Tbh, after your last review I just went and got my dad's senior flex driver... BUT don't you have to have a lower loft for the bendy shaft to work properly? 🤔
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE adjust the swing weight like the supplier clearly asks for. Without the swing weight adjustment you will get results like this. Come on man.......do it right.
I love the premium shafts, Velocores Tour Ad's etc. and new drivers usually go thru 3 or 4 a year but since I got my Autoflex , the right one for my speed and swingweighted properly , there is a chart on the Autoflex sight , its been fantastic , took a few rounds not 5 balls to get used to the lighter swingweight ( D0 )but easily 20 yards longer not counting the 2 or 3 freak balls you hit during the round where its even longer !!! Like any other shaft they are not for everyone but this expensive shaft is saving me thousands !!!! I work in a golfstore and try every new and used club I like but the search for my driver is over. Also the shaft doesnt work well with heavy heads like PING, for the 3 of us in the store that have one we all needed the head to weigh 190 to 192 grams and for me when I tried the light senior shafts they just spun way too much and very inconsistent.
Hey just curious... everyone says ping heads are too heavy for it... but ping offers different weights that would lower the weight over all. I have the 10k with a 28g weight and the overall head weight with that is 200g. If I throw a 18 g weight in it, it is now 190g and lighter than the drivers you are talking about. Am I wrong in my assessment? I have a auto flex on order and have a ping head and just always had this thought process. I get this will lower the moi a bit. But it will still be very forgiving even at that weight. Interested in your opinion on that!
@@Kylez1212you could do that but the 10k won’t have its same forgiveness that you got it for. It should workout with the lighter weight. I would try it with the 28 gram weight first and then if you don’t like it start adjusting the weight
@@npirish425 for sure! Those were my thoughts also... but I think a 10k with a bit of weight out of it will be more forgiving than say a Ltdx LS that weights 193 grams lol but we will see!
You are correct you can do that and it will work , lightening that back weight might make it a hair less forgiving because that heavier weight in that head and position is to help achieve the 10K and it makes sense that the 10K head is lighter compared to the other heads , that being said I am sure that's all Titleist did with mine , also it seems to matter more on the slower swing speed version than the higher speed versions (SF305 compared to the SF505XX ) probably too much droop with the more flexible shafts, Goodluck !!! we now have a fourth guy in one and we all love them. @@Kylez1212
I bought an Autoflex recently, My driver carry was 165 m and now I am at 180m . My club head speed has increase from 82 mph to 88 mph. Shaft is SF 405 and lower the loft from 10.5 to lowest for my TM driver and my swing weight is at D0. My handicap is 14. I have bought different shafts the last couple of years and nothing has improved my carry distance like the Autoflex.
I’m a senior golfer with slow club speed ...bought the Auto Flex shaft and found I am getting longer drives ...approx 10 to 15yards and improved accuracy but not with every club head . I have found the right combo and satisfied with the shaft .....my guess is fitting or trying different club-heads yourself before saying no to the shaft .....another thought is it works better for slow swing speed higher handicap golfers as opposed to more accomplished golfers .
I’ve played the Autoflex shaft for 2 years now and have never hit the driver better in my life. I need to say I have been playing golf for 68 years (my hndcp is still 1.0). I see all these RUclips guys test this and pan it. What they don’t understand is that this shaft needs to be played with a driver head AND a grip that gives you a D0 to D2 swingweight at 46 inch length. The Autoflex shaft does produce high spin and you need to adjust for that. All I know is that I picked up 20 yds carry and hit it consistently straighter than ever. My setup is the Autoflex 405 shaft, Titleist TSR1 head (a very light clubhead), a 35 gram grip and club length of 46 inches. FYI: my clubhead speed these days is 95 mph. I don’t think the Autoflex shaft is really for faster club head speed players. As for the cost, I guess that is determined by how much money you have (I’m NOT rich) and how much golf means to you!
Think this is the second test like this they'e done? Said it then too, you CAN'T just put the AutoFlex in any old club head. Get the swing weight into the C9-D1 range, THEN go hit some drives..
I got an Autoflex from the Titleist rep at my club for $550. It changed my game, after a small break in period, I have never driven the ball better Key is lowering the loft of your driver and you can bomb it with the higher club head speed you get. Adam Scott used it for a while so there is something to it.
That is so good. After the last comparison video, I went and got my dad's TM RBZ stage 2 with senior flex and dropped loft down to 8.5 degrees, and it goes further than my cobra f9 gamer (ex gamer). 😂
Once again someone testing the Autoflex without understanding that the swing weight has to be around a D0. Why don’t you tell your audience what the swing weight was for this test? This test is not comparable at all. You are doing your viewers a disservice.
one would like to think that if you were even considering that sort of cash outlay,(for any driver), you'd get a proper fitting. only channel I've seen give it a proper go was TXG, now club champion. that said, the price is insane. I'd be afraid to try it, with my luck it would be crazy good and I'd have to sell the wife or kids to get one.
Yes, it's a gimmick, but with the right swing tempo, it appears to work. You'd have to let Josh practice an hour or two to find the right swing and tempo before comparing it to the senior shaft. Then, you have to commit to changing your golf swing permanently if you decide to play it.
@@edanzore Ruin is such a strong word... I imagine that if you install this AutoFlex magic wand in your driver head and you like the way it performs enough to game it, then the new swing tempo you develop is your driver swing. Another great video, it shows that just because a shaft is more expensive it doesn’t mean you are going to hit it further. The auto flex shaft looked so whippet I am not surprised Josh didn’t know where the club head was. I am not sure who these shafts are suited to and 850 dollars is a lot to pay if it is not right - equivalent to 2 drivers or 1/2 sets of irons. In my opinion not worth the money!

I'm an X100/X stiff Tensei white player usually, but not getting any younger. I had to stop playing last October due to some bad wrist issues. I don't have a way to try an autoflex, but I did try a 40 gram shaft that is meant for a TSR1, yesterday on my TSR3, no numbers, outdoors, 35 degrees (Fahrenheit), with range balls. It certainly didn't seem cause me any issues, and it looks promising enough to test out further. I have already changed to irons with a 65 gram graphite shafts that are working great, and much easier on my wrist.
@HowGoodGolf lmao! Would he normally play with a senior flex shaft? It's crazy how well he hit that. It seems like it would be easy to end up with a lot of push/slices due to the face staying open due to the shaft flex for someone that has 110mph swing speed.
