I think one of my bikes will be getting the chop next year for one of these! I’m just waiting to hear more about the rumoured 1160 speed triple... Great vid, chops. That 360 camera work is amazing! They are naughty bikes, you’re right. I had to get rid of my RS as my license was in serious jeopardy. They’re truly amazing bikes at a tremendous value.
Quick correction, the new RS does NOT have an IMU or anything lean angle sensing. It's just more sophisticated algorithms applied to the wheel speed sensors from last year's model...
Love the "side car" cam, great for wheelies and showing suspension action. Although the helmet cam is still best for giving an impression of actually riding. Street triples certainly seem like a lot of bike for the money, and with a performance envelope that can really be explored rather than the ridiculous excess that a lot of the current crop of machines provide. Unfortunately I'm somewhat addicted to ridiculous excess, especially of torque. I just wish there were more 1300cc v-twins on the market, or close equivalents (maybe a supercharged or turbocharged parallel twin @800cc with a 270 degree crank).
Just had my 2013 written off in the ice. Used to having abit of traction control in the wet and this didn't have it. Can't wait to get the 2020 next year

You wrung its neck considerably more than other reviewers -- thanks! I shudder to think what you would've done in fairer weather -- probably would've gotten censored by RUclips as "bike review porn"! Much of the riding experience is emotional, and your passion came through in spades. I ride a 2010 Anniversary Speed Triple, which I've "improved", turning it into a "naked Daytona 1050", with clip-on bars, racing rearsets, full exhaust, remap, sliders all-around, and other things. It's still going strong, but as the years go by, I think I'd try a lighter bike, which could well be a Street Triple RS. Also thanks for making sure the engine sound comes through clearly and in sync with the video, which added greatly to the "almost like being there" experience. By the end of the vid, I actually felt some rider fatigue (in a good way), even though I was only watching. Excellent work!
I had a Street RS when my Speed was being serviced. It’s so flickable it made me a naughty rider. I was pleased to get back on the Speed for sensible planted riding.

But has the Street Triple RS enough power? Any suggestion or advice? (test ride is not possible at the moment here in southern germany because of the weather conditions) Thank you..!!
I have just bought a 2017 street triple RS fully kitted out with Yoshi system and other goodies. OMG what a machine ECU has been re-mapped and it goes like a bloody Rocket, it took me a while to get used t the modes and quick shifter but it's sooooo much fun. 👍🏍️

Bought the 2019 street triple r lrh.. all I can say is it is wow it’s insane. I know a lot of bikes are faster but man this bike is awesome. Best of all it’s comfortable
I love this bike! 😎 Since I did a testride last weekend, I’m thinking of it day and night! It’s very light and nimble, like you said Chops. The quickshifter is amazing and past 6000 revs the Triple really opens up! The exhaust booms when you gun it, it’s egging you on to go faster! Naughty indeed! And those tyres (SuperCorsa) are just a blessing, sticky as hell! And it’s 3500€ cheaper than the previous model ! Damn, I want one so bad 😳 Damn you, Triumph! 😁
Raju Ravi R If you want to pay less but keep the power, get the R (118hp) ! Same engine but little less power. The S is a 660cc with only 95hp. The RS is full power with 125hp but it has all the bells and whistles. I bought the RS some weeks back, it’s amazing!
We are of about same weight 260 lbs , a under 750cc bike that throttle wheelies amazing! You're having too much fun on that little beast. If Triumph could just put a little more cc and have the DNA of this 675 towards the speed triple, now we would have best of street fighter. Great review 👍👍
Cracking review Chops...... looking forward to seeing you try out the Speed Triple RS? Now that thing is a weapon, 1050 power, single sided bling - very tasty!

