just disturbing! Probably, because I was just watching. Also, we always had turkey or roast beef for Christmas---that old British stock here in the USA. Rum truly makes me ill-- so do you have an alcoholic substitute for the rum in the ham glaze? For the miso sauce on the lamb, why don't you add the honey first, as it seems that would make mixing easier. And could you use canned tomatoes instead of fresh; it is very hard to get good fresh tomatoes here in the northern USA at Christmas.

Thanks for gluten free. I find that often times so little needs to be done to make things gluten free, and for god knows what standards it isn't. Like, where I live, there's some sort of expanded corn stuff, looks similar to chitos, but never had chitos, so can't confirm it's the same thing, this one is with peanuts, and it's soooo good, you lick the traces of peanuts from your fingers when you're done. Anywho, it for some unknown reason contains gluten. It would take them minimum effort to convert that into gluten free product, but not as little as smacking on the label "with grains that contain gluten"... I wonder if I could make that thing at home... Anyway, you probably can find it in Balkan shops in bigger cities in america, ask for Smoky - it has nothing to do with smoke, as name is in Serbian, and means nothing - you won't regret it if you try it. Provided you can eat gluten, and it's fresh, when it's stale it's not even passably good, it sucks
