Red was so dialed! Terrific numbers, great-looking ball flight. Beginning of last season, I was fit into TR Blue; very possible I book another fitting session this offseason.
So, the takeaway is to spend a little more on the correct shaft (not an outrageous amount like the Autoflex) and spend a little less on the club head (maybe last year’s model) to get the proper combination. Fujikura makes great shafts. Cheers.
Matt always been a great driver of the golf ball, not sure why his name is Mr short game hahaha. Ty you guys , enjoyed that. Matt's the real deal. Honesty goes a long way on social media.
My man rocking the 86 OG big bubble Chicagos! Probably one of the most underrated air max releases. So I sick colorway and probably the most comfortable 86 air max I ever wore
Matt, have been watching you for years since you lived in SD. Videos like this have helped me a ton, I added a Ventus Red TR 5S last year to my driver and made a big difference on strike
So good! I watched this video like 10 times… as I have very similar swing speeds, and was sitting thinking the blue v+ would be good but your video perked my interest for the red! What is your playing length? Do you cut shorter than standard 45.5/.25? Love all your content btw
8:00 the droop is actually one of these essential Factors that make Golf really hard unless you swing all shots at the same speed. So rule should be installed allowing the center line of the shaft go through the center of gravity of the clubhead.
All I can say is WOW boys. I really enjoyed this vlog and learned a lot from both of you guys. You've found new weapons in your golf bag now with new driver shafts and now your both hitting long bombs down the pipe in the middle of the fairway. Enjoy your new toys and keep up on your golf this golf season 👍
Hi Mr Short Game! I enjoyed watching your Monday Qualifier in Michigan and good on you for documenting that challenge! Quick question…from your expert opinion, will the Eye Mini give same level of accuracy as BLP/GC3 across all metrics and clubs? Hard to find a straight answer on this as brand loyalty, sponsorship tend to creep in! Thanks, Jeff
Off topic comment, but do you have any tips on how to recover your body between rounds of a 4 day tournament I have coming up? I'm 44 with no medical problems, but I typically have general soreness after a typical round when I really swing hard. I was thinking of dumping a bag of ice in the hotel bath tub and taking an ice bath? More like a cold water bath, as I don't think a bag or two of ice will get it super cold.
Question. I played Diamana whiteboard 7x. ball speed about 150-155 swing speed about 100-105. Thinking about getting Ventus Blue velocore +. Should I go with 6s or 6x?
Amazing results! After watching you animals man handle Steele I fear the course will never be the same when I play there. 😂😂Might need a visit to Carlsbad too.
How big of a difference is there between the Nippon 1150gh taper stiff shaft and the dynamic gold mid 115 S300? Just curious if anyone has used either before
Seems like your spin is on the low side to be optimal. I would think if yall switched your spinrates it would be better for both of you given the difference in swing speeds. I guess it cones down to preference.
Has to be a misread at 16:26 no way you jumped to 180 ball speed after hitting in the 150s. Great hit but that’s like 16mph of additional club head speed.
You've just proved what the Club Champion boys preach, that "low spin" and "high spin" shafts don't exist, it's just a method of club delivery. That red profile was so good for you at optimising strike that the spin dropped way down and into that perfect window, you sure as anything can't call the red a high spin shaft with numbers you put up in this video.
Sorry.. to me it's still the TXG boys. Club champion in Seattle did me a dis-service by building a set of irons that were 1/2" shorter than fitted. Eventually had a talk with Mike and they built me a full set of TM irons and fitted me with the Autoflex 505. AMAZING! Ian and Mikey are super nice guys. MIss Matty on the channel as they had amazing chemistry as well. I'm enjoying his channel although I wish he had time to post more videos.
@@dzaino1986 Ian Fraser is leaving Club Champion. He'll be gone by the end of 2024. He's now starting the Fraser Golf Institute. The new channel is at www.youtube.com/@FraserGolfInstitute . Content to start in the new year, I expect.
Another kind of bullshit video that means nothing to the average golfer. For the average golfer, the shaft means nothing in terms of improving ones game. Nothing. Except for graphite versus steel. All average golfers are better off with graphite. Doesn't matter whether it's super expensive shafts or cheap shafts. Complete bullshit.
Kinda harsh words for a free video out there in the Internet, not? What about appreciating free content and watching only the stuff that you like? There is always another video out there you can watch instead of this one. What a bulllshit comment
After every drive, there was this sense of amazement and a "WoW!". After every one of my drives there's usually a WTF?
Red was so dialed! Terrific numbers, great-looking ball flight.