amazing review Mr chop! I recently found your channel and I really like to watch your reviews. I have test ridden the 2019 model. but this made me do naughty illegal things on the road. really nice bike!
Never heard of you before or have I seen the 360 cam but what a great all up review: I’ve owned four of the original T150 triples and currently have an X75 Hurricane: owned and (amateur) raced three S1000RR’s, two were road registered but got sick of being bored riding under 200kph on the road (it costs too much here in Oz) so bought an M8 Harley Breakout and tickled it a bit to 110 rwhp (I’m 64 so pffft) also own a Norton Hi Rider and 1975 BMW R90s... Didn’t know Triumph upped the ante with this new one (apparently 129hp at the wheel if you decat em) I can see one in my garage parked next my HD which probably wouldn’t get ridden much if I bought one of these... the other three are in my loungeroom so I can look at them. Good stuff bloke and another subscriber, cheers.
That was a great review! Only criticism, it was released after I went for a demo test ride. Rode one of these on Saturday as part of the Triumph Sydney demo day. I was (a little) late turning up and was first cab off the rank to ride it so had no time to get a run down on the features. Wish I’d known about the quick shifter and had time to fiddle with the TTC and wheelie control. In sport mode it would clutch up and power up wheelie in third gear with ease. I was very surprised that the wind buffeting is far (drastically) less than that experienced on the Tiger Sport. I love my TS but, it ain’t got shit on the Speed Triple for WOW factor!
Alexander Sinco full service history plus oil and filter half way in between just like old bike, yeah she’s been fine only odd part here and there across the tile I’ve had her, only time she’s been off road is really from mods or bent wheels etc etc, all good now but she’s away getting a tweak as we speak
I just traded my 2019 Speed Triple RS for the 2020 Street Triple RS. Side by side comparison for over an hour and the Street just beats it in handling & braking every time. Speed Triple is nice and stable on the Motorways whereas the Street is better everywhere else. Depends what you're after, I like the improved midrange of the Street, that did it for me in the end. A true uncomplicated middleweight very smoooooth street fighter.
Well to be honest I think 790 price made Striple have to compete even more so that's why Triumph stepped up their game, either way good time to be the buyer ;)
Great review, roads looked a bit wet, would be fun to see you ride it on dry roads with suspension setup for you. Will be looking out for that rocket ride and all the other great vids. Cheers!
Really enjoyed this review. I've an RSV4RF which is too much on my local roads, it's the best bike I've ever had by a stretch, but you just can't use it on the highways. So, was considering changing it for either the Tuono or Street RS, but was worried the Street wouldn't have enough grunt.......it seems I needn't worry based on your comments. Booked a test ride !!
Nice one Chops, enjoyed that. I’d be intrigued to se how it compares to the new KTM 890R. Those two are currently top of the list for a possible new bike next spring.
It’s crazy I have a 21’ MT09 and think it’s near perfect but I really want a Street Triple RS also. Then again I wouldn’t mind a Duke 890R either. It’s my favorite class of bikes. They’re all awesome.
Great review, your ability to describe the way the bike rides is very good. How about a side profile view with you on board to give us an idea of the ergonomics of the bikes you test? Reach to handlebars, angle of knee bend, position of foot pegs etc. Don't point at your feet when you put them on the ground though like TMF, we already know your feet are on the end of your legs lol
I must admit I was looking at the Tracer 900 as the best all rounder (single carriageway, dual carriageway, touring). But after seeing this bike - the looks, the engine, the compactness. Did I mention the looks? I am only 5ft 7 so I reckon this would be a good size, and at only 10 stone, there must be enough grunt in that engine for my weight. I would have to put a screen on it though, that's the only thing. I love naked bikes but not at dual carriageway speeds! Great review as always!
Nice review... Little tuono... Is the name for it...i think the same ergonomics are quite the same... You find everything blind... 😁😁😁 Can't wait to test ride this machine...
Excellent audio and video quality mate! I also enjoyed with how thrilled you sounded. Planning to get the R as my first bike (Thought I’ve known to ride for 8-9 years), any thoughts on if it’s a good or bad idea?
Be very interesting in its one make race class next year. Giving points for the naked and bolt on faired flavour. The ABS even in track mode cannot be turned off, So Gary Johnson was telling the 44teeth tester. Euro5 has a stranglehold that’s getting stronger by the year.
Pulled the trigger and traded in my Tuono for the 2020 Street RS. What a cool bike! Nowhere near as fast, but more than fast enough. Feels good, makes a great noise, handles well. My only real complaint is the new dash graphics. They SUCK. Triumph changed them for the sake of change, and while they are pretty to look at, they are horrible to USE. Completely useless while riding. Triumph, please put out a software update and let us use the screens from the 2017-2019 RS models. They are WAY better. Far more useless and look much nicer...
Loved the video and also that Insta360 is great! Just 2 corrections though I'd kindly like to mention: The 9% torque increase is in the midrange and not overall, hence the torque figure is the same as before and it doesn't have IMU and it's been criticized a lot for that.
I was looking for someone else to point out it's missing the IMU too, as I didn't wanna be that "guy". I've always been a fan of the Speed over the Street, but if this came with the IMU, I would be looking at one of these over the Speed. Seems like a miss by Triumph for an otherwise great bike.
@@LambChopRides I see you got "drug" through the comments over this. I know it has to be hard keeping track of which bike offers what, since you get to ride so many lovely machines. All and all another great review. Cheers!

