That is a huge step up from my first bike, a Hyosung GT650R, aka Suzuki GT650. Looks like it would be a handful for a novice rider. But that exhaust note is so beautiful. Loved the ride along, awesome review. You have just saved me from making a big mistake and I am pretty sure I am going to my local dealer this weekend and buying a new bike...again! I may be divorced by Monday🤙
great vid, cheers for the info, I’ve had a CBR250RR (the old 90s one that revs to 18k) for about 9 months (first bike), and after moving it on I want something more responsible, safe and new... will definitely test drive this
Great review. I'm about to start looking for a new bike, and the Street Triple RS is out of my budget. I hadn't thought to give this a look before watching this.
@@gr8gratz724 in Perth, but I'll definitely put it on the list. The torque figures (especially for the weight) seem to be on par with other bikes I'm looking at, so outright top end power isn't an issue.
I had a 2010 Street Triple R. Could not fault it. Except for the seat. Might have had something to do with my 105kg frame though. First bike, 1980 Kawasaki Z250
Man I wish these things were learner legal in the U.K! We get limited to 125cc, thankfully I only rocked a 125 for 8 months. Filmed the RS version of this a while ago, such a nice machine.
Oh wow I thought they were! It’s probably not a bad thing though considering how much go this has. Restricted to 125 is pretty gnarly though! So keen to take the RS out holy shite!
First bike is one of these! Yeah, a bit older, but it's stunning! Just stuck an SC exhaust on it to make more noise in traffic. Looking forward to trying that out in the morning!
How much hp are you allowed to have in Australia with the learners license? In the EU there are 3 different licenses.. and I think that with the equivalent license for the australian learners you are allowed to have 35kw in Europe
Thanks heaps bro! Welcome to Sydney! This was through the Royal National Park (Nasho) - but there’s also the Old Pacific Hwy, Putty Rd and Macquarie Pass. They’re all bangers
Hey, great review! Was wondering if the new trident lams was also just gonna be lightly restricted? Like once I move on from my Ps I can derestrict the bike for the full power version in other parts of the world?
Started on a suzuki boulevard 650 last year. On a 900 Vulcan now. Gonna customize it this winter (usa). Had to have a long haul bike, but I’m gonna make it look more aggressive than a cruiser normally would haha!
Would you be able to share with me where you found your brake fluid rezervoir for your scrambler. I have the same one and would love to get rid of that pee cup!
@@MotoFeelz how do you find the seat height?.. im 6'1 and worried about it feeling to cramped...although the specs say the seat height is 10mm higher then previous models
My first bike was a 1982 Honda cm200 🤣. I paid $400 for it. 😂🤣😅. My first ‘new’ bike was the Street Scrambler which I’m absolutely loving. But there is something about the sound of that triple that’s just 🤤. Maybe a second bike wouldn’t be a bad thing 🤔
2nd 3rd 4th where does it stop? Haha. How good are first bikes. I seriously don’t know how mine survived that long. YES for the SS and yea man - the triple have their own thing going on. Can’t wait to take out the RS 😬
i was expecting 4 sec 0-100 kms/h 😂i got husky 401 for my first bike which i think it’s quicker than this street triple due to the fact that it has light weight ratio.
My first bike was a ZX6R, rode around in that for about 7 months before getting caught by cops for riding high powered motorcycle on learners so now I'm looking for the next best thing, funny enough I'm used to power and never fell off the ZX6R, I crashed smaller CC bikes but never dropped or even come close to low siding my ZX6R, I'm a car enthusiast so speed isn't anything new to me, so I'm looking to get the Street 660 and tuning it with a air filter and exhuast, I don't care about cops anymore
@@Drunk0nCustard ended up getting a 2012 R1 instead because it was cheap, but currently using my GC8 WRX right now due to bad weather, still got 1 more year left before I go on my R class but never been caught yet, been pulled over once but that was because I was flapping my legs like a duck on the highway while riding with a group so he just gave me warning for that
Looks like a very nice starter bike! Thanks for letting me ride along with you. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us.
Absolute pleasure man! Thanks for watching 🙏🙏

Juat stepped up from a 2022 Z400 to one of these and its just unreal. Feels so much better built, refined, and a lot safer than the z400. Love it!
After getting my licence last year i bought this bike and i love it as my first bike.
That's awesome to hear! I have a mate who just bought one as his 2nd bike after his XSR700.

Well worth the test ride man. I’d love to see how it goes derestricted. It already felt so nice through the corners
If you’re in Sydney drop by and take her for a spin mate!

Great to hear man! It's a damn banger!
GS500 for 5 months, now a my18 Triumph Street triple S 660......had her for a month or so and absolutely love and adore it 😉

Cheers for the review. Tossing up between this and the CB650R for my first bike as a Learner
I'd say get this haha
im in the same boat as you mate....I think the triumph will be more commuter /longer cruises friendly

great review and what a bike
just moved to Sydney, where can i find those nice country twisties you were enjoying?

I'm looking at getting a LAMS street triple but I also think your right, if I hadn't started on my crappy virago this would be a handful
get it yet?
Thinking of buying one as a first bike
Excellent review it looks a sweet ride , how does it compare to the new Trident 660 ( is the gearing as short ?)
How would you rate this compared to a mc22 cbr250rr?
This is the street I ride on everyday ,it’s right next to triumph sydney
This is literally the wall of Triumph Sydney haha

I just wondering why my bike s high RPM blue light on around 2500RPM but yours is not ?

Nice man they look like a solid bike to do some solid miles on. Good luck customizing it man! I’m sure it’ll look dope once done 🤙
How's this bike compared to an mt07?
My first bike was a Speed Triple 1050 R 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is true
While the rest of the world tells me to startup with a small bike...I see this...and iam like WTF
Mine to 🤣
Same! A 2017 speed S lol
How would this bike compare to an MT07?
As a new rider this scares me. Will not get it as my first bike. Will keep my sight on the Vitpilen 401 instead.
Would you be able to share with me where you found your brake fluid rezervoir for your scrambler. I have the same one and would love to get rid of that pee cup!
Pretty sure it’s just a British Customs one man 🤙
What road was that when you took the bike on the twisties
Garie Beach rd man
Street triple s is 660 not 675?
thoughts of taking this to track
how good is the national park ride
I love it so much

I mean isnt it a fully faired bike

Varadero125 first bike.....still my bike.....#COVIDproblems
Definitely not a first bike, I had a 300 before buying one. This things a rocket! Love it ✌️
Sounds like my leaf blower mate.
Haha I don’t doubt it
Save $3000, use that money to move to the US, then by the street triple RS for $12,500 or less. Great starter bike