I love Mr short game

The head is far more important than the shaft, as has been repeatedly stated by master fitter Ian Fraser on the TXG/Club Champion channel.
Matt always been a great driver of the golf ball, not sure why his name is Mr short game hahaha. Ty you guys , enjoyed that. Matt's the real deal. Honesty goes a long way on social media.
Great video, studio to real world results.
Loving the sound of Shorties club hitting the ball.❤
Great video Matt as always. Thank you

you get the game you can afford. sad reality....
Great info! Thanks!!

good video love it
I remember Blair from the OG Gabriel Writer videos! Lets go!

Love Ventus 🔥
Been playing the red for the last 2 years. Love that shaft
Cool to see Blaire is still out there playing. I remember him from the "MTI" youtube channel days.
Love my ventus red and you are hitting bomb drives!

Ventus are great shafts, but I would like to see tips on going between shaft brands and etc...
Tempo looking good!
Btw, love my Ventus Blue w Velecore...best shaft I've ever played.
Love seeing your on course videos in SD.
Since you played Steel Canyon you could have popped next-door and played Cottonweed.
He could’ve also gone to singing hills at sycuan
I literally grew up at cottonwood. Met my first rattler next to the water hazard. That was the day i became a MAN. 😆
would've been '85 maybe 86.
Great video, love Fujikura, and Blaire has many new fans, but where’s Coach?
Good fitting. Misread on the ball speed for your next to last drive
Your thumbnail fooled me for a second. I thought you started making tennis videos! Great info as always!

WOW! that Ventus Red Velocore really suits your swing, I am sold, I want the Ventus Red Velo. Cowabunga. Where did you surf?
Mr. Shortgame has already moved back to SoCal! I knew he wouldn't be able to stay in GA too long.
Please please please do a video on course etiquette tips and tricks, I see so many new golfers that break so many unsaid rules!
The red shaft is the same one George Bryan uses in his driver.
How do you book a fitting there?
might have convinced me into getting re-fit and actually spending on an upgraded shaft.
I almost need two sets going from south Ga and wet grainy Bermuda to Long Island and rye bent and fescue.
Question. I played Diamana whiteboard 7x. ball speed about 150-155 swing speed about 100-105. Thinking about getting Ventus Blue velocore +. Should I go with 6s or 6x?
Try both but probably S I would think
What are the kickpoints in those shafts? Are they all the same?
Here first!! LFG!! ⛳️🏌♂️
Fujikura Red 5S I hit this well also, was it tipped a half inch?
No tipping on this one.
Amazing results! After watching you animals man handle Steele I fear the course will never be the same when I play there. 😂😂Might need a visit to Carlsbad too.
What is name of the machine you (3 of you) were looked at that tell the ball speed, spin and carry? Can you direct me a place to buy it?
It's called GC3 from Foresight Sports. They have a newer model out now called GCQuad, pretty pricey but it's really cool tech
How big of a difference is there between the Nippon 1150gh taper stiff shaft and the dynamic gold mid 115 S300? Just curious if anyone has used either before
I have both. Very similar. I slightly prefer the Nippons.
Seems like your spin is on the low side to be optimal. I would think if yall switched your spinrates it would be better for both of you given the difference in swing speeds. I guess it cones down to preference.
What simulator is that?
LOL - Texas Guy responding _ Yes . in the Texas wind we want that "low ball flight"... that rolls out on the hard fairways ... :)
I would switch you to a higher spinning ball to reach 2300 +- 200. Would get more control.
Can’t believe the fitter was surprised that the blue felt different.
The red and black are the most similar profiles in the whole line.
Can you provide the fitting facility contact info?
Mat seriously you have got to go back to that fitter and give him a big TIP that ventus red is money 😅
Mr Long Game 😂
Where do I get fitted!!??
Has to be a misread at 16:26 no way you jumped to 180 ball speed after hitting in the 150s. Great hit but that’s like 16mph of additional club head speed.
What driver heads??????

Shaft don’t really spin it just affects delivery. Loft has way more affect than shaft but the marriage of the two is what mages magic.

Mr. SG showing that we don't need to swing out of our shoes.. too bad this video doesn't forward to every weekend player's phone..
Wish I could afford a shaft fitting with shaft. Never going to happen :( Playing a driver I bought off eBay, make the best of it
Unfortunately there is not a company that will let you take the driver out of the store to the course to test.
Did you like his stiff shafts?
Shut up and take my money 😂
Spin numbers too low
so shafts are like women. gotcha
I never heard the rule that says that you decide what golfers must know
is that something that you just made-up or what
Another kind of bullshit video that means nothing to the average golfer. For the average golfer, the shaft means nothing in terms of improving ones game. Nothing. Except for graphite versus steel. All average golfers are better off with graphite. Doesn't matter whether it's super expensive shafts or cheap shafts. Complete bullshit.
All average golfers can't break 100. So there is no reason they should be spending 350 on a shift
Use the 350 on lessons.