Can you get a speed triple and do a comparison video. I'm undecided between the two. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your videos.
Triumph is so good that ktm has had to make an 890r to get sales back from the street triple and its euro 5 but also sounds nice plus its British 👌😍
Well to be honest I think 790 price made Striple have to compete even more so that's why Triumph stepped up their game, either way good time to be the buyer ;)
Have at it I say. We get better bikes to choose from
Being a big lad myself (6 4)
Any chance you could film your seating positions on these bikes?
Love the videos mate - keep them up 😊
Superb video! Great images and sound too. What a bike!
Great review, roads looked a bit wet, would be fun to see you ride it on dry roads with suspension setup for you. Will be looking out for that rocket ride and all the other great vids. Cheers!
Fyi the street triple doesn't have an imu.
So no lean sensitive ABS or tractioncontrol
Really enjoyed this review. I've an RSV4RF which is too much on my local roads, it's the best bike I've ever had by a stretch, but you just can't use it on the highways. So, was considering changing it for either the Tuono or Street RS, but was worried the Street wouldn't have enough grunt.......it seems I needn't worry based on your comments. Booked a test ride !!
I never even knew I wanted self-cancelling indicators so much! I do now! Game changer..... :D
If not for the comical headlights, this bike would be perfection.
Nice one Chops, enjoyed that. I’d be intrigued to se how it compares to the new KTM 890R. Those two are currently top of the list for a possible new bike next spring.
yes me too, hoping to ride these back to back for a review
Superb review! I’m considering buying one of these and after watching this you could have just cost me a few quid!🥴👍🏍
I think I'm gonna go buy one tomorrow, your review did it for me.
I like how it sounds.
Thanks matey, problem with the side profile is Im not an average size rider so bit pointless as wont be relevant for 95% of people watching
I get that but I’m 6’2” also
Thank you Rocco Carlino so much for your time to reply. Very helpful.
Just love your video man, keep up the good work!
I didn’t realise you are a local. Cracking machine and those triples always sound so sweet.
If I do get one, I might have to ditch the SP Engineering can off of my 2018 765 RS - as that standard can sounds lush!
Seen it at the bike show and liked it now even more so.
Great review! Should be a nice upgrade from my 2018 STriple S next year, hopefully they make it available in white though
Great review Chops with some excellent camera work. Usually buy x-Demos and have made a note of the plate on that one to make sure I don’t buy it! 🤣
I didn't rev it out, just a little Spirited😁
Nice review... Little tuono... Is the name for it...i think the same ergonomics are quite the same... You find everything blind... 😁😁😁 Can't wait to test ride this machine...
Excellent audio and video quality mate! I also enjoyed with how thrilled you sounded. Planning to get the R as my first bike (Thought I’ve known to ride for 8-9 years), any thoughts on if it’s a good or bad idea?
I have a 2014 675R as a first bike and it’s absolutely fantastic, can’t comment on 765 but would assume it’s also great
great video best ive seen good honest review just bought one
Good review 👍 chops yet again . Like the looks of it thanks from Danny
Thanks Danny
Be very interesting in its one make race class next year. Giving points for the naked and bolt on faired flavour. The ABS even in track mode cannot be turned off, So Gary Johnson was telling the 44teeth tester. Euro5 has a stranglehold that’s getting stronger by the year.
One of these with an SC Exhaust is one of the best sounds ever. Nicer than the 1050 in my opinion
Thanks buddy, yes sorry I made a mistake with the IMU well corrected.
@@LambChopRides I see you got "drug" through the comments over this. I know it has to be hard keeping track of which bike offers what, since you get to ride so many lovely machines. All and all another great review. Cheers!
